You should do a video on If Marvel in real life made us wait the 5 years to endgame. Have Phases 1-3 the same but have it end with infinity war. The next saga phase could take place over the 5 years to fill in the 5 year gaps in between infinity war and endgame to then have phase 4 lead into endgame as the final movie of the infinity saga. Crazy and obscure idea, but I would love to see what you could come up with using the limited characters after the blip. Love the content!

Gunn confirmed a Wonder Woman animated show was in the works awhile ago. You should have worked that into the slate. I also am hoping for a Vandal Savage - The First Meta; series either live action or animated.
Some really cool ideas, but I think its a bit too unrealistic. I know Gunn probably has a million ideas for shows and movies like these, but WB won't greenlight them if the early DCU projects aren't big hits. If the DCU starts off very strong, we could get some of these projects about obscure characters, but if not they'll probably stick to the more popular ones. Personally, I really want a Teen Titans movie, a Green Lantern Corps movie, and Green Arrow movie

As far as Constantine goes in the DCU, what if the upcoming Constantine 2 were a multiversal story where Keanu Reeves's version of the character meets the DCU version of the character who's actually comic accurate? Francis Lawrence's Constantine movies can have all the creative freedom they want and the DCU gains a key Justice League Dark character!
Another idea would be to explore Deathstroke in his own project since Gunn and Safran are reviving it as part of their plans with Joe Manganiello getting another chance to play him.
And hopefully, Steven Spielberg's Blackhawk movie that's been stuck in development for decades happens sooner than later!
Edit: one more idea would be for Supergirl Woman of Tomorrow ending with Kara gaining a Red Lantern ring and that would be why Superman crosses ties with Green Lantern in the first Justice League movie!
John Constantine is my 2nd favorite Fictional character ever, so it’s really important to me that he’s done right. Since we’re getting Constantine 2 before we get a true Constantine I really hope it’s a The Batman/Joker situation. Nothing against Keanu or his version it’s very unique, but I hope they keep him separate. Constantine in the DCU hopefully actually pulls from Hellblazer other than just dangerous habits. Constantine also deserves his own solo project and not just Justice League Dark. I’d love an r rated HBO Max show with Constantine where he’s accurate so british, blonde and a complete piece of shit with a good heart.
It would be cool if the Blackhawks movie was in the dcu and could show a group of normal people stuck out of time and seeing heros in this new world after being saved from the dinosaur island instead of killing them off if they do appear in creature commandos

Agreed, if we’re gonna have Wally as the Flash then I’d prefer we get Barry right on the big screen first even with the CW show already existing, or heck maybe have both of them as separate Flashes, we’re already going to have 3 Green Lanterns so why not Barry and Wally as the Flash separately

Honestly aside from the Justice League movies (and maybe Superman:Truth and Justice), I think the project from this I’d be the most interested to see would be Nightwing since Nightwing is one of my favorite DC characters and I really wanna see him be treated with respect outside of comics for once

Untitled Arkham series
The Batman (2022) filmmaker Matt Reeves revealed in March 2022 that initial work on a spin-off series centered on the Gotham City Police Department (GCPD) had led to work on a new idea based on the Arkham State Hospital. He said the series would build upon Arkham's introduction in the film and explore the origins of different characters related to it. He envisioned a horror tone, with Arkham being depicted as a haunted house. In October, Antonio Campos was hired to write and direct the series in addition to serving as showrunner and an executive producer. The series was being developed for the DCU by then, which Gunn revealed in December 2023.

An animated film based on The Jurassic League was revealed to be in development at DC Studios and Warner Bros. Animation in February 2024, with James Gunn and Peter Safran producing and Brian Lynch writing the script.

Imo the Blue Beetle videogame is a perfect idea. James Gunn said the games are gonna be cannon so they can't follow any of the big heroes, since then you would have to play the games in order to understand the whole continuity, which you can't expect normal audiences to do. They have to be side stories, cannon, but not essential for undertake the overarching plot. I just don't think it should happen in Chapter 1.

As a person who follows marvel and star wars, i hipe James Gunn and WB/DC can notice and plan their vision around the fact that most people who watch the movies wont keep up with the MAX shows. More people watch movies then shows. And even more people wont watch the animated stuff. And if they do books and videogames you are looking at a really small fragment ofbthe movie goers...
With that said if they make huge events happen outside movies (like in the animated show) when the next movie comes out 50% to 60% of the movie goers are going to have Absolutley no idea whats going on or why the world is diffrent or who these characters are.
Look at the marvels for example... hardcore fans knew the characters from the D+ shows but a big majority of movie goers saw captain marvel and endgame then this. They didnt know Captain Rambeo or Miss Marvel and had no idea what was going on with there characters.
Starwars is a good example of dooing novels and games trying to tie that into shows and movies... i even know big clone wars fans who never read or know what happend to Assaj in the Dark deciple novel.
My point is ifvtgey go too ambitious they will be dead on arrival. By the 4th or 5th film.
Also like marvel is learning. Pumping out 35 weeks of content a year between shows and movies is really killing the spectacle and hype around gettingbthe next chapter
Also, budget... realistically, that idea for live action "final Frontier" would be the most expensive movie ever on Cast alone

For chapter 2, I wanna see Jason Todd A.K.A Red Hood in a series or show where it showcases his origins in flashbacks while he’s travels and meets Artemis and Bizzaro and forms the Outlaws with Starfire. Maybe in a big chapter 2 crossover saga, Jason believes his teammates are dead and gets his Outlaw look. He would vent and let it all out until another season or movie where the Outlaws come back from another universe and Jason acquired another base with the Outlaws and Bruce asks Jason to help train the next generation while recruiting him and has him alongside Kyle Rayner, Supergirl, Jaime Reyes and his fellow batfamily members as they help form new teams like a new version of the Team Titans and branches of the Justice League
I’m sorry but that’s not a good idea 💀 Jason would not be a titans founder and if they were gonna have a new justice league have it be Nightwing’s titans since some of them are actual protégés of the league and the successors. I’d also keep starfire away from the outlaws and keep her with Dick and the Titans instead and just have it be Bizarro and Artemis

I personally would replace the centre with brainiac. Brainiac is a more interesting villain and is a big name villain who would automatically bring in casual audiences. Plus Brainiac can be written to have the same abilities as the centre. Just my opinion.

I really don't think making the overarching villain a smoke monster is a good idea. Have we learned nothing from Green Lantern and Fantastic Four movies? Look at Thanos' popularity. I think the heroes of this universe need a sentient being with charisma and interesting ideologies to face off against, rather than "it's a smoke cloud that wants to devour everything"

Wally West shouldn’t be The Flash in this universe. He should just get a new superhero codename. Barry Allen should remain The Flash of this universe. Fans of Barry Allen and a majority of DC Fans in general are going to be really pissed off 😡 , if Barry Allen was replaced with Wally West as The Flash in this universe and that will alienate them from being invested in this universe to an extent, so they should just have Wally West get a new superhero name and not replace him with Barry Allen as The Flash.
I'm afraid this is too much content. Too many TV shows about unknown characters at the beginning could derail this. Let's treat this like an event with Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, and Green Arrow films. Hopefully this works🙏🙏🙏
It’s been confirmed that the DCU just has two chapters with a 8-10 year plan, so there being a lot of content in each chapter makes sense considering there’s only 2.
This isn't even scratching into the surface of unknown characters most of this chapter from the looks of it are being carried by big names.
Also if that is the logic used to build cinematic universe Marvel wouldn't have gone half as far as it did with the MCU even though it's flopping currently. You can't build audience trust without taking some risks.
If anything I feel like if James Gunn did most of what this video is predicting they would be banking on their big characters here to really sell the idea of DC as a brand to people.
Because DC has always dominated with IPs like Batman and Superman but never as a brand. That's part of why DC has been failing for so long they never built brand trust.
And that's why Marvel/the MCU lasted for so long is that they took risks and built brand trust with their characters and the audience.
Nightwing’s show needs to stay. He’s currently up there with the Trinity in comments right now and he’s nowhere near unknown
