Awesome review as always, thanks Sarah. But now I miss my old G37 Coupe. My son got T-boned by a pickup traveling 50mph in that G37 and he walked away from it. The car was actually bent like a boomerang but it saved his life. Obviously, this Infiniti will always be near and dear to my heart. Thx again, you rock!
Absolutely love my Q60 🖤 I always come back to this video. Sarah truly appreciates what infiniti has created
This isn’t a baby GT-R 😣 With the right mods and tune it’s the professional mans GT-R! 👔
Funny you say that because the 4 door version (but with 300hp) in Japan is called the Skyline.
More like an M3/4 competitor, the GT-R is another beast all together even if the Q60 can get close to in
in strait line speed.
@Alex Lin - Mostly for marketing purposes its not a real skyline as that would be the R35 GT-R, its more like a Z in a tux.
Which isn't a bad thing when Nissan actually keeps the thing updated. XD
Engine code is same as gtr but less displacement, do more research before commenting to look professional!
The skyline name is not only for the gtr , do your research people
😂 I like that
It is always fun to watch Sarah nerd out on a car. It’s like a kid in a candy shop. Her enthusiasm comes bubbling out of my screen and makes the world a bit better.
How can you not enjoy nerding out over a car like this though? Lol
Sarah, next time you get a car to really nerd out on. Do an episode on it. I would love you have seen a full episode on that engine.

@@SarahnTuned , what are the horsepower and torque readings, as well as the gear ratio, on this particular vehicle, out of curiosity? Also, one could not potential upsides to tinkering with them as well. I also noticed that you live in Tennessee...probably around Nashville. I lived a few hours away from there, as well as Memphis, myself. Finally, MotorWeek would love this vehicle. They are usually fair, honorable, unbiased, just, and truthful when it comes to vehicle reviews. Thanks for replying to my questions.
This is the Nissan Skyline coupe here in Japan. There's supposed to be a Black S which has 571hp, only sold in the US.
there's no stock 571hp q50/q60.
no black s anywhere yet
wizh there will be
Not here yet
Don't see the Black S ever happening with the current state of Nissan and the sales of the Q60 being very poor the last couple of years.
@@615streetsleeper9 Absolutely fucking tragic to be honest. The q50/q60 are such amazing cars. Now that the infotainment got updated in 2020, they're not just amazing deals but they're amazing in general.
My 04 G35 is still kicking hard. Infinitis in general are just awesome cars.
I rented a Q60 S last year to drive all the way across Missouri. Turned off traction control and put it in sport mode for the entire drive, drifted through the length of the state with a huge smile. Best rental ever
Nite to self, didn't buy it from rental company.
Why TF CZcams didn't recommend this channel to me much earlier. Sarah's personality is hilarious! Instant Sub!
AWD of course. Need the grip for snow and ice in my region
Simple bolt ons/E85 and a tune and youre in the 500whp range. The turbo kits are coming out and people are getting 650whp+. The AMS shop Q60 is north of 900whp now. Insane! I have a simple bolt on tuned Q60 and I love surprising all the local V8's :)
This engine will be in the Z and I can't wait to walk Mustangs and Camaros, etc. I already pull away from Mustang 5.0's in my 370Z.
I've had a 2018 Q60 Red Sport AWD for a couple years now. The transmission absolutely lets down the engine, but I think that matters mostly if you plan on using it on a track. I live way up north by Canada's arctic and drive this car year round. The AWD was a must (Which limited the pool of cars I could choose from) and have been very happy with this car in snow and icy conditions. The 2018 didn't have a sport exhaust option, so I've put a Borla exhaust on mine, which was louder than I expected, but was much improved from the factory exhaust. More than anything, I think the Q60 is the most beautiful car in its class (Compared to other AWD coupes, anyway) and I've been extremely happy with it. It's very comfortable for long drives, which I do every year (5000+ kms) and the mileage on the highway is better than I expect for something with that much power. I intend to keep it for a very long time.
How is it treating you now?
How is it now?
I live not that far from the huge Nissan factory here in the UK where they used to make the Infinity, I said used to, they stopped making the Infinity due to a big lack of sales, on the other hand, I love you and your channel! A very refreshing take on car reviews and car repairs/maintenance! Stay safe, stay well!
Great review, as usual, Sarah. You're on point about the transmission too. Jatco transmissions are inferior. They should have used the ZF 8 speed in this car. Keep up the great work.
Because nissan owns jetco that's why they're using it
ZF 8 is ok but the ZF 9 is a Horrible trans. never know if it'll shift and shifts hard and hesitates.
New 9-speed coming...
news.pickuptrucks.com/2020/07/an-up-close-look-at-the-2020-nissan-frontiers-new-9-speed-automatic-transmission.html
They are likelt giving this thing a 9 speed that Nissan just released in its redesign, should be shared with the Z.
Rubbish. Very strong box. This one only need remap for more aggressive.
Definitely the AWD; I live in Newfoundland, Canada. It wouldn’t make any sense to have a rear wheel drive here, but I did drive one before AWD’ s were available.
Thank you very much, Sarah.
The q50 rs is a fun car to drive as well. Transmission is slow, car is kinda heavy, and the platform is still kinda new. If you put the car in manual mode you can make quick launches. Find one lightly used for 20 grand cheaper and get rid of the run flats.
You made me miss my G37 coupe with this review. I loved driving it. You are spot on with the car being a little heavy. That was my impression too. Took a beat or two to get it moving, but then pushed you into the seat a little. Keep up the great videos!
I currently own a Q50 Red Sport and consider it the best vehicle out there
Same same.
I currently own a 2010 Subaru Legacy and consider it the best vehicle out there.
I own a neon RT and I will smoke any car above me.
Thank you for finally doing an Infiniti!!
Nifty commentary. Love it. By the way, "Akebono" means "daybreak" in Japanese.
I thought that was Akatsuki but Japanese is an odd language at the best of times.
I have a Blue 2019 RedSport 400 AWD w/the red interior and carbon fiber package. If you get the 2WD, you will miss out on the awesome pull you get out of a corner and the launches from a dead stop. The suspension, braking, and handling overall is very nice. The only negative thing that I could say about the car is that the transmission sucks!!!! It is very slow to downshift, sometimes it takes a good three seconds to get the car to downshift and to start spooling up those turbos. But once it does, it is pretty quick. I also agree the Q60 is a bit overpriced for what you get. Mine had an MSRP of $69,000 and some change, I wheeled and dealed it down to $52,000 even. Yes, I got a little over $17,000 off of MSRP. The trick is to wait till near the end of the year or pick up a new leftover from the prior year to get the big discounts. What people have to realize is that the MSRP is a made up number, if you pay anywhere near it, you are getting ripped off. In the beginning of the new model year, the car dealers sell to all the suckers with money to spend and as they rip those idiots all off and sales start to slow, then they start getting big discounts from the manufacturer to move the rest of the vehicles. Now, it is up to the dealer to pass on those discounts to the customer, they don't have to. I find the dealers that will and by from them, even if I have to ship the car to my house from a dealer that is far from where I live, I still come out ahead. A few years ago, I bought a new 2018 Jaguar F-Type R in the beginning of 2019 with an MSRP of $112,085, I got it for $75,000 even. Out the door with tax, title, and Reg., it was a little over $79,000. Just be a smart shopper, be patient and don't be afraid to walk away from a deal. That is how you will get your moneys worth. Always remember, they have to sell the car, but you don't have to buy it.
Shout out to Concept Z I've been dealing with them for decades. Great review - I will watch for these used for sure. Thanks, Sarah!
WOW! I watched some of your early car reviews and they were.... Unique. You have really found your stride with the narration in this video. This was an enjoyable car review with a uniquely female, but still car-nerdy feel to it. You nailed it. I'm going to watch more of your videos right after I finish typing this 😁
AWD- Cause here in FL there is a lot of gators and turtles crossing the road!🐢🐊
I have had several Infinit's over the years but my favorite was my 2003 Q45 with the 4.5L V8. Lots of fun for a big luxury barge. My newest car is one you tested a while back - a 2020 Genesis G90 5.0 AWD and like you I love it and so does my spoiled 7 years old granddaughter who gets to ride in the back. Love your reviews.
RWD everyday. More fun, lighter, better handling, and better gas mileage. Plus , living in Phoenix means you'll never need the extra AWD grip.
What tires?
@@sal8372 Firehawk Indy 500
Use the paddles to shift its a whole different experience
01:43That sound was unexpected for a moment I thought that was a fart! OMG! Then I realized it was just a sound effect! I prefer all wheel drive! Great review, Sarah!
You hit the nail on the head! As a former g37 owner, and now a Q50 owner, I always felt the transmission is the one knock on the car. As a sedan the Q50 redsport is competitively priced, essentially paying for the sleek styling of the Q60 coupe.
I’ve been a fanboy of this since I first saw it … sad they’re dropping it but I hope to own one someday
Nice to see another company that's not scared to put in a CD player :)
Coaster Disposal unit 😂
@@SarahnTuned Lols.
@tuboludo Agree.
@tuboludo Yeah I have a lot of CDs even a player in my computer.
tuboludo until someone scratches it 😆
Next level bolstering test too!
This car is shockingly beautiful, wheels and all.
Really enjoy how original and unique your style is...no BS..just honest opinions.
If it’s a baby GT-R, does that make it Godzuki?
Godzuki-kun get some culture amb squared once you add some bolt on’s will be Godzuki-Chan
Nice I'm getting a custom front plate with "Godzuki" on it lol
Godzuki = Godzilla X Suzuki?
"Godfiniti" more like it
@@irzaidm292 Godzuki is baby Godzilla
I love the look of this car, it looks like a maserati
Looks like....but is SURELY more reliable, lol.
You are right about being faster than what's on paper. My Q50 RS is super fast!!!! All the fast listed cars on paper can't believe it either. Toyota also makes their cars faster than what they put on paper. I kind of understand why.
Infiniti should made that exhaust stock on all the q60’s, considering the price tag on this thing.
Being a New Englander, I would opt for the AWD.
I agree with you on ditching the sunroof for a carbon roof. I'd like to do a long distance trip in it. I must say, I was saddened to not see a Penguin riding Shotgun.
Penguins hibernate when it’s triple digit heat out.
@@SarahnTuned Noted.. Has the Frog Gone on a Car Review Yet?
Bought my wife one of these bad boys in rwd. These guys are wicked quick! Shreds the rear tires pushes you back in the seat, stupid fun!
It’s pricey for new ones, but for used, it’s not bad at all. Below 30k for 3 years old 20,000 miles.
You remind me of need for speed most wanted 2005 when your in the garage
True 🤣👌
Midnight Club III: DUB Edition/Remix: "Am I a joke to you"?
Gorgeous automobile.I have a 2019 Q60 red sport twin turbo.👍👍
The bolster wiggle was one of your best.
I own a 2017 Q60rs red sport that’s been modified. It’s a monster against muscle cars
Underrated car. And the coupe is one of the prettier cars.
I agree enthusiast beg for cars like these then never buy them causing them to go out of production too soon
@@SirCentex the car is heavy as fuck. Doesnt come in manual and the transmission is trash. I dont know which enthusiasts you speak of...otherwise its a sexy looking car
@@nateg5915 Yea but will smoke a shit ton of cars!!! And the VR 3.0 can be tuned to monster status! Do your research hater! The seven speed aint that bad you goof!! Lol! Check out boost and motions channel! Got his Q50 To be stupid fast!
Nate G people like you is the reason why they dont make decent sports coupe. how many will buy a manual? barely any. you want an aggressive transmission? how much do you think owners will spend on servicing and repairs? you want a light coupe ? the supra is probably one of the best 2seater out there now... it's cabin noise is very notable. The cabin noise in the A110 is unbearable. So who is gonna buy such cars? who? "purists" like you? stop kidding yourself.
Worst cars ever my friend
The ZF 8 speed would make this car so much better to drive.
Agree
@@SarahnTuned, I have a 17 Giulia base and shifting that transmission in manual mode under hard acceleration always puts a smile on my face.
BTW you should review a Giulia 2.0.
Thanks for commenting and your videos are very entertaining. 👍
I've always said, Nissan & Infinti have done one thing really well, and it's perfected their V6 engines. Unfortunately they have fallen short in every other aspect. Still great cars, I own a G35 Coupe and its such a fun little daily
My 08 M45 Sport was at the peak of there game back then! Taking out BMW ,Mercedes and Lexus at the time!
I have the rear wheel drive version with a borla exhaust and a custom carbon fiber spoiler, and it’s amazing
The exterior is beautiful. The infotainment and gage cluster is so out dated. They look terrible
It's got Apple Carplay now and that's all I need.
GPS is using TomTom now and map life time free updates, and infotainment software it’s all updated, it’s 3 times faster than 2019. It is still two screen, but way better. And 2020 has Digital speed odometer now. And of course Apple CarPlay standard. Go to your local dealer to check it out.
@@jiachangwu1 i prefer the dual screens over other cars with a single screen just plopped on top of the dash. (Looks like an afterthought)
Please don’t say Mustang here....
I have a 2014 Q50 and its the same setup so no updates in 6 years.
Infiniti Q60 is an Amazing car ❤️😍
*My wife has one of these in Red with red interior with the carbon fiber package and AWD. Its a stunning car in person.*
Nice video and at the same time smart presentation of this car, quite interesting and very different from others of the same kind. Clever!!!!
Very nice car. It always catches me eye when I see one on the road.
No point in getting a manual swap in this car. The 400z is likely to have this engine with a manual
But mad props to CZP!!!
That Does sound Nice! in a world of really aweful sounding recent cars, this one stands out
The bolster test should be made as your trademark test in every review 😄
4:20 SkyNet has awaken! Car trying to kill Sarah!
I'd rather have RWD myself. AWD weighs more, consumes more gas, and loads it up with more parts that could break....Plus this is a GT cruiser anyway, not a rally car. I live in CA and it's funny how many Californians buy AWD even though the only time they benefit from it is if they drive up to Tahoe in the winter.
RWD for reasons of lightness and purity of the driving experience. With modern sedans the 2WD can be as fast, or faster than the 4WD.
Because awd is faster... so here’s that
@@brandonwellhausen4394 Lol, if you say so
I love the look of it. The info screen doesn’t stick up like it’s just tacked on.
I used to sell new Infinitis.....and they really are great cars. But I have to agree with your assessment on price. They don't sit right (price-wise) in the new car market place...and it's exactly why you don't see them more often on the streets. Great review. Becoming a big fan of your channel.
AWD here in NE Ohio. RWD in AZ
Somebody called my SC400 a, "Baby Supra," the other day...and then I find this video. Haha
More like the supra in a tuxedo
@@jacksonacar Agreed! It's honestly a better car than the Supra is. Same chassis, suspension, etc....it's like how the Civic and the Integra are both built off the same platform, but the Integra is a wee bit longer, and more luxurious. So, if you have an SC, you basically have a Supra, with wood and leather...if you can, "endure," having a Lexus badge on the hood, instead of a Toyota badge. Hahahaha The 1UZ-FE (V8) in the SC400 actually makes it faster than the NA Supra. If you want to compare turbo cars, then adding a turbo to this V8 makes it every bit as much an HP monster as a 2JZ-GTE can be. And, the V8 is hundreds of pounds lighter, on top of it all. Sorry to go on and on. I really love my car. Hahaha
I also like having a large trunk, and meaningful back seats. LOL
And -- not that it matters to me, because I'm off the shelf anyway, but -- the Lexus has WAAAAAY more, "chick appeal," than the Supra...which only really gets admiration from other dudes. Having a 1,000 hp Supra is like having a body builder's physique. The only people who pay attention to that, are other MEN. Chicks don't care; they just see another sports car. Show up in a tux, though...
I do agree, I had a sc400 and sc430 well Built cars
The factory VR30DDTT in the Q50 and Q60 Red Sports is rated @ 133 hp/l stock.
Add an Ecutek tune (1.3 bar), FI Full Catted DPs, and FI CBE, and my '17 Q60 Red Sport dyno'd @ 437 WHP & 502 WTQ on 93 pump gas (no corn). Assuming 15% driveline loss, that would be 515 hp at the crank, or 172 hp/l.
This car is in between a stinger--which I own and AUDI a5 and a6 and this car that I rent on business trips. The car is more of a GT cruiser and is not quite as fast as my stinger--the car floats more but is slightly more comfortable--the AWD is also set more on the "safe" side like the AUDI.If you are in the market--get one that is a demo or lightly used to save yourself the sticker shock--one of these equipped like my stinger was 14k more. The interior is showing its age--AUDI is the best and even my stinger interior feels more updated. These things are now 60k is the biggest problem. The engine is very smooth and has a smoothe power band as opposed to my Stinger which gets going fast--then bolts once bot turbos are going.I chose a stinger over this because brakes are better--it is faster and better handling--warranty is unbeatable--and it was 15k less. It is an average car at 60k--but after a year in the low 40s--it becomes a great value like a stinger--they need to give it a better longer warranty.
just like the GTR its main letdown is that it comes from the Carlos Ghosn era of Nissan, plus that interior is old AF.
Agreed...interior looks like they stole it from a 2013 Cadillac ATS
No it’s not the interior it’s the infotainment it so outdated the interior is great
I really like the look of these. I don't see too many of them in my area which is kinda sad.
Yeah, it’s a super under rated car! I thoroughly enjoyed it.
@@SarahnTuned Under rated and over priced :(
The fact there are so few of them it's just one of the reasons why I like mine so much. I have all the badging removed and people are constantly asking me what kind of car it is. I read somewhere that they sold only 5,000 last year that is a crazy low number
I love my Q60 and when it dies I will buy another one.
Have always loved your channel. Excellent auto evaluations. Keep up the great work.
With a manual transmission it would be a beast.
What’s this manual transmission you speak of?
Adrian Sarah spoke of a shop that put a manual transmission in.
Adrian they’re on CZcams, concept z performance. They used a 370Z 6 speed, it bolts right in with modifications to associated hardware and software.
Sarah -n- Tuned yeah but they had problemz
but with fitting the hks bov on it zolved the problem 🤗
Manual transmissions are slower and more room for error! Stab and go for me!👍
now that thing sounds great
As always Sarah your review is knowledgeable and great to watch. You know how to keep an audience and it's not what you say it's how you say it. You are awesome and yes I've heard those transmissions aren't the best. I would love be to see you put on those glasses in one video please.
Looking forward to the next. Be safe!
Great review. Seems like this could be a great option, especially in the 2nd hand market.
Absolutely, best bang for your buck on the used car market! New, not soo much. I’d rather purchase an AMG C43 coupe for that kind of money or a BMW. I previously owned a 2016 RWD Q50 & just upgraded to a 2018 AWD Q60 RS fully loaded w/ out the D.A.S. steering & it’s been a dream to drive! Few minor flaws, but I actually don’t mind the center stack & CD player LOL!
Most car manufacturers put a little software "in the way" from a dig to protect the transmission and driveline. Although you going past the camera @ 90mph clearly didn't stop you from enjoying it.
GM is nicknamed soft shift.
The seat traveling backward and Sarah panicking did make me laugh my a$$ off.
Unrelated note - Sarah, has a seat belt ever given you a bruise from your braking tests?
No, but every time I go to K1 Speed go karting I leave with severe bruises on my back and sides. Still haven’t figured that one out, because it’s not from impacting anything.

Iridium Blue makes this car pop like nothing else on the street.
I got white q60 red sport 2020 all wheel drive. Oh yes! This car is fast and turbo sound so cool over 2500 rpm 😊
400hp & 1.8 tonnes has the same power-to-weight as a civic with an ecu change...
I have a white rwd red sport it’s an amazing car !!!!
I love your humor and obvious mechanical knowledge. Regarding the transmission, Infiniti's 7-speed auto transmission has seemed to be a bit "dumb" for many years, including in the 2013 Infiniti G37s I have. One request: Consistency with your rating system, please. For example, beans ?1-3?, cookies 1-5, penguins 1-5? Or are they all 1-5, which *would* be consistent?
Surprisingly refreshing review style! You won a new subscriber 🌠
AWD all day if you want traction with all that power and if you get tuned you’ll need the AWD
Quan Nguyen that’s why everyone loves gtr.
Exhaust manifolds integrated into the heads? Does that mean if you crack an exhaust manifold you need to replace that entire head?
There is no exhaust manifold. The exhaust ports merge into one outlet within the head then exits into 1 pipe. So there is no manifold to crack. There are a lot of engines going this way.
@@chrisvance1875 I didn't know that. Thank you.

hahahahaha What a funny sound that is ?? :D I thought it was the tailgate lifters creaking when opened :P Greetings from Poland ;)
They do sell this car without the sunroof. The q50 and q60a are the super base model, but they only have 300hp. But as soon as it's tuned it's faster than a stock red sport
2:38 I think we all appreciate the bolster test. Dash does look stangerish.

What speed to start the braking test at? I always love "ugh" gut wrenching stops. LOL
probably around 50-60.
Can you do a review on the upcoming Stinger GT refresh whenever it comes out?
They are nice cars. A few months ago, while prepping one for resale, I imagined some staggered concave wheels and cold air intake.
