I am old enough to remember when the police were allowed to shoot at fleeing suspects. The theory at the time was if someone is willing to flee from the police, they are a danger to the citizenry and need to be apprehended. That was when protecting the public was the main concern for law enforcement.
BTW; there were a lot less people fleeing back then.

I am thinking that part of all state drivers license tests should include the tested to read "Get on the ground" and demonstrate their interpretation of this sentence. Not that many of these "Star" actors actually have a drivers license or can read.

For the first clip I saw in another video of him getting chased in the truck! The officers car got stuck on the trailer hitch thing that you use to pull trailers with and the truck flipped while throwing the officer front end of the car into the car almost clipping the car.

One tip if you want to escape. Make sure the car isn't registered on you or anyone you know, and that ot is a really good off-road vehicle. And make sure you're a good off-road driver. Maybe you have 10% chance that way 😂

After from you home a vehicle will be most individuals most costly purchase. You buy a brand new vehicle off the dealership, paying a load of money for it. Then what do you do, you park it on the street, in a car park or on your driveway. Then along comes some thief who thinks ill steal that and make some money or have some fun smashing it up. Why do we allow vehicle manufacturers to get away with making their goods so easy to steal, maybe 40 years ago yes but today there are many ways to make vehicles more secure.
I still think the law enforcement needs to more careful about when they attempt a PIT maneuver. Once you've got their license plate and have seen the face of the driver, you will get them eventually. Is endangering a civilian(s) worth catching the speeder that you will eventually get anyways? The worst example was that white Audi A3. The officer didn't chase the suspect on foot, because he spun the Audi out into another car at a decent speed. I support law enforcement, but there needs to be a better risk versus reward analysis done. A lot of departments have standard operating procedures about when to end a chase for this very reason. No one cares if you caught your speeder if you kill an innocent family while "getting your guy".
Armchair cops are never aware of what real ones are trained to do or what their department protocol is.

Some American cops have a bad attitude. They recklessly do pit monovers and smash into innocent peoples vehicles. That cops who pulled over that black lady who ran out of gas, all he needed to do was stop yelling at her and explain. He only used a couple of bullying words each time which made her make a bad decision. The drive off could have easily been avoided.
