    The fact he did eveything on his own and won Mr Olimpia 6 times. Is fckin crazy. This man knew eveything about his body and I don't think ppl realize how hard it can be to be peaked perfectly right before u step on stage and all the minor adjustments u have to make all the time esp before a show. It's kinda mind blowing he did it all on his own and got the results he did

    I could listen to Yates talk about paint drying and I'd be fascinated, the way he portrays himself and the way he gets his point across is awesome.

      I think Ronnie is the best but DY is my favorite... if that makes any sense lol. I like his mentality and insight so much it makes up for the 1-2% better that Ronnie was. I really don't think it's debatable that Ronnie's physique was more ascetic, Dorian was more of a guy that just smashed everyone with his size.

    I think ive seen every dorian yates interview and didnt think anyone would draw anything new from him, but you surprised me. You did it in such a chilled out and natural way, i mean you went to the mans town, makes the interview so much more relaxed. that made the interview so much more genuine and natural and Dorian ended up going into more detail and just speaking more as a result. Awesome job!

    I saw Dorian at a posing sesh in West Yorkshire at a pub called the Barnsley oak in the mid-'90s and was frankly astounded at what I saw. I was bubbling with questions but barely dared to ask. As times gone by I`m now finding myself fizzing with questions on a far more broad-reaching level with Dorian. His muscular structure was beyond comparison, but the front of his mind was and is far wider than the back.[ Pun intended]
    A great spirit.

    • @TheLusianPopa
      @TheLusianPopa Před 4 lety +3

      Yates would win
      Ronnie only matched Dorian's hardness and dryness when he was 245-50 lb in 98-99 but Yates competed at 257-260 lb.
      Ronnie wins the front and back double biceps and side chest ,but Yates returns equally the favour in the side triceps, abs& thigh and front lat spread
      the rear lat spread would decide it,and i don't think Ronnie at 245 lb would have the width to hang with a 95 Dorian Yates
      In the quarter turns Yates would also have the edge since he is thicker and has more depth in the 2 side relaxed poses( especially compared to a lightweight Coleman).In the rear relaxed I'd say Yates is more balanced, Ronnies calves were tiny and glutes too large( no homo).In the front relaxed Coleman has a better V-taper and quad sweep but also in 98 version had a gyno...
      Posing round is not even worth debating, Dorian was a better poser in every aspect.Hit the mandatories better and his transitions way better.Even in 98-99 Ronnie's side triceps or abs & thigh were awkward and crooked looking,also he didnthit the front lat spread effectively.Yates also had more variety to his routines,Ronnies were always a bunch of front and back double bis and variations of the most muscular, a pose that wasnt a mandtaory until 2004,aka it dont count for much.
