Geralt embraces his destiny as he protects Ciri from the forces battling for control of the Continent - and from the mysterious power she possesses. - Zábava
Can't stop thinking about how Jaskier did a break up song and went full Taylor Swift on Geralt's ass
Burn Butcher Burn took me completely by surprise. Joey Batey has some serious lungs on him.
I loved it haha
I love that song i love all his songs I haven't stopped listening
Queen of break up songs? Oh yeah, I've heard of the bard
@@unsweetenedfruit it actualy was pretty emotional, it was a nice touch to show back jaskier, i like the dynamic of the character for season 2 so far
The way Henry compliments and raves about his co-actors is so sincere and heartfelt and their reactions to it are so genuine. 🥺❤️ He is obviously such an observant and thoughtful friend, he did not fail to compliment each one of the three, even the actors that were only mentioned in passing yet he still raved about their performances like a fan-- he's one of the most down-to-earth celebrities I've ever seen.
I was just going to comment this - such a genuinely lovely person who clearly has great admiration for the people he works with and so quick to compliment ❤️
Henry Cavill is England's Keanu Reeves.
@@chaosapiant There's only a handful that tops Keanu Reeves and the one among that handful that straight up tops Keanu Reeves is Jesus Christ.

King of Nerds!
Witcherhead.
He has the Bestiary in his head
To bad he couldn't stop the wild adjustments made to the pacing and story itself. Love him though.
Henry is the only person in this show that really understand this story and characters
Anya talking about sacrificing Ciri, and all you see is Henry’s eyebrow lift up and smirk just JUDGING HER 😂😂😂 I love him so much he’s one of us literally
Sacrificing Ciri was one of the worst ideas in the entire series. Why do the writers keep changing everything about characters' behaviour?
“You are brilliant. You will be perfectly matched.” Henry & Joey are the best duo, you can really tell how much they truly respect each other. 💫
I don't know how Felicia kept it together after Henry Cavill said "hello", because that is where I would have gone speechless.
They wouldve needed to mop the floor around my chair if it was me in her place
Well after working with hunks like Jared and Jensen this should be a breeze 🙃
@@amarawinchester963 They have *nothing* on Cavill!! Not only does he have the looks, the humility, and the talent...he has the *accent*, too!!
@@unnatural6edq I love Jensen more :)
Henry is just a big nerd himself I love it, trust his judgement and we won't get another GoT season 8 scenario
Yes, I was thinking the same. The good thing is, the witcher books are out, not like GOT, so the material is there.
But season 2 is already GOT season 8 scenario! They butchered the original story and characters.
Omg I just realized the host is THE Felicia Day aka creator, writer, producer, star of The Guild!! I couldn't figure out why she sounded and looked familiar to me until I finally did a Google search and realized I've not seen her face in years and was so used to seeing her with red hair. She is truly the perfect person to do this behind the scenes style show especially since the showrunner is a woman which is still fairly uncommon in general across all genres but especially in fantasy. I hope this style of show continues with Felicia throughout the series run.
If you miss The Guild, they play DnD together and sort of try to stay in character-streams are on CZcams and Twitch.
Awe poor Henry tried so hard to keep the show faithful to the books
Henry and Joey doing a charity Warhammer battle would be so awesome!! Necron vs custodes let's go!!
Someone needs to make this happen
Henry being so humble, paternal figure in the cast as he supports youngest Freya as long as all others and compliments them on doing hard and good job. this man is a treasure
I often don’t have the patience to watch an hour long interview, but this one was very well done and I easily sat through the whole thing. It helps that Felicia is such a good host who’s actually interested and informed.
Felicia nailed it, I feel the same about "boring"-interviews, but this one was fun and enjoyable, cant wait for Season 3
Not gonna lie, having Charlie host a Witcher interview, squee. Talk about geeking out. Lol
Coen and Lambert giving the showrunner a script was freaking hilarious
Let’s be honest. She needs all the help she can get
@@zordo90 yes. I like Lauren as a person. But she's not a good showrunner.
what i love the most is how strongly you can feel that henry knows and loves the books so much. he gives detailed and very poignant answers about everything related to the characters, world or the plot. you can tell he not only read the books but loved and thought about them a lot. as a fan he's the type of actor you just feel safe with, like you know your favourite character is in safe hands with him because he understands him. i love that so much about him.
Jaskier stole my heart this season. Loved every scene he was in😍 Absolutely love the cast and show!
Can we just genuinely acclaim Felicia Day for how good she is as a Witcher host?
nope
She was amazing
She is geek royalty at this point.
10/10 host!!

Really loved watching it
Even though I knew about the Emperor Identity Twist, The actor's performance still gave me goosebumps. Thank you sir!
Henry is such a loving and supportin main actor here. Always praising and believing in Joey, Anya and Freya aswell. Must be great to work with him.
I just want Joey and Henry to film their battle and put it on CZcams
It's always nice to see this cast interacting with each other, especially Henry, Anya, Freya and Joey, they all have a great chemistry on and off screen ❤️
Loved the season. The wait for season 3 is going to be painful!
yeah.. you're right.
God I hope it isn’t 750 soemthing days again
Another year wait
@@ZazaGlam only a year? I wish...we are lucky if they start next year after a few months. There's a book to be read, a script to be done, thinking about what they can do and how they want to divide it, and the most important if the actors will be available and not involved in other projects. I would say another 2 years if we're lucky and as you can see there's plenty of content to work with and also an audience to be pleased but as we know Netflix they have a talent at screwing up things and cancel the series if the next season goes sideways so fingers crossed.

The Emhyr Reveal really yoinked me out of my chair. what an amazing moment
One thing the show needs is titles of where they are in each kingdom and maybe a map show there travels.
Yes! I kind of wish (now that we know the 'twist' of the storyline timeline of season 1) that they would re-upload season 1 with time stamps and locations.

Daddy of Rivia
In the mind trap Ciri was in, all of the people turned into blue dust, except Duny/Emhyr and I was wondering if he was still alive.
Currently in the middle of another New Vegas playthrough and came here to watch a vid during my rest period. Imagine my confusion when Veronica suddenly started speaking to me even out of game.
43:31 Kim just going full F-bomb and stunning everyone. I love him even more!
It made it even funnier when we remember how Henry restrained himself from saying shit that one time. And Kim just goes carpet bombing with fucks all the way.
I'm so glad this video exists. By the end of season 2, like others, I had significant issues coming from the books, but even just seeing Lauren explain some of her intentions and thoughts behind the decisions they've made, and that they have thought through the options (like recasting Emhyr and what an early reveal does for the characterisation of Nilfgaard, which btw i think is a wise decision, as opposed to introducing him at the end & how introducing the Deathless Mother is their way of bringing the different stories together while introducing some interesting action sequences to the otherwise quite character focused story, and not just about adding a flashy new monster), it betters my hope for the future of the show and how some of these seemingly bad relationship decisions will be dealt with, and hopefully will lead to stronger relationships (although you did break the most fundamental part of a mother-daughter relationship to be, which is trust. I wish them luck fixing that one).
Unlike some people, I don't think that Lauren greatly misunderstands the source material, and videos like this reinforce that. Seeing her talk about how people have concocted that Witchers don't feel emotion, and that the Witchers have taken on that mantle to better operate in their profession, shows me that she does have some clear understanding, and it brings me comfort and hope for future seasons. Before taking these narrative changes at face value and screaming that she has no idea what she's doing on twitter, try to be more observant of what she's saying in videos like these, and maybe re-evaluate your personal biases.
Also, I love Felicia Day as the Host. She isn't afraid to ask these somewhat confrontational questions, like why oh why did they introduce a gaggle on new Witchers to kill them off shortly afterwards?? However, she is also able to bring it back from that confrontational place with her genuine love for the show.
Please do a segment like this after each season, it really is great.
Also (again), Henry Cavill bringing his love for the franchise and faithfulness to the books to his portrayal of Geralt is great to see as always
When Lauren talks about the world of the Witcher it sound interesting indeed. But the implementation of the ideas, execution in the series is terrible.
I complelety agree with you on Lauren. On multiple occasions in the interview she brings up Andrzej Sapkowski and how who he was and where his inspirations came from, knowing the author is knowing the books. The explaination of the baba yagu was perfect imo.
I completely agree I actually like that the show doesn't exactly follow the books, I think it's an attribute rather than a negative. Frankly no one can tell this exact story better then it has already been told and so for me following the books exactly would be a disadvantage to the show. I enjoy seeing a different take, a different path to the same story, keeping the characters and staying true to them and the story but also adding a personal touch and humanity to them it's what makes the show fun to watch despite knowing the general plot
Tbh, this is only an issue for fanboys. I don’t know a lot about the Witcher, only played the Witcher 3 and can just watch it without being really biased.
@@BrutusMaximusAurelius But the writing this season is really bad. It doesn't matter if you read books or not. And what's with this overused argument "it cannot be exactly like in the book"?. Of course not. Everyone knows that! But people want good story which makes sense. Even if you compare S1 and S2 many things don't make sense. Just look at the writers work before the Witcher - they are inexperienced and it shows.
I understand changes from the books are inevitable, but I am very upset with what they did to Yennefer and ciri's relationship, not even the same character. Vesemir giving ciri the mutigen without consulting Geralt first was ridiculous.
Yennefer I agree it was terrible what they did with her relationship with Ciri. Even in their own version what Yennefer did was incoherent.
But for Vezimir I beg to differ I have no problem with that.
As someone who really liked S1 and was totally fine with them making changes from the books ... I am still super dissappointed what they did to the Yen+Geralt+Ciri relationship. I can put up with a lot of nonsense for the sake of TV entertainment but I have no idea how they can come back from this. They changed one of the core elements of the story and character dynamics ...
@@Alvias how's the relationship like in the books?
@@Alvias I agree this was the only change from the books that I really didnt like, lets hope next seasons can fix this
@@alinayazmine2191 in the books Geralt sends for yennefer to come to temple to train Ciri. We get a whole training sequence with them together, where ciri gets to ask not just magic questions, but girly questions, talk about geralt...they build a beautiful bond where they poke fun at each other all the time, like Yennefer would call ciri "my ugly one," and ciri would just laugh. They were truly beautiful together in the books.
I love this type of interview/discussion. Great work and lots of opinions and ideas talked about. 👍🏼
Wow, Felicia hasn't aged a day since last I saw her in The Guild. Also, great interviews. I love the flow.

The Roach tribute at the end.. tears in my eyes truly 😢
I'm reading your comment only 40 minutes into watching this and I literally dropped my phone and said, "oh NO!"

I really enjoyed season 2, only thing I didnt like was that they killed off eskal. Bit like how they killed of moosack in season 1. But this is an adaptation, and you can't expect a 1 for 1 recreation. Keeps the story fresh
Except they also made Eskel into creepy asshole before killing him. I'm not fresh on the books, but from memory he actually was the nicest of the Witchers.
There's keeping the story fresh and then there's just making up your own shit story and refusing to adapt at all.
@@Telos1807 Exactly! Thank you. I only see good comments everywhere, it's like only 1% of the people actually read the books...

I wanna see henry join. Critical role for one episode
Wonderful segment, especially the final part with Lauren
I'm really curious to know if Eskel's medallion was mutated along with him. The one we see in the show has a "twisted nature" look
Henry just complimenting everyone the whole time 😭
I guess I understand why Eskel was killed off but they shouldn’t of made him a jerk. People who don’t know Eskel won’t care that he got killed but people who do will just be confused. They should of made him a better character, then killed him so it could really hurt. I know he was being a jerk because he was possessed by a Leshan but that was just annoying. Overall this interview was very good and this host loves and knows her stuff.
Well I'm just a show viewer and the flashback that Geralt had with him was enough for me to understand he was a good boy :'( it was def a sad death to me :(
i think a lot of people who only watch the show think established book/game fans are overreacting about eskel, but what they don't get is that regardless of how he was a side-character, he still had a vivid presence in fanon for years long. book/game fans knew that at this point the other witcher characters will get introduced too and been excited for it, have been waiting to see it for years till we hit this point. so it completely makes sense that they'd be disappointed by the show runners not only killing him off but also making him into a jerk regardless of reason.
eskel might have been a side-character but in the books when geralt and ciri come to the keep there are only other 4 witchers there, not 20 like in the show, so those 4's presence is vivid in our minds. they're not the expendable kind you get on page then 5 paragraphs later he's dead. which is how it felt in the show. so yeah i think it's not an overreaction if people feel disappointed in that change. and i don't really agree with what the show runner said about it either, how it was necessary to kickstart geralt on the path of looking more into what's going on with ciri. because we read the books, and the books achieve to do that without any big death at the keep. so yeah.
Love the Roach send off at the end. ❤️
An excellent display of how the choice of such an excellent host for the event, elevates the whole thing and makes all the cast members and show runner feel completely relaxed and engaged throughout.
I stumbled upon this video randomly after watching some WH2 vids with Tom and Ben from the Yogscast. Though I instantly remember Felicia Day from one of my first series I watched on youtube, The Guild! Amazing!
Insane interview, such passion shining out from everyone, i wish more project were made out of passion like that and not just greedy cash grab for licence exploitation.
Hearing the lauren the showrunner talking the script and all im convinced that she is involved in it and that she tried to honor the source materiel, thats is why even with making changes, needed or not, the show feels good because it was made with respect !
Thanks you all for working on this project, i wish more "geek" project were made this way
Loved this season, and this post finale special as well. I just wanted to mention to the geeked set designers how amazing the set for the special turned out. The lights that look like Gerald’s eyes, the modern yet “ancient witcher vibes” furniture and decor, it didn’t go by unnoticed!
You just know that Henry has read every single Horus Heresy novel.
I’m a book reader and although I have a few niggles I enjoyed season 2 a lot. Much more than season one. I think so much of it was very well done.
I will say that I’m a bit disappointed with the change in direction in regards to the Ciri/Yennifer dynamic but I can completely still see space to honour the source material with them in season 3 given the trajectory of the story.
My biggest niggle is with Yennifer though. For those who have read the books we know Yennifer is… complex. She’s not a bad person but is very capable of being selfish as well as quite morally grey. But I don’t see her character being selfish and morally grey to the point of sacrificing a young girl simply to get her powers back. I think that took her character in the wrong direction. Yennifer can be a down right unsympathetic character at times where the reader can dislike her in certain moments but ultimately she’s not a bad person. I think this took her character down too dark a path.
You're exactly right on Yenn. Even if they did a redemption arch with her, one of her center characteristics in the source material is that while she tends to treat everyone around her like trash, the only categorical exception is Ciri. She's a maternal figure to her, a womanly counterpart to Geralt's role towards Ciri. She can have her significant flaws and struggle with those, but in the lore, even considering to betray Ciri would be absolutely unthinkable to her. The actors are doing a splendid job. The same can't be said about the writers though.
@@danhammer106 Exactly. She fiercely loves Ciri. But even with her she is kinda terrible to in the very beginning. It’s through Ciri that Yennifer’s better character traits really come to the surface.
It’s a very good interview. The reporter is really knowledgeable and does it well
Reporter? That's Felicia Day. She's the QUEEN of the geeks. Plus, she's an actress in her own right and has appeared in a lot of different productions.
she is sooo cool..lovely with fans..such a true kind heart
I love how the showrunner not only got her own segment, but that's almost like she needed it because she wanted to talk so much
all i can say is, I'm very glad that I didn't have much prior knowledge or strong attachment to the Witcher source material because i think this series would really annoy me otherwise. That being said, i do appreciate the attempt to adapt something that is so widely beloved all over the world because it must be very challenging.
yeah, I feel butthurt watching the show
It wasn’t annoying at all
The attemp to adapt - well at least they tried to adapt it in season 1. Season 2 is pure fanfiction.
@@xonikkiecal that's great then.
@@JanKowalski-th5re yeah. I realised that after watching some of the interviews they did. I don't really mind the showrunner is making up parts of it (as long as it is better than the original story). I can't really get behind changing characters, like what they did with Eskel. He's important and a well liked character I wouldn't go the route they did
