    I would like to add a point regarding clinical attachment. It is true that you don't necessarily need one, but some trusts only accept applications from the doctors who have done a clinical attachment at their Trust. Also, doing a clinical attachment might help you land a job in a Trust, as the consultants might be impressed by your professionalism and work, and in the end, they might just want you for the job, instead of looking through countless job applications and conducting interviews.

    Thank you for this video. Actually, based on my personal perspective, I have noticed that getting a job in the UK has become way difficult in the last few years. • @RoadToUK
      @RoadToUK  Před 6 měsíci +3

      When we started in the UK, there was no shortage occupancy. We had to wait for UK citizens to first get a job. We weren't allowed visas easily.
      So we have to disagree. Things have become easier, but yes, competition is there. That isn't something that's limited to the UK, however. And as we mentioned, you can always apply for training if you feel non training is taking too long.

    Salute you Dr. Ibrahim & Dr. Ibreez, much thankful for this informative & timely session! May I ask some relevant questions?
    1. In my home country, specialty training in Internal medicine is done through attaining a masters in internal medicine (3 years). Do you have any info on IMGs with GMC registration & ready for UK jobs that have acquired jobs before completing specialty training in their home countries (especially if this masters route in their home country)?
    Would it be possible then to entire into group 2 IM subspecialties' training if one has done 2 out of their 3 years in their home countries?
    2. Could you comment on the probability of getting into NHS employment for this special category of doctors: Jobless & well-registered IMG doctors that have attained at least one or two months of clinical attachment within The UK, but are still searching for employment within both The UK as well as their home countries.
