Please do you have a video about clinical assessment for UKFP applicants?
SIR,when you said”they took everything away”--I just couldnt say anything else other than Alhamdulillah !!it literally made me cry😭Im a 5th year med student from MMC who is willing to start the journey from UKFP ..🥺
Good luck!
Thank you! I'm a brazilian medical student, and I needed to know about the situation regarding the Non-UK and Non-EEA applicants.
Please see: czcams.com/video/z4UghNcKl4U/video.html
Sir please do a video for Standalone FY2
Hello,
I wanted to express my gratitude for sharing this video! I have a question, if it's alright with you:
I'm an international medical student, and my university offers an internship that lasts for 8 months instead of the usual 12. I was wondering if I would still qualify for the UK Foundation Programme (UKFPO)?
Pls what about Clinical assessment test for those whose graduation year will be more than 2 years from the start of FY1?
Thank you so much❤
You're welcome 😊
Thank you 😊
You're welcome 😊
If someone applies for eligibility in this cycle for FY 1 in the UKFPO 24, with PLAB dates in time for this cycle, ends up being eligible but is doing housejob (internship) in their country so as to not leave a gap in their CV and given how luck based this process is, will they be able to apply again as an FY2 standalone? would would you recmmend? Please help. Feeling very confused
Thank you so much for this video! I have a question, if you don't mind:
I am an internation medical student and my university doesn't offer an internship aproved by the GMC (it lasts 10 months instead of 12) so I need to finish my intership here anyways (because I believe that in order to gratuate I need to do the intership here) and then follow this pathway, am I correct?
Where can I find these updates on their website?
Wow great news
Indeed!
I will graduate from china , what is the new UKFP eligibility? Do we have to take IELTS , if yes what is the minimum score required?
That's really a positive change. I do think the Clinical Assessment makes absolutely no sense since the candidate is still going to take PLAB 2. I don't even knw hw to prep for it
Our understanding is that it is similar to PLAB 2.
CA is hospital based with real patients and real findings, and definitely more thorough than plab 2. However it is doesn’t cover Oby/gynae
Sir if you took transfer to some other country because of the war do they still see your previous transcripts if you have failed in any subject?
Very informative
Glad you think so!
I am a medical student in the last year of my medical school outside UK and I plan to apply for UKFP after I finish my school the thing is the application process takes roughly a year (from July to August of the next year if I am correct) and there is a requirement that says you're overqualified if you did 1 year internship or more before applying and here is the problem I will finish my school in late October and every graduate in my country is forced to enter 2 years internship program (if I managed to get into UKFP I don't have to finish it) which starts in march so by the beginning of UKFP application process there will be no problem because I will not exceed the 1 year limit but by the end of it I will exceed it so is the limit calculated by the starting of applications (eligibility checking phase) or by the end of the whole process
Could you please do a detailed video on EEA graduates who are only allowed to do a full registration due to the internship completed in these countries?
Thank you in advance
What would you need to know? The process post registration is the same as it is for all other IMGs. Please also see: czcams.com/video/0CM1fyQCfIM/video.html
@@RoadToUK That was almost all about it in the link you mentioned! Thanks a lot for the prompt reply.
Just 1 question : After getting a full registration, is it possible to apply for a non training job at the level of FY2 directly or are their additional requirements? And if yes, how to go about applying for the vacancies
So Do we still need pass Plab 1 before joining FY1 or they removed that also?
Please reply
Hello sir!
I'm a Indian Medical student pursuing third year. I want to join Uk as my workplace. But I have no idea... how should i start for preparing it. I will be grateful if you guide me
I went through the site and saw that ielts general is accepted. Please is this okay?
Yes.
Thank you so much, this was really helpful. I was such hopeless given I just have mbbs degree and gap years after that. Gap years post mbbs and pre internship changes the possibility of me getting into fy1 program?
No it won't be an issue as you will have provisional registration anyway.
Thank you.Its very informative. Please tell me whether EEA gratuates with GMC full registration in APS can apply for this.
yes please can somebody reply/comment on this question!! I will be in this position soon and i am curious!
Please see: czcams.com/video/OuEC_SaOWWA/video.html
Thank you so much!
Brother ur videos are very informative, can u please give some info about ICFP APOLLO HOSPITAL and EDGE HILL UNIVERSITY - WHICH IS one year in india and 2 years in UK , YEARS YEARS BACK THEY WAS A bad review...
We have no experience or idea of these hospitals.
Do we need provisional registration only in order to apply for f1? Even if plab 2 is expired after successfully getting provisional registration?
If you have registration, your exam validity no longer comes into question.
Hi sir
May i confirm Should I give plab 1 for fy1 or only OET/IELTS, deans letter? Thank you!
Please see: czcams.com/video/OuEC_SaOWWA/video.html
Ok, so how's the competition ratio to get into the system? If I apply to a Deanery with fewer applicants to spots, am I sure to land an FY1 Job as an IMG?
Please do reply
With this new system, there is no competition (as such) any more given the random allocation. It remains to be seen how that will fare as this is the first year they are conducting it this way, but your being an IMG has no bearing on the process.
Hi doctor , you always say that we are supposed to have our degree to book plab/ukmla. If i pass my final exams by september but have my degree by december , can i book the plab in October or do i wait untill the graduation? Please answer.
Thanks
You would need to pass first
Please please keep us updated about UKFP every then and there if they change .
Of course :)
@@RoadToUK thank you 😊
I’m thinking of applying next year img
Good luck!
Do we still need OET 400 for foundation program? Also If we get gmc registration can we do locum? Many thanks
Please have you received a response?
What about Fy2 standalone? Please reply. Thank you 🙏
Currently they haven't said anything regarding the standalone program.
Im finishing medical school in July , My results shall be out in Mid September this year can I apply for this or I will have to wait for next year August ? In that case PLAB will be a better option kindly elaborate! Thankyou
You'd have to wait until next July to apply!
Hello sir what is the maximum gap that can be taken between medical 4th year and clearing your both Plabs if i am interested in FY1?
There's no concern about gap.
can you upload guideline map for medical final year student or just give final professional exam!
We've shared a generic one on our social media. If you'd like something more personalized, book a UKFP guidance session here: shop.roadtouk.com/products/guidance-on-getting-into-uk-foundation-programme
So does they remove SJT exam as well doc. ?
Yes.
I do finish medical school officially in June next year since we already have an internship year. Can I apply this July without my final diploma to start right after my intern year?
You need to have your medical degree during the eligibility submission.
@@RoadToUK even with dean's statement?
I have a query , If one gets Their gmc registration and applies for medical Training / non training jobs while In their own homeland they have been in a surgery training program for a few months , Do they still have chance of getting Medical jobs in NHS ?
Yes.
Would IMGs not be expected to sit for PLAB/UKMLA exam for UKFP?
Some would.
Hello sir can provisional medical degree certificate be used to apply for FY1 because in india u only get ur degree after the internship
Mbbs degree after internship???🙁
can we apply for fy2 standalone program as well non-training posts?
Yes. Please also see: czcams.com/video/C_QJqy9VsZ4/video.htmlsi=rwSU8AFPeoLhWZ9W
Do you mean all you need is the English language(Ielts/oet),plabs 1&2 , then apply for eligibility then wait for computer to generate your acceptance into FY1 ?
Clarify please!
Eligibility comes first.
Hi sir if i have not performed very well during my medical school do i still have a chance to land an FY1 in UK?
Yes.
Does this also apply for the F2 standalone programme?
No
So do we as IMG have more chances of getting in fy1 now?
One less exam and one less consideration, so it's a logical assumption to draw.
I thought only uk students were ranked on educational performance? How did they rank international students previously?
No EPM was used for IMGs as well.
Do these changes also apply to F2 stand-alone?
Currently they haven't said anything regarding the standalone program.
Hello Sir,
I want to know what is the score for ielts or oet need for this?
Please see: czcams.com/video/9JcoWNkJCrM/video.htmlsi=YxRqvg8rJ_Yw5RCn
2 question sir,
1)Do I need to complete my intership in same college where I did my medical undergraduation
2)Do I have to pass my own country licencing exam
Vaia what's the requirements of IELTS/OET for UKFP?
Please see: czcams.com/video/OuEC_SaOWWA/video.html
What if I don't have to do FY1 because internship in my country is before graduation and we do 12months of training. What should I do next to do FY2 ?
I have the same question
Please see: czcams.com/video/C_QJqy9VsZ4/video.html
@charmainesayi3269 I am jn some situation I have fine 1y house job with 6ms each gynae znd medicine
Can you make a timeline for 2024 application?
Those dates have been released yet, but we can help you plan your path via our specialized guidance session: shop.roadtouk.com/products/guidance-on-getting-into-uk-foundation-programme
Im in My final year of MBBS. Can I apply now in July or do i have to wait for my final exams and result and then apply next year july?
You need your medical degree as part of the eligibility application.
Can i apply for IMT after MD Medicine in India ?
If you meet the criteria to apply then yes
Do we still have to take Plab exams and IELTS for UKFP?
I also want to ask same question
I am here in uk
I am medical Dr.passed mbbs in 2008
Can I apply for this?
I dont have oet or plab
Yess you have to
Please see: czcams.com/video/s6ypty-gw_s/video.html
So will this be applicable even for FY2 standalone?
No.
Does that mean I don't have to grind for sugarcoating my CV
Basically.
Does this mean we won’t have to do interviews and stuff like previous research, audits or societies have less value
They aren't considered at all.
Hello Doctor
My question is that is it actually possible to land an Fy1 job because i am thinking of simply doing plab part 1 and 2 and not do my 1 year internship/housejob
Yes.
@@RoadToUK what are the chances of me actually landing a Fy1 job directly without housejob in home country?
Would you recommend me to first do housejob in my home country or skip it and do FY1 in UK ?
@@m.noshabzaheer8310I’m going through the same process, any leads on this?
Thank you
Welcome!
@@RoadToUK I believe this new model is somewhat unfair to UK graduates, but let's see how it goes.
Hi assalamualikum iam an img studying i Ukraine iam planning for ukfp in 2024 i will br grafuated at that

Hi,
Is UKMLA needed for EU graduates from 2024?
No you don’t take it. Only an English exam.
Please see: czcams.com/video/VNcgph7uQl0/video.html
Is it possible as a final year student of a european medical school to start FY1 in UK? without having MD yet? Is there any otger path for a student to come for his final year in the UK?
That's terrible 😢 without a metric how are they gonna choose say 10 out of 50 applying in the same area? Obviously there gonna be some filters which will know later on.
There are elements of preference they will consider such as location, etc.
Can u please talk about frc PATHOLOGY
Thank you!
My medical School is on May Accept List of GMC, Do you have any information about that>
Did GMC ask you to send them a complete pmq form ?
My medical school is also in this list
You will need to provide GMC with the information they require and they may or may not accept it.
What about doctors who graduated from north Africa and have been working 8years ago ...
What about them?
alhamdulillah
:)
May allah bless you
🥰
Dear IMGs, Don't fall into the trap thinking that this new system will make it easier for you to get into UKFPO. The thing that isn't mentioned is that you will still require a very high OET/IELTS which, along with the increased difficulty of PLABs now days, is a very difficult thing to achieve.
IMGs have been achieving the required English proficiency for the last 2 years for UKFP. PLAB will no longer exist by the next round of UKFP.
Hi sir how do u think ai will affect the medical field and do u think ai will ever be a risk to the jobs
Pathology & Diagnostic radiology
Not really. May serve more as a supplement.
