I applaud this church for stepping out of the box, and shining light on not so contemporary songs, and music that have a lot of good behind them. I see it every Sunday morning, people are engaged.
I was a Sunday school teacher here in the five-year-old room at this time. I attended the service live. This was an amazing performance. This church really does deeply reach a lot of people and even though all churches have their imperfections they do over a good job of effectively and truthfully conveying the word of God to people
Ive always loved the message of this song and it is VERY appropriate in this setting. I can see that this was posted a few years ago but how appropriate that it resurface now with Eddie’s passing. He was a gift from God to many of us and now it’s meaningful that this song might engage or connect with someone who has not heard “the rest of story” that being the promise of a relationship with Jesus. Outstanding musicianship all around and in particular: -drummer nails every important change up and tricky accent -singer comes as close you can to nailing lead vox while also nailing the EVH guitar solo. WOW. Speaking of nails, let this engage someone enough to learn about the nails of Jesus.

The video has great production values. The musicians know their chops and licks. But what is wrong with the audience? I don't see anyone getting into the music right there in front of them? Are they dead?
Maybe you should go to the Church and find out. They have a great band yes, but the message is even better. They do church in a way that doesn't bore someone to tears. They play music. They make jokes about hunting and drinking and such. But that is only a fraction of what they do. They teach lessons and God's standards and the bible. But just be a dick, they'll totally go play Highway to Hell.

Randy our worship leader is a Grammy winner, has music credits throughout the industry and Im proud to have him as a friend. PS his son Parker on this video that did the Eddie V. rif is 13 years old...I think he did a pretty good job too.

No criminal act - they are just passing off on CZcams a studio recording like a live performance. Van Halen got busted using a backing track at a concert, so maybe that was the goal. Congrats to Randy on the Grammy!
Listen, this is a great song and a good cover but a bad church. God is Holy and has a certain way that He demands He will be worshipped and this isn't it.
