    Remember the golden age of the BBC!? When nobody got offended and everyone just had a good honest laugh. When comedy was sexist, racist, crude with minimal swearing, comedy writers were allowed to write just about anything, and comedic talent was allowed to grow and thrive organically. They were good times.

    • @hamishwhitehenderson5197
      @hamishwhitehenderson5197 Před 2 lety

      Don't insult Fawlty Towers by pretending that all tv was anywhere near as good as this in the seventies. About 75% of it was very simple comedy written for very simple people who can't understand much outside of bad puns about sex and quips about mothers in law and those hilarious berry wearing Frenchies. Comedy writers should be able to write about anything, but they must remember to do it in a way that special little boys like me can understand. If you think Allo Allo, Love Thy Neighbour or Only Fools and Horses can hold fork handles to this then it's obviously you who are a delusional snowflake.

I’m 49 and to this day I still watch whenever I can. When I was 19 I finally had a chance to go to England and it’s my favorite place that I’ve ever traveled to. Made friends there over the years and still visit every two years. I liked it so much there’s no reason for me to go anywhere else.
