Putting a better exhaust on a Coleman BT200X Minibike

  • I bought a Coleman BT200X minibike a couple months ago and while it’s a lot of fun, it does have some shortcomings. The first one I’m going to address is the exhaust. I bought minibike / go cart exhaust of Amazon that will fit the engine and it should only take me 5 minutes to install it, or will it?

Put the header pipe on take a propane torch and heat it at the bend. Get it red hot and take a screwdriver stick it in the end and bend it an inch or so. So much easier.

A great tip! My propane torch has an issue right now: when I turn it up high, it randomly flames out so I can't get enough heat into the pipe for it to soften. I'll need a new propane torch soon, I think.

I rel\ally like these series of videos - it has me strategizing my BT200X purchase!!! What I just noticed is that the easier route on the exhaust would be to cut out the ANGLE at the flange (connection to the enginea0 THEN weld that back reducing that welded chrome look. Just an idea - i will have to try it on mine and let you know!!!
