I've completed 27 blocks. I love how you give hints for simplifying the construction. I wish now I had started making the blocks in red, white and blue, though. I'm using different fabrics and struggle not to make all the blocks purple -- which wouldn't be too bad if I had started that way! Thanks for always making great videos.

I made 3 of the blocks so far - my home state - Idaho - indeed, beautiful Idaho; and then Arkansas and New Jersey. The fabric line I started using was Breezeway and I'm hoping to find some more of it to continue making more blocks.

This is my state! I am making 2 blocks each month, one for each of my kids. I have 25 seeds of vlocks done and the last 2 sets of blocks cut, ready to sew.
This series is so amazing! I am loving all the variety and the great tutorials that give clear and precise instructions. I think this block is really neat. This would make such a pretty pillow as well. Can't wait for the next one.
I hope this comes across as constructive criticism but I am having difficulty in determing the correct orientation of the pieces before and after sewing them together to form the block. I invariably have to go back to the beginning of the video to view the completed block, then figure out which piece of the block I'm doing, then find the place on the video where I left off.....all very time-consuming. If we are piecing a flying goose or an hst, for example, can you announce this before AND after sewing it? And also announce which part of the block we are working on, for example, the top middle or left middle, whatever it may be? I'm on number 28 and don't want to give up now. Thanks for sharing this project. I think it's going to be a winner in the end. 🙂
