- The upcoming James Gunn-lead DCU looks very different from the structure of the previous DC Cinematic Universe, The DCEU and very different from the gold standard of cinematic universes: the MCU and more specifically... the Infinity Saga. But what if it didn't? In this video I'll be looking at a world were the DCU became the gold standard of Cinematic universes as James Gunn's vision is put into the MCU structure giving us 23 movies and 3 "Chapters" which make up the Gods and Monsters saga.

I'm glad Gunn isn't just copying the MCU format. The DCU will have a nice mix of the big characters with lesser known but still great characters. Unlike the MCU, which couldn't use most of their big characters like X-Men, Fantastic Four, and only had partial control of Spider-man and Hulk

This is such a fantastic cinematic universe, it feels interconnected like the infinity saga but also with more unique sides to it and a more consistent tone
I think this is your best universe restructure yet. I would really love to see what your unfiltered vision for a DC cinematic universe would look like; no restrictions or requirements for counterparts just whatever structure, format, characters and films you would want if you had complete creative control over everything

I’d be so down to see that Final Crisis movie, it sounded like it could’ve been like an even better movie version of Lego Ninjago’s most recent season Crystalized but with DC heroes where the action rarely stops and the heroes are backed into a corner all throughout (I mean it’s Darkseid, he’d definitely be able to do that to the League) until the final fight where they manage to turn things around

Here's some of changes I would make:
Phase 1:
-The flash will be the one off movie of phase 1
-Vandal savage would be the villain of the first jl movie
Phase 2:
- Superman vs the authority would be the third superman movie
- court of owls as villain for the 2nd batman movie
- Green lantern in place of gotg
- Booster gold would be the"antman"movie
Phase 3
- Blue beetle in place of"spiderman"
- Aquaman in place of black panther
- Supergirl in place of "captain marvel"
- The center & BRAINIAC would be the big villain of jl 3 & 4 and the story would revolve around the totality (which is in the possession of the center)
Also Ultra Humanite is a long time enemy of the justice society so his appearance could eventually signal the jsa’s later appearance in the dcu.
They got to make a Deathstroke, Doomsday, and a Lobo stand alone moves.

I made a Universal Monsters Universe a while ago. The phase 1 slot Is like this:

I've some idea for phase 2 & 3. Like a fun movie with Frankenstein and his "wife" that ends the Frenkenstein Trilogy, some new Monsters like Mr. Hyde or The Phantom of Opera are also introducedThe Phase 2 ends with Monsters 2 where the monsters would get revealed to the world. Then Phase 3 would end with Monsters 3 where all the monsters fight a War of the Worlds like alien Invasion with the death of some characters like Dracula, Frankenstein or the Reinfield's ancestor

DC would do well to distance themselves as far away from Disney as possible.
It's fairly obvious that formula only works when most the movies are good.
Also it's fairly obvious that folks are sick of Marvel and aren't willing to pay to watch the movies like they used to.
If they are willing to make darker tone movies for their main universe that would help greatly. Disney wants them to play it safe with characters who it doesn’t work with like blade

How about having an arc with Batman facing the TMNT. I know it s unlikely to happen in gunns universe but sense I’m a fan of the first comic book , the animated film , and the 2012 tmnt series . I can’t help but just imagine seeing the teenage mutant ninja turtles interacting with Batman and possible of Dc characters and enjoying it.
I really hope for the Booster Gold, Booster Gold is a criminally underrated character. He has a unique story and personality, I would love to see it done in the mainstream

I don’t know if Aquaman will be in the DCU and I think it is a wasted potential not to have a Flash movie, so I would make the counterpart a Flash Movie. It would be wasteful not to focus on The Flash in this universe
I think Aquaman and Flash will be in Chapter 2. And I think Wonder Woman will appear in the Paradise Fall (i forgot the name) which is a story about Amazons.
