I just got a lights On/Off switch for my Mini Bike too. I was originally gonna get that same Blue Switch but then last minute changed my mind and I got a 3 Button in 1 switch so I could wire Headlight to its own button and Tail Light to it's own button and Amber/Orange side lights to their own button and control each of the lights seperately if I don't wanna run all of them at the same time in order to save Battery life cause I don't have the stock Flywheel in anymore. I upgraded to a Billet Flywheel and had to cut the charging coils off so i am now running everything off a single 12 Volt Battery I put in. Also I swapped out the stock headlight with a round LED light instead to help conserve battery power. When the battery does eventually die I have a battery charger to recharge it. Next I wanna get a GPS Speedometer to mount on the center of the handlebars and run that to the battery also.

Awesome, thanks for the idea. I also have a billet flywheel now and I have no lights. I was thinking of using a Dewalt battery and a resistor to make it 12v.

Oh ok That sounds a lot easier. Thanks!

I want to use this switch on my motorbike but eBay have sent me the wiring harness that has the press on/off button that Velcros to a panel. Can I remove the button on the wiring harness and then fit handle bar plug as shown in this video

It's hard for me to say without looking at what you have, but I'd say go for it. Worst that happens is you have to buy another one.

Hey young man. Here's a tip. It's been a year so you might have figured it out. You could have.. mounted your switch. Pulled your headlight. Unplug the connection at the motor so you can pull it some slack in the headlight. Take your switch wires and put them thru the grommet in the back of the headlight. You can pull the grommet out to make it easier. Cut the ends off the switch wires and put them thru the grommet. A little WD-40 helps. The green wire connected to bulb should be ground. Pull the rubber boot back and check. Slice down the wire cover to headlight bulb and expose about 4" of wires. Cut the power wire to the bulb 2-3" from the bulb. The ground stays untouched. Connect each wire from the switch to the each of the power wire you cut. Solder, terminal ends, shrink tube... Whatever you prefer. All you are doing is slicing the switch into your power wire. Switch works by turning on and off. All you are doing is supplying power (on) disabling power(off). Adjust your wires out the back of headlight for a clean look to switch. And enough slack to plug your connection at the motor back together. If you want to add a rear light. Mount the light. Ground the light to frame or? Run the power wire along the frame and into the headlight (I use black wire so it's less noticable). Connect the wire inside the headlight to power wire. Just add to one of the power connections you made wiring the switch. Light is wired and will work off the switch. All your connections are secure in the headlight bucket and you get a nice clean look. Keep having fun. ✌️🇺🇸

I'm going to try this how many power wires are in back of the headlight? I noticed you said connect each power wire from the switch to each power wire you cut.

@@michaelmartinez4366 it's been a while. That project is in the rear view mirror. Lol. The headlight is powered constantly from the factory. All you are doing is running the switch wires into the headlight. You are cutting the power wire to the headlight. Now you have two ends of "power wire". Now you connect the wires from the switch... One wire to each end of the power wire you cut. All you are doing is putting that switch in line with the power wire. Turn switch on .. light goes on. Switch off .. light off. If the switch is labeled with an on/off then test it after you wire it. If on is off, and off is on... Just switch the wires. If you are connecting a tail light,. Which you can wire up in the headlight bucket too... Run both wires from the taillight into the headlight bucket. Connect the ground to the ground. Connect the power to one of the power wires. Test lights. If the taillight isn't working with the switch, remove the power wire and connect it to the other power wire. I can't remember which power wire it connects to. I think it's the wire from the headlight to the switch wire. Either way... If it doesn't work just switch it. You cannot ground the taillight anywhere except to the ground off the headlight bulb. Hope this helps

@@michaelmartinez4366 .... The wires in the headlight bucket from the bulb. ... One wire is power one is ground. Can't remember the color of the wires. Use a test light...you'll know then. LED bulb works real good in mine.
