I love your enthusiasm and hype in your recent videos since Nintendo’s official Switch 2 confirmation. These next 12 months as a Nintendo fan are going to be so hype!
Muji (無印良品, Mujirushi Ryōhin) is a Japanese retailer which sells a wide variety of household and consumer goods. Muji's design philosophy is minimalist, and it places an emphasis on recycling, reducing production and packaging waste, and a no-logo or "no-brand" policy. The name Muji is derived from the first part of Mujirushi Ryōhin, translated as No-Brand Quality Goods on Muji's European website. SO does it mean "minimalism"?
I shop there sometimes here in Canada.
Love this comment! How interesting!
i hope not, i feel like the minimalist approach with the switch is what deprived it of life compared to the wii
@@dankbabayyyy I interpret it as no gimmicks. And doing what switch did which was redraw from a lot of Nintendo’s previous ideas and philosophies. Wii was lightning in a bottle and came out at a very different time. I can totally see where you’re coming from but I think I like clean and well presented over quirky and gimmicky. I love that quirk to come through in the games Nintendo produces.
Wow, been following 'Switch 2' news since it started and now to find out the codename is 'Muji' which is my nickname 😂
My nick name is dirt so I won't ever get the same feeling you have rn
I wouldn't mind seeing a full "What We Know So Far..." video with a breakdown of the leaks and rumors. It's been a while since talk of the Matrix preview, and a lot of info has come out, with much of it being debunked since then.
Yeah? To bad we r stuck getting these nonsense videos over and over talking about pretty much nothing.
@@packers12to80 Yeah, stupid Nintendo Prime with his lies! I hate how all of his recent videos have either mostly reliable leaks or actual confirmed information from Nintendo. Just pure lies!
@@AvatarNeoOh, hey, Ness!
I love how every content creator and news outlet made a coverage about the magnetic joy-cons when those news first came out and they all said how the new joy-cons magnetically *attach* to the system, yet they all completely forgot that just a few weeks prior the name "Switch Attach" appeared on a CZcams poll and it didn't occur to anybody to make that obvious connection 😂😂. Nevermind the code name, we already know the final name lmao.
Hey! So I didn't ignore the line you can draw to connect the dots, I didn't think it was that relevant since most things in CZcams polls like that are fake because the polls are actually created automatically by an AI system. That being said, naturally we're aware that Switch OLED's name "leaked" via a similar poll, though it may have just been a lucky guess based on current reports and rumors by an AI.
Either way, the connection does exist. It just to me, wasn't relevant for a report. Switch Attach is an unverifiable rumor, where as the shipping documentation that confirms the elctro-magnets, is a fact based leak. Wasn't trying to make a connection to a rumor in that case.
That being said, if folks want me to make an everything we know video that covers all the known info officially, leaked, and then a section for rumored stuff and then the speculation off all of it that people look at (like the speculated clock speeds), I will make that video and in there, the Switch Attach would be on the list and yes, it would be noted how it conveniently could line up a bit with the "magenet attach" system.
I will note however, that the current Switch Joycons.... also attach to the system. Just with a different mechanism. So is the Switch ALSO the Switch Attach already? See why the name is weird?
But again, we don't know the name of the platform, and a rumor is a rumor.
I have heard a few content creators mention it, at least in passing
If it’s named switch attach it’s gonna sell like the wii u
@@CJBoxyeet well, it won't help 😂
It's not gonna be called that😂
I’m very excited for it but I’m still gonna buy an OLED model this year. I have the OG Switch before they updated the battery. One thing I really want to see Nintendo do is to bring back Mario Paint, a new, fresh, modern version of it. I think that would be awesome and very successful. They have so much they can do with this next console
I like the sound of mario paint coming back I have mario paint and it's still fun
The idea that the switch successor will clock way down in handheld mode got me thinking, an accessory like the nitro deck thats a full dock with a built in screen and cooling system, Docked mode power in handheld form
12:05 this is a great eye opener Nate. I almost feel like it would be hard for Nintendo to forecast sales for a brand new system when they haven’t even officially announced the system to the public. I’m so glad I follow your channel because you put everything together, don’t just run for a headline.
I'd definitely be interested in a recap of what we know. That sounds fun and may help paint a clearer picture
Muji could be a few things in Japanese:
無地 - plain, patternless, solid color
無字 - _the one-character reply ("no") offered by Zhaozhou to the question "Does a dog have Buddha nature?"_
Considering the GCN was called the "Dolphin" and the Wii U was "Project Cafe", I'm sure the codename must mean absolutely nothing whatsoever! XD
Correct, but it doesn't really tell us anything. None of the codenames have really.
Your work is appreciated Nate. Thank you👍🇮🇪☘️
Thanks for the video!
Man you are on fire, great job.
Fun fact: I just got a "Swytch" Bike ad from this video lol
Hahaha
😂
I would enjoy a speculation/guess of what you think the Switch 2 is hardware and software wise now specifically. just for fun :)
XR Headset I believe because they are definitely working in that from the patents
I'm so excited 😊 about new games and switch successor. 😮😮😮😮
They knew physical games are still marketable
Not including the new console in the current FY forecast means nothing. They can always revise the forecast later. There are plenty of reasons why it wouldn't be in there now even if they do think it will come out this FY (e.g., they don't want to reveal the window by including it any quarterly projection, or perhaps they haven't even decided exactly when yet).
I’d love to see that rumor comparison video. I’d watch it.
Wow refreshing old memories from 2014-15
Could you make a video talking about games coming to Switch 2?
Absolutely - that could be probably a separate video from the everything we know about the system video. :)
@@NintyPrime :)
Arms 2!
Amazing vid Nate! I would love that catchup video
This is great coverage, but the only one we should be trusting in terms of leaks is Pyroro.
Going to be a vey sad day when there is no physical game and only digital!
That's the day I stop paying for games.
Will say it again the next system needs more personality. But I am happy that Nintendo still supports physical games.
More so Nintendo fans because of nostalgia.
@@ZackSNetwork I see your team Ubisoft then?
I think the next switch will be announced sometime July August or September then a month later released.
Isn't it all clear? Nintendo said that they will be announcing a nintendo switch within the fiscal year, but not at the June (or was it july) direct. So they will announce it and probably -> If you look at how much time between an announcement and release was taken the last .... 20 years? It will not come out this fiscal year. Probably takes till christmas sales 2025 or longer (if I remember correctly the switch took at least 1 year), wasn't it?
I wonder what they’ll call the new Switch, maybe the Nintendo Switch-Up? (Idk now that I’m writing this it doesn’t sound like a great name)
I saw a suggestion "Nintendo Snap" cause of the magnetic Joy-Con thing, and that's honestly a perfect name
@@AvatarNeoyou’re right, that sounds perfect
Today I learned “codename” for game systems literally means the name they use in the coding
Please keep the voucher system.
Wow...
"Digital" is such a stupid nomenclature for "downloadable".
Any software delivered on physical media is, of course, also digital.
bc nintendo is a supporter of physical releases i will continue to support nintendo
Muji makes quality clothes so does this mean Nintendo Switch 2 is a quality console confirmed?
Mu means empty or none. Ji means designation or name
Nintendo starting to move and groove for the soon to be future 💯
Ughhh i need cpu and gpu specs 😩😩
Switch Magneto or switch magtendo
It's great Nintendo has now a online store where you can buy physical copies.
But digital is easier and greener so I will stay with that, playing at midnight for the release is something i don't want to lose.
I wonder if I should buy the Switch 2 on their store or make a reservation on a shop like usual.
"Greener"
Mochi is delicious!
Muji sounds unique and adorable for the next-gen Nintendo console.
God, I hope the next-gen Nintendo console gets involved with backwards compatibility/cross-gen games, Mii Maker/Plaza, Mii-Verse (even though I've never been into Mii-Verse, I've heard most people say Mii-Verse is awesome, and it'll be awesome if Nintendo decides to bring back the Miiverse for the next-gen Nintendo console), free online service, background music (for both startup/main menu and E-Shop theme), customizable background theme (including the music), increased frame-rates/performance/storage space, stylized graphics/UI, better battery-life, StreetPass, stylus, region free, and last but not least, functional amiibo support.
However, the three things I'm worried about for the next-gen Nintendo console is Denuvo/DRM crap, lack of backwards compatibility, and digital only console.
God, I hope Nintendo doesn't reject physical games in the future, and I hope that the next-gen Nintendo console isn't the last physical system.
Speaking of "Indy", thank God, I'm becoming a indie game developer, and I can't wait to start making awesome, bad-ass/edgy games in the future!
The latest news is plain hype. It's confirmed to be on the way. The year was barren. The news of a direct next month is welcome. It could be one of their best to date. Expecting the ports of Metroid prime 2 and 3, maybe Samus returns. New trailers of Prime 4. The most wanted ports of Wind waker and Twilight princess hd ready to go. The hype train is loading!
This was so obvious when N initially stated all these things. How did IGN get it so convoluted? 😅
*Scratches head* 🤔
Keept milky 🐖
Idk if this is a hot take post 2019 but
I really hope its the switch 2 without any added gimmicks, basically just a better switch, but a lil more charm put into its menus, and power increase
The silence of the switch eshop is deafening i need that charm back
Cartridge slot is not confirmed, Nintendo has precedent how they might choose to sidestep this. NDS has a GBA Micro chip inside the unit to run GBA games, and GB Player for SNES was a 🙂 Game Boy that would connect into the SNES game slot.
This could be repeated, with the FAN in switch 2 dock being necessary because the console is IN that dock. 🙃 Switch that would connect into the SW2S game slot.
Wii being two GameCubes taped together, as the snark goes, also shows reasonable cause. Moderately more powerful switch 2 could simply act as the remote server to streamed games like Kingdom Hearts and Control, which you now can buy and 'increase both physical and digital sales'.
Keep in mind the actual definition of local MEMORY, is physical games in your possession. A local drive IS a physical memory, it is subject to ownership by every legal definition, and that's exactly why Virtual Console is no longer a thing, Nintendo faces legal cojoling for trying to sell ROMs. You do own a COPY of your Famicom Disk Drive data.
Nintendo could easily put out a new line of Switch cards, of different color like Game Boy, that only have a limited portable feature optimized for travel. But at the same time, they would act as physical DRM to download digital content to boost up the experience for Switch 2. This could also be from where a new kind of Download Play is possible with Switch 2 consoles working as P2P servers between nintendo users.
Literally every system you just mentioned has a cartridge slot.
We were talking about Switch 2 supporting physical games. Not backwards compatibility, that's an entirely different feature!
i do like code names
A codename is definitely a neat revelation
This guy has mo shame. What feature bro?
Physical games.
Yall need to relax on the fn next system...all this nonsense is fillin my recommendations and I can't even watch utube 😂.
Ugh man you guys are all getting the meaning of the financial forecast all wrong. Neither you nor IGN is correct. For context it is illegal to manipulate or deceive investors by overinflating or deflating financial forecasts either by withholding or falsifying information. The SEC states that all financial forecasts must be made in good faith. What Nintendo's financial forecast means is that at the time that the financial forecast was released, at that exact moment, Nintendo did not have plans to release the Switch successor in this fiscal year; and there can be no internal communication or memos between Nintendo executives or employees indicating otherwise because that would be illegal. It doesn't mean that they're withholding Switch 2 forecast, and it also doesn't mean that Switch 2 can't come out this year. All it means is that it's not currently in their plans to release Switch 2 this year and the decision has not been finalized. Of course, Nintendo can change this decision and decide to release the Switch 2 this fiscal year, but they would need to change the forecast to include Switch 2 at their next financial report following the announcement. BTW, this also confirms that the rumors about a March release are 1000% made up.
A few things.
1. They weren’t asked specially if the system is part of their revenue forecast. So if it was, and they were asked, they would have had to admit or deny that. They were asked about the hardware forecast that is only listed for switch.
Back in April 2016, with the system announced for match of 2017, the switch was also not included in that fiscal year’s hardware forecast, even though it was announced to release that fiscal year.
They only need to disclose it is coming - which they did - but they do not need to indicate when.
I won’t dive too deep into the march rumors because I have knowledge of stuff related to them I cannot divulge, but I will go as far as to say they are definitely not made up.
Doesn’t mean it’s going to come out then btw, but there has been communication about that time frame. That’s about all I can say as that’s all that’s rumored publicly.
But its effect on the financials for this fiscal year is negligible, just like it was for switch.
Companies do not need to disclose fully unannounced products and their impact on the fiscal year pre-announcement. That’s actually protected, so companies can surprise consumers.
However, it has to be included in the overall numbers for the year (sales revenue), of which it may be, and we just don’t know. The things, projections are just that. They aren’t a huge impact on the business - results are.
@@NintyPrime bro you don't understand at all, it doesn't need to be part of the financial revenue forecast specifically. The entire context of the forecast has to be in good faith, that includes hardware sales. Secondly, as I already stated, it doesn't mean it can't come out this year. Nintendo change their mind and make a decision the decision to release it this year, and the same could have been true for the OG Switch release, but that March rumor is untrustworthy. You do you, but I'm going to believe Nintendo.
Yawn wake me when it releases
🎵Wake me up when September ends🎵
Oh, you said releases, lol.
Thanks Nate for all your hard work and dedication!!!
