Many thanks for the uploads! Do you know what happened to "There Comes a Time..." (1985) series with Andrew Sachs, Robert Daws, Geoffrey Whitehead? It can't be found anywhere but it wasn't lost. It's very hard to understand, considering it was very funny and had such a beautiful cast. Do you have it? Thank you.
At 0:47, that looks to be a £10 note? Series D, Bank of England note with Florence Nightingale on the obverse - the brownish colour precludes it from being a £1 or £5 pound note. If we assume overtime is paid at time and a half (x1.5) and Terry is getting 1.5 hours of this, then 10=(1.5x)1.5 -> 6.66 = 1.5x -> 4.44 = x. Putting 4.44 into an inflation calculator means that Terry was being paid about £21 an hour in today's money (2024), which seems like quite a bit for a chef, especially if employed by a miser like Basil Fawlty? Wouldn't £21/hour be almost double what a chef in the south of England would be making today?
RIP Brian Hall, the perfect chirpy Cockney chef.
"What the eye don't see, the chef gets away with"
Most underrated character in the show.
I love "what the eye don't see, the chef gets away with". Miss u handsome.
RIP Brian Hall, taken too soon, great addition to the second season
He reminded me of a dear friend; both lost to soon.

"Filthy Towers, ay" 😁😁
"That's socialism."
"Nah, that's the free market!"
...but I can't think what you're gonna tell your guests...LOL!
You’re in a good mood Mr. Fawlty. Had a bit of luck on the gee gees Terry, not a word to the trouble and strife eh?
"Do you like, ugh, Cavelleria Rusticana, Terry?"
"I've never had it Mr. Fawlty."
🤣
Finnish karate teacher
"Finnish her!"
"Well...it's a _sort o'_ karate, innit?"
So goes life ... LOL!!!
I’ve worked in kitchens and it’s not far from this. Consider that.
