One of the main things I want is for the villagers to feel more alive. Like, the dialogue for the villagers in New Horizons is so good, so charming, those writers really knew what they were doing. The problem with it, is that is feels really inconsequential, they are always going to be nice and agreeable no matter what. Like bro, I just spent the last five minutes hitting you in the head with a net, why are you apologizing? you should punch me in the face. I feel like I'm just stuck in this island with a bunch of people pleasers. LET VILLAGERS BE MEAN 2024
I agree cause i wanna be able to argue with the villagers
Yeah that's never gonna happen, this is a kids game mind you but it would be nice to have that as an option to tell what age you are
@@fernanbenjamintallud8961 I mean the original Gamecube game the villagers were pretty brutal they would rip into you if you annoyed them and would do stuff like suggest you put a bag over your head if you got stung by a bee, The villagers in New Horizons are completely different personality wise compared with the earlier entries
I would also like some variation of the animal voices. All the male villagers have the same high pitch voice, then BAM, the Cranky villagers sound so deep. Also, why did all the Cranky villagers go from Mean, to just OLD. Also would like personality to(edit:) NOT be gender-locked.
New Horizon being my introduction to the series so before getting the game I was going back to the previous entries and watching gameplays of them. And the one thing I looked forward to the most was to have the villagers shred my existence to the slight annoyance. Sadly to that didnt happen in new horizons. They should definitely bring more personality and passive aggression in the next game.
This feels a bit too off brand for animal crossing I'm scared
Yeah… vehicles and skyscrapers? Where’s my cottagecore at?
It is certainly fake
@@dazza2350 Yes I know it's more of a concept I was just saying its not Animal Crossingy enough
Anybody here knows that in animal crossing 64 you can get a car?
@@thesubstancetest7851 Yes but that's different you specifically don't drive it around
I just want New Leaf combined with New Horizons.
Would be the ultimate Animal Crossing experience for me.
This.
For real.
literally exactly this but also make the island/world bigger, and allow for more villagers in our island/town
Same!! Bring back NPC buildings besides just shops! Bring back the ability to change shop designs!
But bring back the villager personalities from GameCube…I miss getting bullied.
Am I the only one who feels like New Horizons is still recent?
It is, this coming March 20th it'll only be 4 years old.
compared to new leaf yeah totally agree.
yes
No I agree with you
@@animefeen60new leaf has a way better life span than new horizons
Animal Crossing went through the Industrial Revolution 💀
While this all does sound pretty great for an Animal Crossing game, I hope that they don’t stray too far away from the true origins of Animal Crossing, those being the quant hometown-y feeling of community with your villagers
We need the spirit and soul of ACNL mixed with the customization of ACNH and then maybe add some story elements and better dialogue to the villagers. That would be a huge upgrade from ACNH imo
They already have with New Horizons. Series is currently having an identity crisis. It’s only going to get worse from here.
A new currency system would be so anti-Animal Crossing IMO. Animal Crossing is basically known for Bells and removing it would almost not make it an Animal Crossing game. I know they did Poki in Happy Home Paradise, but that's DLC and converts to and from Bells. Could just be an idea that was scrapped or something though.
Otherwise, seems like it could be cool!
It said that these were suggestions made prior to the game’s production so it’s a distinct possibility that idea was shot down early on
A new currency doesn't have to mean replacing an old one
Nook mile tickets were new, and could be used for trade, like a currency. We still had bells in NH
And in your example as well, that was a new currency, added alongside bells, never replacing them
Just some thoughts though, I couldn't tell ya what goes on inside of Nintendo 🤷♂️
I wouldn't put too much stock in these rumors. Bikes or roller skates sound fine, maybe even a subway, but no way we're getting a car lol
@@dandeleon2764 I concur. Unless they change the artstyle and scale a ton, I feel like a car would be kinda hard to make work. It would also definitely cause people to run over villagers (which would be really fun and funny, and probably also be fine)
It also could just be an addition, like how you can use NMTs as currency along side bells. Or like in New Leaf when you could use those tokens you got from walking around in sleep mode to buy the fortune cookies
All those rumored mechanics would feel meaningless if the villagers continue to feel like collectibles instead of actual characters with their own lives and goals. The core philosophy of Animal Crossing used to be about moving into a new place and not being able to pick your neighbors and just rolling with it. I like Animal Crossing when it was very character focus. I'm not going to care about all the other bells and whistles if my favorite characters are hollow shells of their former shelves.
At what point does it stop feeling like "Animal Crossing"? 🤔
I mean, as long as there's humanoid animals as villagers and you can go fishing and catch bugs, It will be animal crossing to me.
New Horizons didnt feel that much like Animal Crossing to me... to be honest... the first one felt the most unique... and part of the smoothing out lost the feel. Its a special kind of weirdness... villagers able to be mean... this feeling of aliveness and unpredictability. Like for instance things that happen only in the middle of the night. When you design around making everything super accessible.... it gets rid of the affirmations when it comes to the fringe behaviors of exploring the game... and therefore feels more empty. Where a lot of players might not get to see an event that happens at 3am, or knowing that someone is gonna be pissed at you if you smack them with a net... just knowing that there is that kind of responsiveness to the game.. really feels reactive...
If they added all the all things you mentioned and the new stuff this game would be overpowered @@nevercanyoucant
new leaf was the last real animal crossing for me
@@sammyharxx8658 Agreed, New leaf was my first animal crossing game
I’d love more of a return to the older games because it’s so distinctive. I think the “aimlessness” is part of the point and the charm, that’s why they put so much effort into the sound design and dialogue. Part of the message was slowing down and appreciating who and what is around you and I love that that’s still an option to some extent in acnh even though it has a big creative aspect.
But animal crossing games always have their own unique focus and it’s okay if they try something new that appeals to a different audience! I’m sure that if the devs actually get time to make it complete it’ll be amazing, whether they follow my preferences or not. I haven’t played new leaf so I could be misunderstanding but it sounds like they’re revisiting some aspects of that game?
You should play New Leaf, it has so much content 🍃
Excuse me, City Folk released on the Wii, not the GameCube 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
you mean let's go the city, right?
@@WayBackYT_ no? it's called city folk.
I think its called both depending on the version u have
@@noahjaramillo6774 that's the name of the pal version
It's fine, it might be a typo in the script.
What I love about New Horizons is how creative you can get designing your island. Leveling your terrain, making rivers, decorating everything with furniture, and so much more. That's what made animal crossing more fun for me. While the game seems super cool, I hope they can bring all of these things to the next game.
I too also hope for that too.
@@Leeloo_the_fox
That’s true
@@Leeloo_the_fox
Thats exactly my problem with NH.
I still have more fun with NL.
@Leeloo_the_foxThat’s what we mean tho. We want the same capabilities as nh, while bringing back the old concepts that made it fun, with a sprinkle of a little extra new stuff. But don’t take away the nh concept completely and force us into a city 😅
In my opinion, I really home they don’t make it into urban city life. The biggest thing I loved about previous AC games was that it felt natural. I think think modern society and how it’s built with little to no organic matter is depressing and I don’t want to bring that to an AC game😭
Agree
I want more shops but I don’t want a city
i mean there was a city in city folk, but it felt more natural you know
@@laurel6606The city in city folk was really more of a cute little town tho… not a full concrete jungle 😅
The tweet is just dropping the bombshell of all the big differences. I'm sure there will be plenty of bugs and fishes to catch, you just might have to take a train or something.
YESSSSS
I hope it's like NL or WW. The previous games worked really well and NH did a good job, but needed more work (constant dlc after the fact, character interactions are boring (CF was fun), and a few of the shop chatacters got shafted for having their own stores like before).
Tbf, a lot of people don’t know there’s a hidden FP system in animal crossing which makes villager dialogue a ton more diverse and interesting. The higher you’re friends with them, the more likely you are to see something new.
New leaf is top tier
Totally agree with the character interactions in New Horizons! One of the best details of Animal Crossing is speaking to your villagers and New Horizons they say one short sentence and that's it and it's repeated every day!! What happened to playing hide and seek with them and doing those mini quests for your villagers 😭
I'm a bit worried about the focus on multiplayer
I like it to be an optional "sprinkle on top" and would love if they did what they did for Tortimer Island in New Leaf
But to have it a main point to earn bells kinda spooks me a little. I hope we can sell to our animal friends, too!
I'm hoping it means improvements to visiting other players and communication. I don't know a single person who hasn't been incredibly annoyed by having to complete stop what they’re doing for 2-5min while the thing loads
I’m scared this is really off brand for animal crossing like I need my cottage core
Expand your identity
I have to say, NH came out at such a great time. (Edit: wow thanks y’all, that’s a ton of likes ha).
definitely! it kept a lot of people connected during the pandemic
Makes me wonder how much the game would have sold if it didn’t come out in 2020

No.
I went back and played new leaf after new horizons and I want an actual shop development. I don't need full sandbox I just need long term goals to work towards. In new leaf you had to spend money and log on every day to progress your town in the shopping district. You unlocked the salon, kicks and a bigger shop till eventually the shop was a mall with expensive items on the top floor. working to unlock it so I could buy more items every day. It was so fun. I played that game for such a long time, years as opposed to New horizons one year. They should capitalize on Animal Crossings, log in once a day nature.
I believe that was how it always was, that’s why og fans hate the stuff that was taken out, glad to hear you tried nl! It was one of the best ones in the series! Try ww! You’ll see a difference in the personalities of the villagers
@@kittyandleslieable I have played WW and CF as well as the original gamecube version. NL just won out for me though. I felt like it had more goals (Could have just been me) It is the game I recommend to anyone who will listen about Animal Crossing.
I was so sad when there weren't more shop upgrades, especially the lack of Gracie. I loved waiting to see if Gracie would show up in NL then getting super excited about getting one step closer to the final shop upgrade when I passed the fashion check. So many characters just got shoved to the sidelines in NH too where before they felt like they were part of the community.
This sounds pretty good. I just hope that it will be able to keep the animal crossing “charm”. Animal crossing is just like a more relaxed, fun, and chill version of real life. It’s not a game made for crazy missions and quests. Sure games like that are great, but does animal crossing really need it? It’s just like in real life, imagine a nice and simple space of beautiful land filled with nature, but then many years later, that land becomes a bustling city with tons of people and buildings. Both are nice in their own way, but for a game like animal crossing, I personally think the beautiful plot of land is the better choice. If these rumors are true, it could really change the entire animal crossing formula. But hey, maybe that could be a good thing. It’s good to change things around. But If all this stuff is true, I really hope Nintendo doesn’t screw it up. It’s a risky change.
agreed 100%
Part of the reason I think NH stopped updating so early, was that they didn’t expect the popularity. No one saw quarantine coming. Perhaps they didn’t budget for a long update cycle, and the devs were isolated from each other most the time. Nintendo, or at least Animal Crossing’s dev team, is known for avoiding crunch for the sake of their employees’ health. This is shown with Splatoon 3’s tri-monthly updates and even stated in an interview (if I remember correctly). This all added, it was probably difficult to meet deadlines or even CREATE. I have hope that next game will be grand
Yes people really forget this…
They definitely had it in the budget. They were planning for updates for years after release, but just stopped. I’m betting it’s because it was so successful, so they wanted to stop work on nh to work on the new one. The issue with that tho, is that the new people joining the community probably got bored since it was their first game, plus they were lied to about updates.. I don’t see them buying the next version. Nintendo definitely got too excited, and just shot themselves in the foot. Really was a bad first impression on the newcomers
I’d argue they knew the potential success it’d gain. Animal crossing is a huge franchise and there was lots of chatter about it.
I can't wait for it to be on the next gen console so I have to spend another $300 before paying for a $70 game and paying $96 per year so that I can use the sub-par internet
Get a job....
@@packers12to80Not everyone can get a job some people have a tough time because they can’t drive and don’t want to drive because of all those idiot drivers on the road and that impacts your chances of getting a job and most people who play on video games like animal crossing are little kids and they have to beg their parents usually what I do since I’m not a kid but live with my parents is ask them to buy me a new console I really wish I had an easier chance of getting a job but I also have special needs that prevent me from driving like my lack of depth perception which whenever I see a car that isn’t close to me it looks like a car mirror so when I look in a car mirror it looks double closer than the car actually is and I always have a redlex to brace for impact ehich could cause an accident and I don’t want to accidentally kill anyone I live in an area that has rarely any buses no Subway station, no Ubers, and no Taxis or all those are too expensive ok there are buses but rarely and it’s only for people who sign up and have a disability but they don’t and never will come to my area so I’m stuck and have to rely on my parents or find an online job that’s not a scam which is almost impossible.

a city vibe would be good, but I hope there's still some nature, that's not just parks. Maybe we could fly from the airport to the beach
Concepts I’d love to see in the next game:
Apartment Buildings where each fooor has a resident to make space for more. You would have to develop them and get the correct license/materials
A city park that you can decorate, be rated on, or do garden challenges to breed/sell items
A record shop run by dj kk to buy kk songs and past songs from other games. This would be unlocked at a later point like in
acnh
Customizable tanks for insects and fish to match interior rooms
Community votes/competitions/ challenges that require designs to be shown
Buildings that align with paths, ramps, and bridges!!
The timing on this for me is funny cuz i had just talked to my sister about things we would add to new horizons if we were in charge.
one of the things i thought of was a "main land" city of some kind to interact with other players like the Island in new leaf with mini games, and some type of player to player shopping system.
Id love to see a new animal crossing with all those things. so im gonna hold on some hope the rumor is true to some degree
I would add Solar and Lunar eclipses to it too .
My hope was going to be the next one goes into space. I'd pictured the next stage of Animal Crossing to go from starting a new village on an island to starting a new colony on a different planet.
omg that's exactly what I thought!! Animal Crossing: New Planet.
OMG THAT WOULD BE SO COOL
I could see that being a later installment idea for sure
Hearing about the “separate city” reminds me of on the ds how we had street pass and if you passed someone on the street that had their game on it would load their new leaf house onto the street and you could go in and order some things they had. It was the BEST. I used to walk around the mall just to collect houses in street pass.
Given that it's been four years since New Horizons, discussion around a 'next Animal Crossing' is totally legitimate, but this rumor is frustrating because IF it's true, we won't get verification until at earliest 2025. It's very detailed for something still two+ years out.
I think 2026 is too early.
Especially if the next switch console is going to be backwards compatible.
I think 2027/28 would make more sense.
Buddy’s gonna recreate los santos customs in animal crossing 😂
I don't think they would ever completely get rid of the rural, natural side of Animal Crossing. Bug catching and fishing is such a staple in the game that there would still have to be a place to do it. I've honestly always dreamt of an Animal Crossing game where you can have a rural town, but also a city in the distance similar to City Folk. But like on a MUCH larger scale. Maybe your village could be something like 2-4 times the size of NH islands, and then you actually have to drive yourself to the city among back roads and whatnot. Maybe those back roads could even have stands where Redd and Leif sell their goods, or you could get out of your car and find rare forageables around. But basically, think something like a Pokemon map where you still have all the grasslands and small towns, but you have to walk all the way to the big cities to go shopping. That's my dream Animal Crossing lol
When you put it that way… it actually doesn’t sound too bad at all, I’d be excited to play something like this if they released it!
"Hah, why would they already be releasing another one? the wait times for animal crossing games are usually way long-"
It'll have been 6 years.
wtf
City Folks was on the Wii XD Gamecube had the Original Animal Crossing :)

animal crossing: migration centre
@@WayBackYT_
But the thing is is um we’ve never really seen that at all.
I’m really uncertain about “more multiplayer.” For me, Animal Crossing has always been a gentle, slow paced single player game. I dont have many friends who play it, so I don’t want to rely on needing friends to unlock content in a game. It took me forever to get some of the fruit in New Horizons because of this. I think multiplayer being an aspect is great, but I just hope it’s not an absolutely necessary part.
A newer entry just needs more depth to dialogue, more buildings (an actual hair salon), more shop upgrades, the resort island with minigames from new leaf, a city to visit like city folk (to see lable), etc.
New horizons really expands the customization but at the cost of its prior fundamentals. I don’t see an urban direction working.
New monetary system sounds like either A) a currency that can be purchased with real money, or B) a currency used between players at the personal shops.
Makes sense animal crossing devs aways work with what fans do. City builds were a big deal so us working on our own city just makes sense.
I do think that if they keep the terrain building, they could do more with it. Like, I was SO let down when I found out you couldn't put your house behind a waterfall you had to swim through to get to. I wanted to do that! How cool would it be if in the next game we could ad peaks and dips and half levels? Imagine, a little sunken area you need to walk down a set of stairs you dug ot to get to your house? Or a craggy, jaggedy mountain area? Or a hollow canyon? Heck, you could even make a hidden place for your house INSIDE the mountain.
The next animal crossing game will sell well no matter what happens. I don't think it's as much as new horizons. But animal crossing's popularity is at a different level now. Thanks to New Horizons
I think even if there was a city aspect they would still keep nature areas in the game, a separate place from the city. So we'd still have all the normal AC things like fishing bug catching and the museum etc
the multiplayer element, with separate location + games, feels very reminiscent of Tortimer Island in NL. NL also introduced two mini games later on in the game's timeline, accessible via in-game wii-u and 3ds items that you could interact with, thus launching the games inside. A lack of mini games and multiplayer activities in NH is def one of the reason the game felt so empty to me after some time.
I don’t like the sound of this. Any pre Animal Crossing New Horizons player can tell you that this sounds a little dystopian for Animal Crossing. They sucked out the charm with New Horizons, and probably would even more with the new game.
Edit: Also, New Horizons did have a full storyline, which is admittedly what I think changed it too much from other games. Also, New Leaf had a great concept for Minigames with Tortimer Island
I hear you there.
new horizons already overwhelms me
What about it is overwhelming?
AC & Doom about to happen again with AC & GTA.
honestly, one of the things I missed the most was the city (specially Grazie's) and City Living is definetly a personal favourite of mine.
Lowkey my dream Animal Crossing. I loved City Folk and always wanted one with an even bigger city.
If the next game is something like this I hope it give the option to choose which life you want. Like each time you pay Tom Nook you'll move to a new space and eventually earn your own house that you can choose where it goes for the cottagecore peeps
God I hope this isn’t fake
I can already imagine that if we get the September Nintendo Direct as usual, they’ll close it off with a teaser for this new game with among the characters giving out a message, then the screen fades to white, and finally reveals “Animal Crossing - 2026”.
I do. Some of it sounds great but so much of this sounds un animal Crossing like. As someone who has played every game. I dont want some insane switch up. I still want animal Crossing feeling type game. If its a massive city...without bells....it doesnt sound like ac at all.
@@packers12to80me too, having a huge city is not at all like Animal Crossing for me! It'd be cool if they have a good balance between, but switching it up that much would ruin the cosy vibes that Animal Crossing has always had
I’ve been WAITING for an animal crossing game like this, I’m really excited
I feel that everyone hates the fact that when you visit someone’s island the game stops to show you who’s coming and leaving. It’s so annoying to be playing and constantly have to stop for that. Such a waste of time, why can they just do a banner that shows info and lets you to continue to play. This would be the greatest update.
Omg that Nintendo Land song brought back memories, I heard it and I was like “Is that from Nintendo Land?!” And then I saw your channel name, that’s awesome. I used to love Nintendo Land, the Wii U was underrated, but it walked so the switch could run.
If they're going all in and actually letting the player make a full metropolis- I think it would be cool if later they could add onto it by letting the player either explore or develop a Subway or subterranean system.
In addition to being a completley new enviornment and direction for Animal Crossing- I think it could also be a nice excuse to actually visit Resseti and the Reset center.
Also, given that Splatoon and Animal Crossing shares a lot of history from having the same Dev members- it feels like an excellent opportunity to hide an easter egg that references Octo Canyon or any of the other Splatoon underground areas.
Did he say City Folk… ON THE GAMECUBE?! sir. SIR. WII. WIIIIIIIII.
I think it would be cool if they had 2 maps you can move between. The top one being the City District, and the bottom one being the Suburbs (or camping area or something.) You can fully develop both how you like, as well as traverse between them freely. Each map can hold 10 villagers each, totally 20 villagers (FINALLY). The villagers that live in the City District live in apartments or something, while those in the suburbs/campground live normal houses, or cabins. They also can visit between the two maps as they wish.
I think this would really open up the game! Two maps to work on rather than feeling confined to one. Also allows more room for villagers. I'm always stressed trying to choose 10 when I have so many favourites!
I hope the sky scrapers are apartment buildings that get a new unique level added on when a villager moves in and u go in through the front door to an elavator to the specific floor they live on to visit their apartment. and I hope you can have like 40 residents, which would be 8 five story apartments. and maybe a hotel where random peeps not living in your city can visit and stay for a few days so you can interact with npcs who don't necessarily live in your city, then give us more buildings like a mall where NPCs can set up stores and we visit those, give each npc a job they like to do or something so the city feels alive, and make the game be about building up a small urban community instead of a rural one. Thats the key, animal crossing is about community.
Genuinely feels like a larger “island” almost like a city would make sense
I would much prefer the concept of your main city, riding around in your lil bike sounds fun, and then a city to play with friends
Idk about sky scrapers actually being useful because honestly most things in NH I loved were the village houses and stores being great to take up empty space and build around but many large sky scrapers to me sounds meh in comparison
You made a mistake. City Folk was on the Wii, not the GameCube.
You know what I need? 360 degree POV!!! I wanna see my land from different angles!!!! And VR. Thank u
Honestly I hope some of this things said in the rumor are fake…idk it just doesn’t feel like Animal crossing for me…a final version at least in my opinion would be having the best things of the games we had all together into one game, but as he said we shall take this with a grane of salt
Yeah an animal crossing that actually fully takes place in a big city would be incredible!
But i would miss the Forest 🥺
Okay, tinfoil hat theory: every game builds off the last, right? In Pocket Camp, you could get your camper painted. What if it’s got to do with roaming from rural area to rural area?? That way* (edit for spelling.) you don’t have to start a brand new village every time you get the itch to move? And you can come back!
So… ‘City Folk’ the way we all imagined it, way back when. Sounds fun.
I'm not worried. I've been playing these games since I was a wee little baby on gamecube-- Something different is gonna be really exciting for me. I sure hope there's a lot more online multiplayer as it was what kept me hooked when I played new leaf! I loved meeting people from all across the world to play games with and show each other our islands and create a community. STOKED!!
clicked for the splatoon hero mode clip in the intro, stayed for the animal crossing copium
The minigame part reminds me of the little 3ds and wii u thingy in new leaf :D
I hope it’s a DLC SERIES
I sure would love to have a newer AC Life , like if we all actually got something newer in our Mailboxes , so that way we all can be notified of a newer life that’s currently waiting for us all in a newer place to call as home.
And we all can travel abroad and to furthering our lives , so that way we all can be all together in a newer world that really needs us.
Imo, new horizons is the best game because we can place furniture outside, terraform and customise our island, I hope they continue this customisation and give us even more customisation with a new and longer storyline before completeing the game and for villagers to have their own personalities to us whether they’d be mean or noce
In the best way I can say this, this sounds…. well, bad, it doesn’t sound like it would be animal crossing anymore :/
I like a lot of what this leak says, but new money? Vehicles? City? It just sounds to mainstream and like it no longer would have a cozy feel that a lot of the fandom craves. But that’s just what I think
I wish there would be a whole museum section for gemstones
I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s first teased when Splatoon 3 stops getting updates. I presume it’d have a cross-system launch with the current and next Nintendo Switch models if it had a 2026 release. The game NEEDS to continue with the focus on customisability that New Horizons has as that’s one of the things that made new fans fall in love with the game.
i don't think it would be "animal crossing" if the gameplay were to take place in a busy and developed city. it does not really align with the brand, imo :/
being originally called "animal forest" makes me doubt that the series will steer into a game of skyscrapers, urban construction, city hangouts with friends, vehicle customization etc. the series have always been focused starting a new life in an unpopulated town or island, which was a chance for players to escape from regular/urban life. otherwise, a main street like how they implemented in new leaf would be amazing. it grows quite developed as you play, but not extremely to the point where it looks like a completely different game. unlike in city folk, the city feels disconnected to your natural and foresty hometown.
2:37 City Folk was on the Wii.
This is a much NEEDED direction!!! Let's face it - the reason BOTW did so well wasn't just tweaking the formula again, it was creating something almost completely new. Most Switch players are not diehard fans of the company, and also, most ACNH players were new to the series. People ask, "If it's the mostly same game, why would I play it?" If this leak is true, I'm excited that Nintendo will not be lazy with this next game, and will choose to go above and beyond. I'm sure it will do outstandingly. People who love ACNH so much are welcome to keep playing it...
City Folk was released on the Wii
Im a fan of citycore....every island I decorated in New Leaf and New Horizons was citycore related....so Im hoping of an more urban Concept, more Buildings, with various options how they look like (more natural for nature lovers and more futuristic for city lovers) this would be nice :D and that villagers can actually USE the stuff we are decorating ^^
All i want is more individuality for villagers. Horizons kinda dumbed them down to groups and then there just was a group of villagers with the same personality. I want more emotions from them
This sounds a little too good to be true. I doubt that right after the Splatoon 3 DLC ends, they could get this concept done in less than 3 years without using New Horizons assets. Not that I hate that, but I don't think this is true.
Honestly the only things I would want for a new game is, biome options for your island (town), being able to share islands (towns) with friends and have your own houses, and i do like the idea of being able to have your own store, I think I would also like a cohesion of new horizons dlc where you can build and design multiple buildings in your town. Also I miss when we would work towards getting nicer stores not just a bigger house nooks cranny continued to develop and process until you got it to have two stories. I liked new horizons I think the dlc definitely helped it feel like there was more to do but the world it’s self felt a lot smaller compared to new leaf and city folk, I miss having the buildings like the salon and the fortune teller the fancier shopping mall for clothes when you went into the city, reds tent showing up in your town instead of harvs island where everyone is just sitting outside it feels less interactive. I much prefer the feel having your homey town where things are progressing and developing and then a separate town for the “city stuff” if they were to try and modernize it.
I hope we will still get the option for an oldschoool deserted island to build on top of all this that would be awesome!
I hope that in the next Animal Crossing there will also be an amusement park and an aquapark
The whole point of AC is to do whatever you want in the first place. It's a slow paced life sim.
Under 1 hour gang 👇🏻
Yes sirr
Yep!
UNDER ONE HOUR GANG BOIIII
oh that’s me, oh kool
Hello
This infomation is sounding a LOT like animal crossing newleaf, with minigames the town/city aspect, public hubs actually having some meaning. I'm hoping they are going to refer to newleaf for this game seeing it was animal crossings best game in which most of the player base agrees with.
5:33 have ya heard of Nookazon?
Some of those things sound fake to me, but the big shopping centre sounds very plausible to me personally
I think in next game we should be able to have dates with Villagers, for example, marshal invites you to go to the coffe, Then you get a short animated cutscene of marshal and you going to the coffe, and while you are walking you have a conversation with marshal, And until you end that conversation you still walk with them, did i Make myself clear?😭
From this rumor it sounds like they're focusing on customization, which sounds awesome for the instagram girlies, but for OG AC fans it's a tad worrisome. Villagers are just decorations in NH, they have no personality or engaging dialogue. You are the sole resident of your island. If they neglect the villagers again they're gonna need those adventure quests just to keep half the player base invested.
I will only be interested in a new Animal Crossing game if they leaned more in the life sim side instead of the city builder side. The series is moving in a direction I don't care much for
We also need all those NPCs back! We need Harriet's shampoodle over just changing our appearance in a mirror, or kicks with his store (ik he had the truck but give him a store!!) There also needs to be actual consequences for not playing the game, it sounds weird but joining the game in NH your hair is all messy, you just brush it out back to normal, I remember playing city folk and having to deal w the bedhead because shampoodle would be closed! Or like we leave for a while and all the flowers died, or your favorite villager moved out, It just felt more realistic and that we were a part of this town, rather than like a godly being that can change the town per their demands. I want villagers to have opinions, like if you put something in the town that they hate, I want them to complain and say how much they hate it, the villagers literally do not care about what you do with the town they also live in, so it makes them feel so transparent and with no personality. Like if someone was terraforming around my house and putting up ugly furniture outside I would not be inclined to appreciate it
I also think this seperate city would be such a cool concept, if it was like city folk. You take the bus, or the car or train to the city and that whole city is the mutliplayer area with the stores and everything, but I would not want our town to be a city, that feels so wrong for animal crossing.
Series could mean a new series of amiibo cards. That makes the most sense to me but it would be cool if there was an animal crossing movie
2:41 "city folk kn the gamecube" just killed me its on the wii.
Boy I sure do love amiibo festival ❤
City building is not really what I play Animal Crossing for. I love customizing, of course, but I mostly prefer the life sim elements where I get to know the weird little guys who have moved in or are visiting my cozy hometown. Also, I want them to bring back the weird and quirky elements. NH felt almost too cute and nice compared to earlier games.
I don't play ACNH, but I'm a huge fan of the concept, so I'm excited for this new game!
They should make aliens as villagers trying to disguise themselves as a normal neighbor. lol
I just need the villagers to roast me again 😂
I wish there was a game that mixes animal crossing, stardew valley and sun haven all together. It would be a dream come true 🥺
