The driver running from the cops are usually just as reckless- if not more so. Rather than risk a lengthy dangerous chase [ like California], or simply letting the criminals go free [ like California], Arkansas has a policy: “End it ASAP.” So they are trained specifically for high speed P.I.T. Manuvers. They do their best to pick the safest times. But they don’t play games. They end the pursuit as quickly as they can - for the safety of ALL.
Before reading the comments here, I said the same thing to those watching the video with me. The ASP seems to specialize in high speed PITs.
The gator complied better than 99% of suspects in police chase vids.

Pretty sure you have that backwards. They should never threaten to shoot people for merely trying to get away, unless in their doing so, they are specifically putting others' lives at risk, not just some vague "but he used to be speeding therefore now that i have him stopped, he's still doing it" (which he isn't at that point).
When police act like rabid idiots, it scares people and they are all the more likely to keep fleeing.

The primary existence of the courts is to generate revenue for the government. Why do you think repeat drunk drivers still get little if any jail time but a huge fine?
@@redbaron474 If that's the case, then ALL drunk driver convictions should only get parole. As they WILL be repeat offenders. Kind of like policing for profit then with civil asset forfeiture. And qualified immunity.

And what's even worse is that many counties will stack the deck, barring witnesses and evidence that could prove innocence in order to ensure a conviction. One of the most notable is documented in a book titled *Fatal sword*

You could tell that last guy (fleeing arrest) was initially waiting for the officer to exit his vehicle before speeding away, a tactic shown dozens of times via police dashcam. Still baffles me when they think that 6 second head start will help them elude a police cruiser that just caught up to him traveling 125mph. Ya know, because it’s quite literally customized for that exact purpose, speed. Unless you are driving to your airplane hanger, you ain’t got much luck out running law enforcement.

Depends on the vehicle they are in. Many aren't too good at cornering which can cause the officer to have to choose between falling behind or risking a wipeout on corners.
Also, I have out ran law enforcement. All you need is enough seconds to make a turn they don't see and get off the road quick. Granted, all they wanted me for was driving by way too fast when they were parked facing the other way and had never caught up to me so technically I wasn't evading them yet.

Drinking gasoline is on another level, though years ago, I had a friend that was drinking battery acid and got caught by the police, they took him to jail and charged him overnight 🤪
Methamphetamine is sometimes made with battery acid. It melts your teeth and gets into your brain. I'd say hopefully your friend doesn't have brain damage already from the dose he took of it, but sounds like he already did if he drank it in the first place. Eesh.

I'm always surprised how many people just choose to put a lot of other people in danger while fleeing from the Bad Things they personally did themselves. I've always tried to live a relatively honest life. Not saying I'm a great person, but I don't put other people's lives at risk, especially over my own errors. I dunno, guess I don't have what it takes to be a petty thief or whatever.

I just want to say... depending on the situation, speed factor can be dismissed from a PIT maneuver. For instance, I saw one where the person fleeing police was intentionally driving into oncoming traffic. The superior officer in charge gave the order to take the driver out as soon as possible. The lead officer only waited until there were no passersby or innocent drivers in the immediate area before engaging the PIT maneuver at high speed. The move caused both vehicles to lose control and was fatal for the criminal, but no innocent lives were lost.
Alligator was like “ hey bro I was just strolling through the neighbourhood for a walk, what’s the big deal”🤣.

As far as the officer on the hood of the car... that should be a teaching lesson on why you pull the freaking trigger when someone is fleeing police. Clearly this criminal has zero respect for human life. This coming from the niece of an Army vet and retired police sergeant, and granddaughter of an Army vet of the Korean conflict as well as retired corrections officer who is thankful her family came home safe after every shift.

Even if you get away during a police chase, they're just going to catch you later. There's no point in doing it unless you just want more charges against you. It's not like these criminals are thinking critically, though. That's why they're criminals.

The problem is with the stupid courts. After these officers risk their lives and these pos criminals almost take multiple lives even as a 5th time offender they just get out on probation or only serve a few years. And get out just to commit more crimes.
