I don't understand why this doesn't get the credit it deserves in the sport sedan market... it's a fun, quick, and sharp handling package.
Man, you’re the only reviewer who actually respects this car and rates it as it is. Other reviewers are constantly referring to how old the car is instead of giving an authentic impression of the driving dynamics. Your enthusiasm is oozing through this video and I love it. I also personally dig this car and I think the design especially the exterior is timeless. I think the Q50/Skyline is good for another 10yrs ahead. Awesome car and awesome review.
I heard Infiniti is coming out with a new electrified Q50/Skyline in 2025. I hope the driving dynamics would match this current Q50/Skyline, but I’m glad Infiniti is still investing in sedans. Truly underrated car.
I also agree Skyline sounds much better than Q50. I hope Infiniti changes that.
Looks wise it looks nothing like the old skylines tho that's probably why they don't call it that
@@ArthaxtaDaVince777Well, come on now. No modern car looks like their predecessor from 40yrs ago. I think people would vibe better with the Skyline name more than the soulless barcode sounding “Q50”. Heck, look at how Acura boosted sales of the ILX simply by renaming it the Integra.
@mrgurulittle7000 What? Most modern cars have basic design characteristics from their predecessors, supra, challenger, mustang, even the fairlady z, but the skyline or q50/60 has pretty much no relation to its predecessor. I don't really have a problem with that tho, in my opinion the q60 is a beauty and doesn't need much changing, but the q50 is ugly.
@@ArthaxtaDaVince777Those are retro inspired cars. You might be thinking of the 90s Skyline coupes. The Skyline was originally a sports sedan which the Q50 is.
@@mrgurulittle7000 idk, I don't have a problem with it if they do, but it would be confusing to compare it to the skyline gtrs.
I enjoy driving my Q50 Sport around. It's quick and nimble especially when I finally bought new tires (Michelin Primacy 3ZP). It runs much quieter, smoother ride but handles great. Thinking of getting a new one but a Red Sport this time around.

The red sport is such a sleeper, if infiniti updates the interior or just refreshes the model it would be a real killer.
You think they at least update the tech by now. Only draw back tbh.

People say its outdated and don't look at the dodge hellcats/scatpacks that have also looked the same exterior and interior wise the past decade
Love my 2021 red sport. The turbos are dialed in. It has everything you said. I get a lot compliments and thumbs up. I would buy it again.

They should put the TT 3.5L from the new QX80. That would be so cool. I doubt it though.
Now that the maxima is gone Infiniti should rush to update this thing and really knock it out the ballpark

It's a very well developed baddass baby GTR! And a bit of a sleeper. Love this car. Very refined. Would love to own one!
I remember the G/Q series front seats… went I pressed my head against the headrest I could feel the two metal headrest stakes pressing into my back

I really wanted one of these. Still do but I don’t like the infotainment or the cluster.. it’s just so old.
Infiniti doesn’t get the credit it deserves because people are impressed by the name Mercedes/bmw/audi.But I drive an Infiniti every day as a daily driver I never feel lesser than and I get compliments from my neighbors every day.Not to mention never have any problem with doing what I want in the road I cruise all day until someone wants to test me and usually when I get on the pedal I win.
People aren't just impressed with their names.... Mercedes, BMW, Audi and even Lexus & Acura are miles ahead of Infiniti. This car is severely outdated when compared to them in terms of exterior, interior, & tech which is unacceptable at this price point brand new. I mean the infotainment system UI alone looks like it came from 2008...
@@DarkForce852 to be honest the point of a car used to be able to drive.People are so feeble minded that they think they need new tech every year when in actuality you don’t.As long as I have a good drive train can get up and go when I want to ,I don’t need all that other crap you mentioned.I don’t need to be at the repair shop every other month thanks.And like I said ,I never feel inferior when a newer Benz or etc pulls up.I can afford my car insurance every month and I only go to shop for oil change regularly maintenVyand tires.
@@Oddfellow215Gaming all of that would be true if the starting MSRP wasn’t around $57000 for a 2024 model. Unless you’re buying a preowned or leasing one, that money can be spent elsewhere for much better. I don’t hate infinitis but their decisions over the past few years can really make you scratch your head

I have a 2016. This doesn't seem any different. Tech still boring. Will wait till redesign hopefully soon.
Infiniti got the right engine, but wrong design and dated. The nissan brand is slugging due to money issues but I think they if can pulled a update on this and keep the price at the same, it would be a game changer, better update body design, redo the interior to match those in the market now, panoramic roof and make it a luxury sport sedan.

A Altima and Sentra has a better interior and nav system. A maxima comes with a panoramic sunroof and cool seats, let that sink in 🤔🤔🤔yeah this needs a redesign like 5 years ago.
Too bad there's no NISMO version of the Altima & Sentra tho. 😏
But the maxima has front wheel drive, a cvt and a naturally aspirated V6 as the only engine option. Infiniti needs to combine the design and features of the maxima with the drivetrain and trans of the red sport.
Lol an altima and sentra? Are you referring to the fake 4dr sports car? The one with a CVT transmission? Yeah ok...this Q50 red sport is 10x overall better sedan, rwd biased, more fun to driver and a a whole lot faster, with a true automatic transmission, not a CVT found in an Altima or Sentra. Boy said panoramic sunroof and ventilated seats haha...is that all ?

@@TheLaw_11 a red sport ain’t nothing special compared to the competition. Same interior from 2015 you act like that’s a Benz, BMW, Audi or Genesis. Those are real luxury cars with status, imagine driving a Infiniti thinking you’re someone 😂😂😂 better of getting a Acura.
I had one and I sold it, Infiniti is a total disappointment, they've been releasing the SAME CAR for the last 6 years! I am done with them. The car is NOT worth what they are asking for it, its totally outdated inside and missing tons of features, this car doesnt worth more than 40K brand new.
