    After watching your video about 2 weeks ago I purchased 2 sets of the 4” led lights but I bought the 60 watt lights and made my own wire harness with an inline 5 amp fuse every connection has marine shrink connectors. I bought 2 Talentcell 6,000 ma A/C batteries they are D/C 12,000 amp hour 12v with USB 5v on D/C at 12,000ma. The clamps you made for the forks they also sell and come with different size rubber inserts to fit 1” to 2.5” forks. This was a very good headlight setup I even bought a push button switch and Plastic ammo box I mounted on the back rack drilled a 3/4” hole in the box to run the wires in with a grommet so the inline fuse can be in the box and loomed it all the way on bottom of top rail with black zip ties. It looks like the bike came that way and those 2 led 60w total 120watt lights are extremely bright. I don’t know if you know already but you can buy the male/Female connectors and 2m wires and shorter with 3 wire pigtails that is what I’m using on my other mini bike but still figuring a way to wire it and keep the battery dry because my other mini bike isn’t the Coleman ct200U it is a Motovox Mega moto 212cc and the rack is much shorter then my Coleman so if I use another ammo box it will use the only rack on the bike that are nice to carry things. The pigtail splitters I have are for a taillight or horn or whatever. Amazon carries everything for the headlight Taillight turn signal horn whatever you want. I wish I’d seen these connectors and harness before I did my Coleman. That was a good idea your video gave me a range of choices and since the Coleman ct200U is wired it still needs a taillight I will install probably an led strip that has taillight and turn signals. Keep up the good work and idea’s and if you use an ammo box buy some foam like what a gun case has and slot out the battery spot so it fits snug and will stay in place also will absorb the hard bumps very good lights and Lithium battery’s I would highly recommend. A word of advise if the battery stays in the mini bike even if you have the power off the setup will still draw juice so it’s recommended you unplug it while it’s just sitting or if a week or so goes buy and you haven’t used it the battery will drain slowly so now I just unplug it all the time when I’m not riding it. If anyone reading this decides to do the same the headlight mounts come for vertical and horizontal so if you’re mounting the lights on the fork make sure you look at the light mounting hole on fork mount you the mounting holes vertical when mounting so you can adjust them the other mounts which look the same aren’t if you fork mount the holes are vertical and to make them adjust the way there supposed to you’ll end up adding unnecessary metal stock to get it to work so decide how they mount before you buy them there basically the same as he made but have flat stock center in the middle about 1.5” and the hole will be either up and down or side to side.

    could you use a 12v bullet headlight designed for a motorcycle ? I assume you could just wire the same way w out the fog lights and low beams ? also, wondering, why dont you need a fuse with this set up ?

    Cool. I have a Tule Trooper MIII that I am trying to get going again. Do you know where I can get new brakes? The go-kart people say their parts won't fit.
    Thank you.....

    What wire did you run out out your battery that had those wires?

    What is the cord that connects from the battery, to the light?

    • @mellostyx
      @mellostyx  Před 5 lety

      It’s just some wire I had lying around. You just need to run a positive and a negative from the battery to the light, or lights. I put the switch in to break the positive connection and shut off the lights. Hope this helps, having bright lights is awesome!

      Unnecessary Upgrades so u just cut the black cord that comes with battery pack with the charging port? N spit the wires inside and one is positive n the other a negative ??? That’s how u make your connection with pos n neg wires coming out of aftermarket light??

      Dondada Herb yes I did what he has done but when I made my harness I put an inline spade fuse in 5 or 2 amp will protect from surges or anything that might destroy the lights and battery. Any hardware store will carry it get the spade fuse and a 3 pack of 5 amp fuses so you have one if needed. Amazon sells the male female connectors you can wire the connectors say male to each light if using 2 and buy a Y female with a male at the back for the battery and if you want to add a taillight just buy the pigtail splitter with 2 females and a male at the end. Both females connects to the back of each light and the male to battery. These connectors were made for the Talentcell battery but don’t come with a fuse it’s optional but better to pay for a fuse then buy new lights or battery. BTW you can put a smaller fuse in maybe 2 amp if something happens the fuse will blow before the light or battery. I hope that helped! If you want it waterproof just unplug the connections and slide a piece of shrink wrap on connect it slide shrink wrap over connectors and use a lighter to shrink it over connectors and if you ever need to disconnect any just take a razor knife and gently cut the shrink wrap not the plugs or wires. I hope this helped you! I
