For anyone that’s doing this. The part where you have to wind the wires, be very gentle with the wheel they are wound on, the teeth broke on mine because I overwound them and pulled to tension. Also after winding and setting the wheel into its place, if the cable is hard to wrap around the pilot because you need another 10 mm of slack you’re good that’s how it should be, keep trying til it works. If there’s not enough cable and you have a fingers length til it reaches the pulley you wound one time too many and you need to undo one. Hope this helps, also the metal casing covering the wheel the cables are wound on can be taken off by bending just one of the teeth out from its place.
Pulled mine today and the cables for the motor were in between the wire harness. I couldn't figure out how to disconnect the motor from the cables so I cut the cables. I'm guessing my Miata was made on a Monday... Thanks for the video man it saved me a bunch of time.

So my right window rolls down fine but my left one don't at all I changed the window switches and it didn't work and then I got a whole new window regulator and I put it in and it moved a little then popped on the regulator and stopped working. Does that mean there is a short in the the wiring or am I missing something

We have a warehouse full of parts for sale for Miatas, especially NB's, and plenty of windows if anyone wants to buy one. It's just not common to see them at local you-pull-it yards.
Been doing the same for my NA.. luckily I know a guy who has an extra door, otherwise I’d be buying one for 200 off eBay. Hopefully one that didn’t get thrown across the concrete
70% of this video is the camera man recording the plastic covering whatever you’re showing and constantly out of focus and the other 30% is constant moving around that doesn’t show clearly what people need to do.
Such a terribly recorded video for something that’s so simple.
