Pure focus on games and first party always prevails.
There will be no huge crash IMO. The gaming industry hasn’t grown (the Covid boom is over) which is why studio closures and layoffs are inevitable. It’s just a contraction and market correction. The market is still huge.
Hopefully, Nintendo Switch 2 is backwards compatible, and we can re-download all our saved games we purchased in the Nintendo E shop.
That is my number one hope.

we know from nintendo that the NSO accounts will carry over to the next system (and likely beyond) so it should be compatible with digital, and it would be INCREDIBLY stupid to not allow compatibility with physical games

My biggest take away from all the rumors is if they are true then it is unlikely that the system would be sold at the $400 price point perhaps $450 but i will pay that because they all sound so good and with all the messed up things Xbox and Playstation have been doing lately Nintendo needs this console to be on point and I hope that it is I hope it blows the world away with all it's awesomeness!
If we have backwards compatibility it’s a absolute W. I hope Japanese devs and other 3rd party support switch 2 a lot. Porting ps4 Xbox one and current gen games to it. Having rdr 2, gta, rest of the AC games, etc. on the go
This is probably irrelevant, but the name 'Mugi' reminds of of imugi, a Korean mythological creature that in some stories is what eventually turns into a dragon.
I just really like this idea.. of Mugi being the name for it now, but when it releases, it'll be as epic and immortal as a dragon.

If the screen is that size in the image you shared then it’s *plenty* big enough. Anything bigger than that would barely be portable for handheld gaming. Everything so far sounds great though! Thanks for doing all this work for us dude! 👍

I hope we get some good launch titles man, like a new 3D Mario game atleast and Metroid Prime 4
Almost same dimension and thickness as V1, V2, OLED. A gaming 8 inch no bezel curved edge tablet with nano suction cup Joycons lock on all four side using magnetic alignment & connection. (You can shmup vertically in handheld.) A virtual controller to not be dependent on external controllers for light gaming session. Replaceable battery. Screen rotation & a dock that connect the back of the tablet. A magnetic dock that can rotate the tablet screen. Multiple tablet connection for a bigger portable screen. Joycons strap with removable cord & rail adapter hidden behind a cover for old Joycons. New Joycons have same height but wider. (Just use your old Joycons for the kids.) Better phone apps & dual screen with the phone on top. Time to beat those Mobile market. (Who knows, there might be a thin large 8 inch tablet phone that fit over the Switch 2 screen perfectly to become a clamshell)

If there is a video game crash, Nintendo will be the only one to emerge unscathed from it and from what has been leaked the successor is looking like a pretty beefy system. That’s clearly not going to have any of the issues that the current switch has Nintendo somewhat pandering to the third part which they didn’t need to but it’s good that they are putting them at them will be complaining about, the new system I can only imagine just how gorgeous the next legend of Zelda game or Mario will look on the new system.

I'll say this. If the Nintendo switch 2 is 1. Not backwards compatible, 2. Doesn't Play botw and totk at least 60fps without frame drops, 3. Not twice as better than Nintendo Switch 1, then I don't want it.

1080p is a fail in this day and age it has to be 1440p.
The amount of resources a device needs, to output 1440p defeats the purpose of a "portable console" device. Heat management, and energy storage alone, would make it too bulky, screen size would be an issue in a completely different level. Physically unviable.
If a phone 1-2 generations behind can game at 1440p why can't the switch 2? A lot of games nintendo and devs make can take advantage of a 1440p display. As long ad they keep the poly count low.
I disagree not for a tablet that small now it can upscale on the TV while docked but I think it is a waste of money on handheld IMO but I respect your opinion as well
