Good quality paper makes a world of difference. My cousin's grandmother was an absolute stickler for beautifull, precision gift wrapping. Patterns matched, lines were crisp-- it was an art.

My parents always wrapped gifts from Santa when we were younger, but once my brother and I stopped believing in Santa, my mom said there's no point in wrapping the gifts. They're both passed the Santa stage, and my dad always wanted to keep doing it because he still wanted us to be surprised by what we got from them for Christmas. He was an amazing man

(it was in a box the size of a sheet of plywood) When unwrapping a gift the tape can ruin a pristine box and ruin the value. Always wrap a gift as if it's a collector item.
Same, I had to stop colleagues who were doing a Christmas wrapping event and drill in that you never tape the box. I’ve wrapped an unboxed, free flying, oversized teddy bear, if I can do that with no tape on the gift then you can do a square 🫡

My sister found a tickle me elmo still in the box when she went to clean out her old toys. It's worth anywhere between 50-400 dollars now. You never know what's going to be valued in twenty years. It doesn't hurt to show care for gifts, if nothing else it's a small bit of consideration to whom you're giving a gift to.

I KNOOOWWWW. If I wrapped this, my dad would call it garbage. You have to fold the edges before taping it down for a nice smooth and blunt line. Then this guy taped the top flap as a top layer on one side, but the bottom flap as the top layer on the other side. This wouldn't fly at my parents' house.
It’s quite easy if you have the right amount of paper and it isn’t cheap thin stuff. I think it’s the tools that can make you feel like a failure but once you get better paper and measure better you’ll find it’s a lot easier
He did a great job wrapping it fast. I just wished the sides were wrapped the same way for presentation. That’s just me being overly detailed. But overall great job. 💙

I used to do wrapping the whole week before Christmas at Barnes and noble for free (it was for charity’s) and you have to be super quick but I’m a pro at wrapping and I enjoyed it! And it was for charity so that made it more special and my mom did it with me so that a special memory I’ll have with my mom….she has MS and isn’t doing the greatest, so this video definitely brought back memories 💜

This is how i normally wrap presents, minus the roller. When i feel less exhausted or wanting to make something special and i have just enough wrapping paper, i would fold the ends of paper so no weird edges show and it is all smooth. Most presents get ripped into before they are seen fully so that's why sometimes i listen to my laziness and just don't care sometimes.
He folded the sides differently. The 2nd side was better. The 1st side had the short peice on top and it wasn't flat/taped down.. Lol it'd drive me nuts.
Like most of his wrapping skills. Live doing the fold over so the edge is jagged. The first side didn’t match the second side though. The way he did the first side would drive me crazy because the top flap was uneven. He did the second side nice though. Agree, don’t tape to the box, but you going to throw the box out anyway so it doesn’t matter. If it was a nice box, I wouldn’t tape to the box.

He folded the sides differently. The 2nd side was better. The 1st side had the short peice on top and it wasn't flat/taped down.. Lol it'd drive me nuts.

Like most of his wrapping skills. Live doing the fold over so the edge is jagged. The first side didn’t match the second side though. The way he did the first side would drive me crazy because the top flap was uneven. He did the second side nice though.
Agree, don’t tape to the box, but you going to throw the box out anyway so it doesn’t matter. If it was a nice box, I wouldn’t tape to the box.
Thank you! I was looking for a comment highlighting that fold over because I agree. I cringed a bit to be honest 😅 I just kept seeing the complaints of how he taped the box which is not good either but this bothered me too.
