''A pass in an objective medical test obtained within the three years prior to the application for registration (such as a pass in the PLAB test or passing the membership examinations for a UK Medical Royal College).'' Been awarded one or more relevant medical post graduate qualifications obtained within the three years prior to the application for registration. Meaning, a PLAB pass (or the other 2 points) outweighs the former :) Just trying to ease the minds of those with long clinical gaps.

Most indians have their initials expanded in their passports so while giving the name should it be the name as its mentioned in the degree certificate ( with initials as it is) or as in the passport They ask you if the name is same as pmq
Sorry I didn't quite understand the question. If they are asking you for your name exactly as it is on your degree then you should state that. If they are saying to state your name exactly as it is on you passport then do that. They will reach out to you if they have any questions or need further explanations.

You can give your plabs without full pmc registration. However I am unsure about full gmc registration. Because they ask for a certificate of good standing. And as I recall from my time having a full pmc registration was a pre-requisite to apply for a certificate of good standing with the PMC.

You'll have to give a better reason than preparing for plab. The exam doesn't take that long to prepare for and will call to question your ability to study and work at the same time. If there were personal reasons behind the absence from work then openly share them. You just have to be honest.

Hi Pooja. That's an interesting question. I think the GMC would be the best people to answer that question. They are helpful if you just email them with your query. Generally speaking people already have a full license in their home country before registering for the GMC. I am not sure if being registered in your home country is a mandatory requirement. Best to ask the GMC themselves. Do post here if you find out.

Have your IELTs/OET result ready. Have evidence of what you have been doing to keep medically active ready. Like CPD courses, electives, medical jobs, research, or education ready. And start your gmc registration process. As you proceed the gmc will tell you themselves what other proofs they need from you.

Well that depends on how you will be registering with the gmc. If you are using the mrcog to register then yes you should get it verified. Otherwise if you are using your plab results then no need to get the mrcog diploma verified.

I can't say for certain. But I believe it would be not employed as "studying" is not being done through an accredited university. For the most accurate answer you should call gmc. They would be able to help.

Hi user. I can't speak on their behalf because they could ask for anything at their own discretion on a case by case basis. However they only asked me about house job certificates and certificate of good standing with the PMC. No other professional experience documents from the clinical job i was working. They say if you have done non clinical work then to have those employers fill in a gen1 form. Hope that was helpful. Please let me know if you have any more questions.

No no. It's different from your final year transcript as well as your cumulative transcript. If you're from dow then go to the student's branch admin and ask them that you want a "final transcript" made. They will sort you out. This thing is like massive summary of all 5 years including details of marks achieved in your ward tests and everything.

@@MrEmadsaeed that should be enough. It worked for me when I used it for registering with the GMC. Some people use their provisional certificate. That also works.

As far as I am aware you will need a certificate of good standing with PMC for GMC registration.

So, the gmc did not ask me to provide a document verifying my clinical work experience. They will let you know what exact documents they need for your specific circumstances. If you have engaged in non clinical work during the 5 years, then you will need a gen1 form signed by your employer. But don't worry about it. Wait for the GMC to send you an email with the documents they require.

Do they ask for document of professional experience whatever we have mentioned in form?
Hi user. I can't speak on their behalf because they could ask for anything at their own discretion on a case by case basis. However they only asked me about house job certificates and certificate of good standing with the PMC. No other professional experience documents from the clinical job i was working. They say if you have done non clinical work then to have those employers fill in a gen1 form. Hope that was helpful. Please let me know if you have any more questions.

Yes unfortunately i was in the unlucky last few that didn't get an extension. They announced the changes after I had already retaken the exam.

No no. It's different from your final year transcript as well as your cumulative transcript. If you're from dow then go to the student's branch admin and ask them that you want a "final transcript" made. They will sort you out. This thing is like massive summary of all 5 years including details of marks achieved in your ward tests and everything.

@@MrEmadsaeed that should be enough. It worked for me when I used it for registering with the GMC. Some people use their provisional certificate. That also works.
