Ange explained after the game that his reluctance to play VDV at LB was only due to fitness/health concerns due to his recent hamstring injuries. Can see us playing that formation with maybe destiny slotted at midfield a lot more often next year. Our defence with Romero and Dragusin CB and him LB looked bomb proof 💣
VDV can't play that inverted full back role I don't care whether he scored a goal against Burnley. We're doing it again, putting square pegs in round holes. Dragusin is a right sided CB playing on the left-hand side. We need proper cover for Udogie.

Two interesting stats for you to ponder Sean:
Minutes 16-45, spurs lose 15-24 over the season to date; minutes 0-15, 46-90 Spurs win 57-37. Says that the players go to the beach for half an hour when they aren't even tired.
Second stat: Spurs' defence has more goal contributions than the midfield - Defence 15 goals, 10 assists vs Midfield 10 goals + 12 assists. And Bissouma, Hojbjerg and Skipp have zero goal contributions between them all season. It backs up your assertions about the need for a 'monster 6': the current 'sixes' aren't protecting the back four and aren't contributing to goals either.
I have to say that the space afforded to wide players of almost all opponents this season is akin to leaving your smoking hot girlfriend, in a bikini, on the beach for all the strutting 'players' to leer lasciviously at. Sooner or later, one of them might do more than just that.....when you do the same at a barbecue in your own back garden, you have to ask questions about your mindset, your self-respect and your wisdom....
I don't blame Oli Skipp for not being a left back. I am a bit surprised about Postecoglou thinking that playing Skipp at LB as less of a risk than playing a back three of VdV, Dragusin and Romero.....but the game was won, so I guess AP just about got away with it.
Reguilon surely has a potential entry back into the squad if back up LB isn't top priority given financial realities? Does one say the same about Djed Spence at RB?? Just asking questions, not giving answers right now, you understand....

I’ve been thinking about the Real Madrid or Barcelona, PSG and Bayern Munich. We have a top top CB in VDV, if one of these clubs come in for him, Levy would sell IMO. Even if he wanted to stay.
I don’t think Levy would. When was the last time he entertained bids for first team players that weren’t pushing to move?
Maybe, but it still bothers me. Equally, after next season, perhaps he might wanna leave. Then we’ll a better idea where we are as a team.

Skill difference between a title contending premier league team and Celtic is huge. Quality of player matters a lot.
