- Nintendo has a lot of things cooking for Nintendo Switch 2 and the latest rumor/leak has given us a huge Zelda game on the way. In addition, another rumor is suggesting a possible spinoff title starring Zelda!

I would practically throw my money at Nintendo if they remade Ocarina of Time for either Switch or Switch 2. My wallet is ready
There really is something special about ocarina of time. Id love a remake like final fantasy 7 remake. Just a huge game set in the same world with the same characters.

The problem with a Final Fantasy 7 style remake is that it would likely look like them “modernizing” OoT to be more like BotW/TotK. No thank you to open world OoT with climbing, breakable weapons, cooking, koroks/shrines, etc.

I’d have to agree with you but I think this stems from my desire to see a fully built Hyrule that we never got in BotW and TotK.

I could either see a new Hyrule Warriors game with Zelda as the main focus, or my personal pipe dream is a standalone spinoff of TOTK where you play as Zelda in ancient Hyrule. The reason I think this is because there is already large swaths of Hyrule that they altered for Zelda's cutscenes, to appear as they would in the ancient past(example: the dualing peaks are seen as a single mountain) so it's clear that a large amount of work was put into it, and I can't imagine they'd do all that just for a few cutscenes. I feel like it's gotta be something playable! They said there was no DLC planned for TOTK, but they never said they weren't planning a spinoff, a la Spider-Man Miles Morales or Torna the Golden Country! It's just a thought, but I'd lose my mind if it was real!

I mean this rumor seems kinda iffy, Why would they go back to Botw when Totk has already surpassed 20m units and could easily sell more with a next gen update? Unless their going for a definitive edition that combines both games, this seems more like running with a rumor after remembering the switch 2 botw tech demo

@@NintyPrimeSeeing as everything is gonna be backwards compatible an update I could see but a full remake with nothing new added? When the og version is still playable on the same system? Not knocking it but just seems like a weird thing to do imo especially when like you said eventually they'll do it for Totk, seems insanely unnecessary.
@@infinitezion2029If Nintendo does re-release BotW on the Switch's successor, I'm personally hoping for some minor quality of life upgrades from TotK (like the recipe cards, updated inventory, character profiles, and the ability to drop weapons in chest menus). It would be totally cool if they also made minor changes to maintain better lore consistency between the two games, such as having Calamity Ganon's jewel look like a secret stone (to emphasize his role as a phantom of Ganondorf) and alterations of the final post-credits cutscene to help explain the disappearance of the Sheikah technology. However, I'd expect that my hopes here are a little high, and we'd probably only get a few quality of life improvements.

i feel it would make more sense to boundle BOTW together with TOTK with extra features added, rather than just porting the first of the two games over, but the second and latest.
but a spinoff LOZ game where you play as Zelda sounds interesting and maybe it could be a spinoff build off of TOTK, but as a prequel, like Wolfenstein the old blood was for Wolfenstain the New Order, for instance.

I mean it make sense cause the ending of hyrule warrior age of calamity DLC Zelda and tarako head of on their own adventure and it could hint that the next Hyrule warrior game could happen also it lines up for her to be playable character or a game that’s the main character
Honestly unless it's the one talked about in ALttP, then I'm not gonna be all that thrilled.
That Imprisoning War has been long overdue to be covered and there are interesting elements that could be in the game if they used all the lore they established in their manuals and books.
I’d adore a Zelda-Centric game, she’s a proven badass in several incarnations, and it’d be a nice change of pace.
I'd rather not go back to BOTW tbh. Even though it's a newer game I'd rather an enhanced port of TOTK as it's the better game. Just kinda weird
If Princess Peach can get her own game, there’s no reason why Princess Zelda can’t.

When I saw U-King-O I immediately knew it. A BoTW remaster!
Sounds cool but launching Switch 2 w/ BOTW again whether in 4K or not would be a pass for me and not make me buy into the system @ launch. I already played, put 300 hrs into, and beat that game. I'd rather have the Switch 2 launch with a brand new game like an open world 3D Mario that is massive in scale like what BOTW did for Zelda.

Id love zelda as an mc. My biggest issue with link is that they keep making him silent. Ive grown tired of the comical "yaah" "aah" and grunts when characters speak with him.

It would take something pretty significant for me to buy Breath of the Wind for a 2nd time. More than just more frames and better graphics, and definitely more than just the DLCs bundled in.

A botw remake already sounds way too early, and not ideal for a new console. Both Botw and Totk looks gorgeous on Switch, thanks to their timeless art styles.

i really hope its an free update or even a paid update, i love the game but man $60 dollars for BOTW... that im not sure it will fly, its a great game but no. if anything i would want TOTK as enhanced version, its a better game in my opinion, Specially with the rumors that it will be backwards compatible most of the switch owners have both zelda games, a paid update would make a lot more sense. I hope Nintendo does something good for the consumer and sell it as an update at a lower price $20 would be good.

There is nothing more boring to me than BOTW at 60fps. We've played this game for 7 years.
I expect the game to look like that automatically on Switch 2, but that's not a new game, and it shouldn't get its own price tag, etc.

They won't announce a successor to Tears of the Kingdom until after the launch of the new console which is sometime next year. They are releasing its masterworks in August this year and likely will release here in North America by holiday season. Companies don't like to compete with themselves. They are still promoting Tears and want to squeeze more sales out of that first. It will be some time after their book releases of it that they will announce the next title. Folks need to chill. And as far as Zelda being playable, i don't think they ever will because from what I have read, the Japanese are opposed to that. They make these games for their Japanese audience first. Also, they tried it back in the 90's as the main focus and it didn't work.
Would I want a playable Zelda? Perhaps, if they can pull her off. I don't see Totk Zelda as much of a fighter, especially not in BotW(Literally a damsel in distress in that game)more of a spellcaster as seen in the sage battle. And apparently, she isn't any good because she had five other sages helping her and they all had stones and yet they still had their asses handed to them. Compare that to Link who has no stone and still curb stomped a powered up Ganondorf. There is no comparison. They would need to make a new rendition of Zelda for this to make sense. Sort of like how Tetra was in WW. That I can see. Maybe not as a main protagonist that we control all the time, but have a much more interactive role and be an assist character to Link.

Im playing Twilight Princess on my Wii I love this game it's on my Top 3 Zelda Games.
My Top 3 Zelda Games are 3 Ocarina of Time, 2 Twilight Princess and 1 Skyward Sword.
Don't get me wrong I love Wind Waker and Breath of the Wild but there not on my Top 3.
