My timeline : 2016 Completed Graduation
03/2016-03/2017- 1 year Intern-valid by GMC
03/2017-03/2018- Did 1 year House office job
03/2018-03/2021(3 years gap) Preparing for entrance exam here in my country and Had to look after family business (non medical).
03/2021-At present(about 9months) Working in hospital as House Officer and planning to give PLAB. I guess completing PLAB would take about 1 to 2 years from now.
Will my 3 years gap affect on being register to GMC, finding a job and later getting into training? Hope your answer will help me and others having similar queries. And again thank you for all the informations.

Di, I have a doubt see firstly you complete your MBBS then give ilets and plab1, and as you said plab2 is given after a 1year internship or non-trainee in the UK after that to apply for epic and GMC, right?

I am doing MD program in a Bulgarian Medical Univeristy. After finishing MD, we'll receive a diploma but no separate internship certificate. May I know if I will be able to register with GMC after completing the MD program and doing FY1 and FY2 in the UK or will I have to take PLAB and then register with the GMC?

Hi! , If we send the documents via post, do we still have to travel to the UK for ID check?
One question doc , what if one has completed one year rotatory internship but hasn't worked as a medical officer instead applied for PLAB and cracked it.
What document to send for Employer References considering the person hasn't worked as a MO ( Medical officer).
Does he have to work as a MO for 1/2 year just to get that employer reference and than apply for PLAB or is it possible to do that in UK itself.
And many say that it's not necessary to pass the license of the country where you have done mbbs from like it's not necessary to pass FMGE/MCI for Indians and still can apply for PLAB.

2)Licensing Authority Details
Which one should we choose for gmc registration?

You've spoken about employer references but is this the same as the GEN1 form (which is essentially for those who have worked without a permanent registration). There isn't anything mentioned on GMC website about employer references to be submitted by those who worked with permanent registration already in place.
