Carry on my wayward son
For there'll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
Don't you cry no more
Once I rose above the noise and confusion
Just to get a glimpse beyond the illusion
I was soaring ever higher, but I flew too high
Though my eyes could see I still was a blind man
Though my mind could think I still was a mad man
I hear the voices when I'm dreamin', I can hear them say
Carry on my wayward son
For there'll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
Don't you cry no more
Masquerading as a man with a reason
My charade is the event of the season
And if I claim to be a wise man, it surely means that I don't know
On a stormy sea of moving emotion
Tossed about I'm like a ship on the ocean
I set a course for winds of fortune, but I hear the voices say
Carry on my wayward son
For there'll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
Don't you cry no more
Carry on, you will always remember
Carry on, nothing equals the splendor
Now your life's no longer empty
Surely heaven waits for you
Carry on my wayward son
For there'll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
Don't you cry no more

❤ I love this band and Pastor Jim Flatirons is my kind of church
I was there in the front row, jamming out to the best song they have ever done.
Sure do miss Tommy as well as Randy...God enriched talent...
Love Tommy's leadership with our band! You are all great!
Wow!
What a great rendition of this!
Tommy and the rest of the band are phenomenally talented! So wonderful to hear them perform!
Tommy and Zack left this church and Jim some what hints about his bitterness. I'm bent that he left. The music is just not the same! Still go to Flatirons but iuhg!
@@brettskie0752 When did Tommy leave? That is a great impact to the Flatirons worship team. He was phenomenal.
Absolutely flawless performance.
_"So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal."_
*2 Corinthians 4:16-18*
For the still wayward children out there still afflicted by their desires of the flesh and inner tribulations, let this be your chance of repentance, atonement and preparation for the Treasures that not of this world but are given to us by our Father Above.
I love my church. The music is so good here, and this is a great example of their talent and quality
You guys nailed it. Performing on stage is not that easy with same energy. Awesome!
Love Love Love
Loving it!!! ALL praise to our Lord Jesus!
And this song glorifies him how? Seems to me like all the praises and attention is on them. Not the savior.
This got me charged up Sunday! So good! Thanks for posting...Saved!
Amazing amount of talent 🙌👏 here, that the Lord is putting to good use.
Keep it up Flatirons...🤗
utterly Impressed!
Fantastic
This band is incredible!!
One of the best song made
I think Flatirons should release a live album of songs because so many take on a magic energy when performed live. Great sound.
Praise the Lord! Outstanding use of the gifts he has given all of you....
Love
Wow 🤘🤘
Yes, Wayward son here that's found our Lord Jesus - Thank you!!
I’m sure god was very impressed
As a huge Kansas fan that has seen them multiple times, your vocals are ................even better!!! So nice, full and thick! You should be very proud of your god given talents. God bless you all!!!
Please consider doing Kansas' The Wall.
Amazing really professional
Is this a gospel music?
It is not! This is a cover we did of Kansas :) We don't consider it worship, but rather a special element in the service.
No, and it’s not a biblical church either.
@@Flatirons false church. I hope ppl are leaving in droves!
@@TX_OCHO They don't respond because they know it's wrong but they don't care and choose to do it anyway. By doing this, they make a mockery of Christ...
Why does he have a cast on his leg in thumbnail?
So somebody needs to hit me with some details on that guitar tone....
Ok y’all now pass the tithing baskets around while our worship team preforms Carry On My Wayward Son by Kansas.
Hi!
We don't pass aroudn tithing buckets at all :)
@@Flatirons This was just a joke. Not a dig at y’all. Also, how do you collect tithes? Lol the joke would still apply for tithing via Venmo. 😂
@@BipityBopity93 lol love it! Most of the tithing is done online/ on our app, we do have buckets at the back for people to drop off donations if they'd like :)
@@Flatirons lol there it is. I was like, can’t keep the lights on without those tithes. Someone’s gotta be donating. 😂
For all the people here that think secular rock should not be played in church, consider the FACT that December 25 began as a pagan holiday the the church adopted! With your reasoning, the church should have nothing to do with December 25. How about Easter egg hunts? Practically every church has one each year. Easter eggs were originally pagan fertility symbols. The church subsumed both of these to bridge to a pagan culture with the message of Christ. Secular music in church is no different. As long as the gospel is preached, I support most any attempt to open the minds and hearts of listeners.
Well as of recent, Flatirons restructured their doctrine and leadership with more biblical truth than ever and lost more than half of their staff and many members as well… I’m sure that those who left also agreed with you… You are 100% right about those holidays having pagan origins, but the difference with observing these holidays in the church and singing secular music is that with those holidays, once pagan or not, it is used as a time to glorify the Lord and honor Him.. As With singing secular songs that have absolutely nothing to do with God in which most of these artist’s they are singing even openly deny Christ, proves that secular music should have no business being played in a place ordained as a house for the Lord.
Though we are in the world we are not of the world....just sayin. Great cover though, very talented singers.
"Be ye separate" apparently doesn't apply to your church. Do you think Jesus would tell the wayward sinner to just carry on? No...He would say come unto me and sin no more. This is sad to incorporate this kind of music into a church service.
There is a message: “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”
@@domainadmin671 that makes zero sense.
@@terrillwhite4308 Read the lyrics. They may not speak to you but their is wisdom to be found in them.
Honestly out of all the songs we have covered for specials, this is probably the most Christian like. It’s telling “carry on my wayward son, there will be peace when you are done”. I see that as god saying to keep going on the path he wants for us until we are in heaven, which is the “peace when you are done”.
@@pikaf14 That's as ridiculous as saying something like "Enter sandman" By Metallica is full of godly wisdom because in the lyrics it says "Say your prayers, little one, don't forget, my son to include everyone" that it's Jesus speaking to us... It's all hogwash...There is nothing "Christian" about any secular songs, they were not written with the intent to glorify or be about Jesus Christ...Secular music should not be played in a house of worship or in a church setting. You can't compromise The Lord like that. It doesn't work that way. You either are of the world or with God, you can't be both.
Clean out your ears, bro. Jesus said it first not me.
This is what I’d expect from a church organisation. And that’s why I stay well away.
Sad how Satan has infiltrated so many churches. I can’t find one that I can attend. I stay in the word and watch the few good pastors / churches I’ve found online.
