    Have you tried running a reverse cone megaphone (sp?) on your straight pipes? There is some exhaust pulse tuning benefit to those. I don't know if you could buy one or if you would have to fabricate one. I have seen plans on the web to build from flat sheet steel. Cut, roll, & weld. (I know you weld) I used to run one on my Honda SL100 back in junior high. (1971-72) Mine had no baffle - just straight tuned megaphone. It was loud, but that little bike was pretty fast with it on.

    I installed a long pipe on my stock bt200x. Now it just overheats and dies out in about 5 to ten minutes. Could be im a noob and hardly service it other than the oil changes, spark plug cleaning, and bold tightenings. Maybe a carb cleaning is in order?

    I installed the straight exhaust pipe, added 18# valve springs and zip tied the governor spring. I get up to about 39 mph now but when i let off the throttle it starts popping out of the exhaust! You think i need to lean out the jet? Maybe go down to a . 039 jet?

    • @Deucealive75
      @Deucealive75 Před 7 měsíci

      The popping has nothing to do with the main jet. When you close the throttle at high RPM it's not getting enough fuel and a lean condition is created.
