Tovolar, Dire Overlord | EDH $100 Budget Deck Tech | Commander | Innistrad Midnight Hunt | Werewolf

On BudgetEDH we build fun and optimized commander decks with a pre-set budget in mind. In this week's episode, we build a $100 budget Tovolar, Dire Overlord deck from the Magic the Gathering set Innistrad Midnight Hunt. Tovolar is a legendary werewolf that has the powerful ability to let us draw cards when our wolves and werewolves deal combat damage to our opponents. He also has the ability to use your extra mana to pump up your werewolves and give them trample on the werewolf side. In this deck we focus heavily on developing combat superiority so that we can take advantage of Tovolar's card draw triggers. Is this the werewolf commander that we have been looking for? Sweet deck! I’ve been looking for a nice Werewolves commander for a while. One really cool idea I’d love to see would be a precon upgrade of the UB deck, but with Eloise as the commander. She’s definitely a commander people are sleeping on that can be super fun and do really cool things.

Hey man great video and deck, Wizards finally came through with a werewolf commander. I have just one question, my play group is mainly precons out of the box or with small updates, would you say this is good to play against them or too powerfull?

I'm taking a long look at War Cadence and Bedlam for this deck. Having legitimate unblockable in Gruul would do Edric proud, and make sure that we can get our wolves through for big damage and card draw.
