These days I'm reading a lot of posts about how getting a job after GMC registration becomes very difficult for a new graduate without no much of experience, this makes me so anxious and affraid especially in my case I obtained my diploma in Dec 2021 and since then I can't find a job in my home country after applying in many hospitals. Hi Dr. Ibreez. Thank you so much for the amazing video as always. I graduated from medical school this year. As per our college we just need to do 1 year of internship. In order to qualify for GMC registration, do I need to do an extra year of internship ? Thanks once again.

Hi if I have cleared plab 1 and plab 2 but I still havent completed my internship like say 8 months are remaining, should I apply for provisional registration or should I wait for my internship to complete and directly apply for full gmc registration as Plab 2 is valid for 2 years.

Dear Dr Ibreez, I have a question. When I get a job in the NHS with the tier 2 visa and i take my spouse with me who's also a mbbs doctor so can he practice in the uk as a doctor or will he have to go through the same procedures that i had to do to get the job?

I still have a question though. After passing all the required exams (IELTS, PLAB 1, PLAB 2), can we apply for FY2 straight away, or is working experience outside of UK also necessary? And if it is, how long do we have to work outside of UK before being able to start FY2 AFTER having passed all the mentioned exams? Some say 12 months, some say 24 months.
If there is anyone who can provide answer to this I would be truly grateful.
You don't need prior experience as long as you have full registration.

1) You get a job and then you're sponsored for a visa.
2) You can find yourself another non training job.

We first need to do an FY2 job after getting GMC registration, itâs a second year foundation programme like an internship and after completing FY2 you need to write a CV and apply for jobs

Not any more difficult than it would be if the situation were opposite.

No, just ensure you get GMC registration.

After 5 years you apply for indefinite leave to remain, and then citizenship a year after that.

Non training- you apply yourself to the hospitals you want to work in. Training- you rank the hospitals based on your preferences and you will be allocated as per your score.

GMC registration does not guarantee a job. Getting a job in the NHS is a process in itself for which you need a good application and good interview skills.
