Day 6 of training here in Iten, Kenya and today was a double easy run day ahead of our long run tomorrow. Whilst out on our morning run we had a pretty surreal experience when we were passed by the biggest running group in Iten, running 3:50/km at the end of their recovery run! It's crazy to think that all of the 200+ Kenyan running in that group can do that 3min pace that easily.
Amazing to see all the Kenyan runners training in a big group. Can really see how this would make a difference with speed training and pushing yourself collectively so you're all suffering together! Loving this series Ben, excellent insights
As a 60yr old parkrunner, I'm probably not the target audience but I have loved experiencing this trip vicariously. If I'd had the chance in my 20s, I may well have been on a plane to Kenya as a result of these videos. Tx Ben.
Please leave any equipment/shoes you can for the locals at the end of the trip!
The prime X strung edition for 96£ (108€) that's a bargain here in Europe, especially when you know the retail price is 247£ (280€)
Loving these Ben... Love the Kenya Vlogs... Thank you
That must have been quite something being overtaken by such a group! Glad death by core was not as bad, I'm sure they will make up for it next week... It's nice to support "local" businesses ;-) Enjoy the long run!
Ben kazi poa....and put those running shoes in a glass box as souvenirs with the red Kenyan dust
Soundtrack to this Kenya series please Ben! Loving it
Amazing the depth of talent in Kenya 🇰🇪 !
Great vids Ben 👍 can you give minute/miling aswell at Ks please
I think you should get the prime x
that was a really good deal too, 180 euros less then retail price
It's incredible to see the products in those stores. Even with the poverty, economic issues, problems to get products that are normal in the rest of the world that the countries like Kenya have (unfortunatelly), they have better shoes and a lot of more variety that the ones that the local stores here in Argentina have.
That has more to say about us, than about Kenya.. anyway, great vlogs Ben! keep up with the good content and enjoy the dream over there!
Cheers from Argentina
That group running is amazing. I've seen it in more videos, Luis Orta for example. No matter how fast you are, you run slow in the big group. I'd love to run like that, 200 people and just run. Amazing.
Great video, great people, you're among giants. So awesome!
This is great Ben, great insight! Keep up the good work
This series is so cool. Well done Ben.
Love this series! It’s great to see how much fun you are having, what an amazing experience!
Ben I am so into this content. Looks like a dream come true? Not exactly the most relaxing vacation but must be incredible to live and train like the pros.
I watch all your videos but don’t comment much on anything on CZcams, just had to say that I’ve been enjoying this series so much. Last night I saved the episode to watch while I had my dinner, eagerly anticipating today. Great to see the Novablast TR coming out on the dusty tracks, they’re my go to for that type of terrain. Can you just stay and live there please so we can have a daily video? 😂
Ben have you even hurt a fly ever ?
Jambo 🏆
will you be making a video afterwards on what are some the downsides with trainging in kenya?
Dirty shoes
So their coach is basically Stephen Scullion 😂
The opening soundtrack os typical african!!!!
Hate to say it, but those Primex Strungs just might be knock-offs.
