I am a former research immunologist so I am confident about my assessment of my medical assertions. I have a different take on how and why so many public health officials lied. Yes, they were and are bald-face lies. I think these officials fall into this spectrum: on one end we have people who purposely lied when they knew the truth and on the other end of the spectrum we have people who at least suspected what they would eventually say were probably false but they decided not to rock the boat and thought they would be in the majority and not be held to account. These people were all mistaken to believe they would get away with lying. So once the honest people started to confront the lies, the liars felt they had to double down or they would face the full force of the consequences. By doubling down they think that A) their bluff might work or B) they might succeed in pretending to be just stupid and incompetent but not wicked. I am pretty sure this analysis is close to the truth.

I put out a scale in early 2020 to describe the people who believed the response to beer bug was commensurate to the risk. At one end were the ignorant and at the other end were the malevolent. Many people fell in the middle. They were apathetic. That apathy was just a varied mix of ignorance and malevolence. Those people knew something wasn't quite right but they were getting paid and living a relatively normal life so they didn't care. The worst government policy of my lifetime. A genuine crime.

I hear this refrain quite often and notice the same thing that these guys noticed about the “I love Obama, I hate Trump” disclaimer. A simple look, scan through any conservative comments sections, any video content, any media outlet would show that that’s not true. Leftism requires being a dogmatic ideologue. Conservatism is about principles not ideology. Major difference which shows itself consistently whatever topic of contention one chooses to test this through. The right/left paradigm is a ruse. Politics in general is also a ruse for distraction and entertainment. Reason being DC is a foreign country City State which pays NO taxes, has its own flag and is not required to adhere to the laws they pass for the commoners/citizens, sitting on a 10x10 Mile radius in the city of Washington, has its own Constitution and serves the CROWN. All presidents, including Obama (Barry Soetoro) and Donald (Dfrump) German name, are blood related to the British Aristocracy. The Pope came over in 1871 and changed the original Constitution into a Corporate Constitution and Congress approved it. Just like they approved the (NOT FEDERAL but PRIVATELY OWNED) FEDERAL RESERVE. USA became USAINC and as should be apparent serve the CORPORATIONS over serving the Ppl. The CROWN and it’s Oligarchs own the major majority of those Corporations. Corporations are about the bottom line as we’ve just seem with the Hospitals.. all being Corporations. USAINC, The CROWN and THE VATICAN COMPRISE 0:47 THE CITY OF THE EMPIRE. All are city states with their own military, pay no taxes, abide by no laws. Not even subject to prosecution for mass death depopulation through a feigned plandemic for global depopulation.
When you have this type of government you’re talking about a
FASCIST STATE. Which is one level below COMMUNISM. That’s why they’re reducing the population to better control what’s left. MSN is also under the Empires control.

Gabrielle Halley , yes! I stopped having allergies after being gluten-free for two years. I haven't had allergies for over 10 years.
I don't know if it was the jab or the masks that triggered relapse.
Then, I was forced to get the jab. In 2021, I found a Harvard University posted an article, on November 1, 2021, about the m R N A being exciting because this was the first time it would be used on humans.
So, I held out, got the J&J, and survived it.
As for the masks, the longer I wore them the more strongly I smelled the chemicals used to make the masks. And my nose was congested and very runny. (I was constantly needing to blow my nose. Masks are supposed to make things more hygienic?!?)
I tend to be very sensitive to the odors of things I'm allergic to.
I switched to a cotton mask and made sure all the chemicals were washed out of it. My nose is still a little runny, but not stuffed up and super runny.

Here in Victoria, Australia, where we had the most severe and extended lockdowns in the Western world, policy was largely driven by unions. Schools remained shut because teachers unions were anxious to protect their members. This caution extended well beyond any medical justification. The union-led Labor government followed union pressure beyond the medical evidence, which it refused to make public. It was political. It was non-unionized small businesses that took the brunt of it. The medical establishment failed to call out this overeach.

"Do you know anybody who has or has had covid"? I felt obliged to ask these questions simply because the only evidence that we were living through a pandemic was from the talking heads on TV telling us we were . That simply wasn't good enough for me to accept that a pandemic was in progress . I must admit that seeking more truth points to the fact that I don't have IT and that's not very comforting. Truth often requires a tension between different perspectives. More and more people ONLY value truth when it costs nothing. As soon as a bonus, or fault in an accident, or level of influence, or political office even seems to be at stake, then truth takes a back-burner. Today, nearly everyone wants POWER, regardless of truth. Power always corrupts, but truth never does.

@@magdalenaalgarin3218 At least he inserted the word "ostensibly" before referring to minorities and the poor as "the people liberals and progressives care about the most." He's beginning to grasp reality. When your starting principles are collectivist, your principles nudge you toward (group-) identity politics (which is a euphemism for racism, classism, etc.), and more deeply, toward a perspective where you, as the individual-subject theorizer or implementer of collectivism, get into a "veterinary" relation to the "cattle," whose individuality is subordinated to their membership in a herd. And just as bad, politics becomes more hyper-partisan and less conducive to freedom of thought, because political struggles get defined as making your group, tribe, or class the one with the power, as opposed to individuals coming together for voluntary, temporary, issue-specific coalitions.
-- Furthermore, implementations of collectivist ideology are inherently elitist, due to the class-divide between the theorists and implementers on one hand and the masses being manipulated on the others. I chuckled at Zweig's belief that leftists are skeptical of authority, and his surprise that the left caved in to authoritarian covid measures.
-- The underlying assumptions of collectivist ideology regarding the human condition are crude and inadequate, and it's not a surprise that implementations of collectivist ideology often lead to mass murder.
-- Classification, categorization, and objectification are fundamental to science, rationality, language, and intellectual activity. They are intellectually primitive, but not phenomenologically primitive. Beneath the layer of conscious thoughts is the layer of unclassified, un-objectified raw sensation, the layer where classical and operant conditioning occur, the layer that will become for adults the waking unconscious, but for newborn infants, is the only mode they have for experience. It is also the layer in which intuition resides, and where emotions occur prior to our noticing them. It's where habits are developed and where they prompt automatic behaviors, including (as adults) habitual intellectual and emotional behaviors.
-- Objectification is built into language. When we name things, we treat them as distinct, countable objects, singular or plural. Objectification is a phenomenological process in which we render the things of the world as distinct from one another and from ourselves, subordinating their connections to whatever distinctness the things of the world possess. When we acquire the habit of objectifying the things of the world (in learning how to name objects), we end up rendering the world as distinct from ourselves, the flip side of which is that we take on a posture of ourselves as distinct from the world (despite our connections to it), and one outcome of our posture-of-disconnection from the world is to allow our minds a measure of freedom from being causally determined by the world. By around puberty, we begin to have a sense of self as the subject of subjective experience. (There are primitive analogues to subjective experience, but they do not achieve the disconnection from the world and the measure of freedom from its causations that are integral to adult subjective experience, which is the subjective experience that we talk about, which meets the conventional definition of "subjectivity.")
-- The rudiments of attachment, love, empathy, trust, and so on are learned in infantile, pre-linguistic, pre-objectifying, pre-subjective experience, and attachment, love, empathy, trust, etc, continue to develop in the waking unconscious, which is the background to our conscious thinking. As pre-objectifying experience, that experience isn't broken into portions that are distinct and name-able, and when one tries to describe it, one destroys its fundamental holism. One can talk about it indirectly, but to render it in a form that enables analysis makes it into something other than what it is.
-- This is a limitation of thought, language, scientific method, and conscious experience generally, and, relevant here, of the social sciences, with which Marxism is heavily entangled. The us-them divide between theorists and the objects of their theorizing is built into social-science methods. The theorists conceive themselves as individual thinkers, but their objects are members of a herd. Certainly individual practitioners are capable of identifying with their objects, and manifesting authentic empathy, compassion, etc, but these attributes are not acquired from social-science training, and are in many ways at odds with that training. Like all sciences, the social sciences objectify and mathematize what they study, in order to render their objects of study more predictable, classifiable, and manipulable. In the social sciences, those objects are human beings.
-- The content of one's character is inherently an individual attribute, dependent on one's individual choices and behaviors.
-- I'm out of steam here.

In the young, the risk of serious illness from Covid is smaller than the risk from adverse effects of the vaccine. In the elderly, the risk from the ancestral strain of Covid was far greater than the risk from adverse reactions from vaccine ( as derived from small sample size in the research safety studies.) As time went on, more folk took the vaccine and the risk from the vaccine could be better defined ( still work in progress ) . Meanwhile the emerging novel virus was mutating to a more infectious yet ( so far ) less virulent variant, so the risk / benefit analysis surely needs to be reassessed. Does that help? As an oldie, in Feb 2021 I thought the risk from Covid justified the vaccine ( might want a heap more personalised risk assessment now ) I followed as much of the science as I could find. By 2022 I did not consider risking any booster in the time of Omicron and having survived a relatively mild brush with Covid by then. I moderated my views in of new evidence. ( I remain the only oldie in my peer grp who desisted the boosters. ) Getting Covid was extremely liberating, as the fear was abolished at a stroke. I am not sure we could see all the adverse reactions in the research studies. If the incidence is 0.01% , that is only 1 in 10000 participants. By the time billions have been vaccinated, the actual count of adverse reactions is correspondingly noticeably larger……and can no longer be ignored.

It's true that brighter people are capable of rationalizing almost anything, good or bad. This is where epistemology enters: how we come to know what we know, or think we know. At the basis of truth-seeking is old fashioned fact-checking, but not the current way the term is used, which is meant to intimidate and push a political agenda. Perhaps fact-seeking is a better term.
The way we can be fairly certain our ideas are valid is by doing our best to be neutral and seek the facts not necessarily from ''experts'' but by our own process of fact-seeking and application of logic.
It was by this process, along with intuition, that many knew the pandemic was infused with substantial degrees of nonsense.
One particularly significant fact was the survival rate for covid was 99.9%, 95% for those over sixty-five. Another was that hospitals were incentivized to diagnose covid through the unreliable PCR test because covid paid much better than other illnesses. The numbers provided through government and media were inflated to ensure maximum fear, with fear being associated with compliance and conformity.

There's a fear for one's career with the understanding that one must be on the "right" political side to hold their career. To the extent that one is attached to their career is to the extent that they will adopt a faith in science on the word of superiors who also have the same faith, where the knowledge (and thus the data) doesn't matter. Therefore, the vaccine isn't a vaccine; it's a weapon. It's not even a worldwide experiment, because they aren't taking any data. Why? Again, they don't care about science and truth so that it can help people. I think though that something relatively important was left out from in depth discussion, and I'd guess that in order to understand why someone like myself would find it so important could indeed tempt one to go down the road of assumption and/or speculation. The reason I'm bringing this up is because when you treat this as an "investigation" you'd obviously at some point have to start making educated guesses as to the true possible motivation of such things associated with the whole "pandemic" response. Let's just face the elephant in the phone booth here and ask ourselves WHY all of the major media outlets were CONSTANTLY PUSHING this awful scare-tactic narrative about things like; bodies piling up and being transported in large refrigerated trucks, the people supposedly dropping like flies every day with the confirmation FOR this false narrative supported by the "death count" present at all times on the screen of some news channels for ALMOST A YEAR! The SUPPORT for all the social media attacks of how if you didn't get the vaccine you would DIE or at least KILL someone else. And how getting the vaccine was the only way to STOP from killing people, that it meant non-vax takers had "blood on their hands" (IDK how many times we saw THAT one over and over). How the people trying alternative treatments were lining up at clinics and hospitals taking beds from sick people, and that "ivermectin" users were actually taking horse medicine (which was total bullsh*t). But the major media outlets, TV broadcast, radio, internet, and print were ALL BACKING THESE PHONY STORIES perpetually with NO oppositional dialog introduced into the conversations. They supported masks even LONG after the studies were all clear that the masks really may not be helping and were STILL telling everyone to "wear a mask", "wear TWO masks", "mask mandates", "nobody should be allowed to even travel without a vaccine and being masked", and how once the vaccine was distributed you "won't have to wear a mask" but even after millions had the vax they still supported mask mandates on planes, in stores, at work, even in SCHOOLS!! Don't conjure in groups. Rat out your neighbors if you see them gathering in their own backyard private property not wearing masks and talking and singing loudly. WTF??!! Do we have worse memories than goldfish? They were doubling down on this sh*t day in and day out, and it all turned out to be absolutely ludicrous and now we know they KNEW IT!
You can't tell me with all honesty there wasn't SOMETHING deep behind the motivation for this that had NOTHING TO DO with any of the media outlets trying to be careful or actually caring about the safest outcome--I won't ever believe that because I STILL posses SOME of my common sense that knows better. This is what I'm saying is the elephant in the phone booth that needs to be addressed more diligently. It was absolutely foolish and went on far longer than necessary and the scare tactics did nothing but that, frighten people, it did nothing to help anyone. EVERY media outlet that pushed that narrative and did nothing to even slightly reprimand any of the people that were running wild with these FALSE assumptions based on the same narrative being solicited by these outlets I mentioned.

@@karinberryman2009 You're 100% correct. Unfortunately those of us that have removed the railroad spike from our brains are all too aware that the CORRECT and DUE JUSTICE will never make its way to the appropriate responsible parties. People sometimes refer to this as the "political mafia". There's a problem with that assessment though; first, I'd actually prefer the mafia be running things because we all know they'd do a much better job, and the real reason I'd like to see that--which reflects the problem with the previous statement--is that AT LEAST the mafia has a code of ethics. You'll NEVER see that with politicians.
