Aaah, the job ive put off for 6 years. fixing my windows. one day... one day!
honestly not tht hard mate, even easier if you get a motor and mechanism all in one, get it done so you can use the drive thru 🤣😂
@@Project380 i bought a passenger side motor and mwchanism 4 years ago!still in my cupboard! Hahaha
@@dog_chasing_cars7576 😂😂 my car sat for five years before i started it
@@Project380 glad it isnt just me!
Thank you sir!
You are welcome!
excellent video, about to replace my pass. window reg on mine.
is it possible to pull the motor and slider out the speaker hole? to avoid removing the front window rail?
good luck. no afraid not as its too much of an angle
Heads up for anyone watching this. It is not required to remove the front window guide seals. This is very, very risky.. The seals are old, likely to tear, and are difficult to get back into place. It's much easier to only unbolt the three nuts on the door, this will allow you to (carefully) wiggle that guide enough to get the motor out. Be careful not to torque it enough to break the window, but imo it's safer vs messing with that seal around the front quarter window.
thanks for the heads up. i personally haven't had an issue or a mishap with the window or seal
Another awesome video!!! Although lack of a safety warning of getting black stuff in your hat....
its so cold at the minuet tht the black stuff just aint a problem it goes brittle. now in the summer its a real problem 🤣
I need to do something about the drivers side window. It goes down but stops halfway. Goes back up though.
yep sounds like the bush has worn out or the runner is clogged with dry grease
So what’s the fix for this
@@fishindude85 I fixed mine with a good cleaning. A friend of mine also applied some type of grease. Not only my window is working again, it's also very fast. Did the passenger side too. Couldn't believe that my NB could open and close it's windows so fast.
You did not have to remove the wing window channel just had to make it loose to move it a little, and the rubber door window seal don't remove it. with the channels loose there is a lot movement. Just some unnecessary work.
yep i know that but for people doing it for there first time its just safer to remove them. with these out the way you definitely wont twist the smaller window and potentially break it and you can then get the motor out with ease.
plus then you can clean everything while its out and investigate for corrosion and blocked drain holes in the inner door
Today’s only thing is the spelling on the thumbnail... Wright??? Is that correct??
dicklexia strikes again and i assumed
