It is not just the front line, it is about doing the simple things right. If you examine Man City, Liverpool and Arsenal what is the fundamental difference. 1. they pass the ball much better than we do, 2. they press much better than we do, 3 they shoot more often than we do and when they do they hit the target more often, 4. they hold the ball up much better and win second ball more often, 5. when they cross the ball they don't continually pass it straight into the keeper's arms 6. they defend aerially much better but this is number 6 because if you do 1 - 5 very well then number 6 is not so important. The coach need to change the way that the players think so that they develop the good habits above, which is what the coaches of the coaches above have achieved. We need to find players who do the basics.

@djpaullawrence9993 Son was great on the left. Scarlett looks ready to get more minutes, his first touch is great, he linked up well, and his positioning was great. Also feinting when the ball was passed and him leaving it to get to Mickey was smart and quick thinking. I can't wait to see more of him.
Again, the defenders have to step up with the goals. No more excuses for any forwards, including Son. A "world class " player should be capable to play as a striker if he play on LW ffs.

What I will say is regarding Van de Ven. What a player at his age and his first season in an elite devision. I am sure there will be some elite managers... cough cough asking a lot of questions in house as to how they missed this player. I know the ones and everytime I see Van de Ven play. It puts a MASSIVE SMILE on my face thinking... Suckers, he is ours.
The question is, how long will he be ours ?
This forward line outside of Son is Brentford level... Ange needs to get some actual wingers in

We haven't been able to finish all season! So any games where we could of sewn it up in the first 20 mins but we didn't then we go off the boil! Even Son hasn't been good regardless of his many goals he's scored. Him scoring so many has been more to do with Angeball creating lots of chances than him being on great form. Most of our goals have been tap ins, we don't have any one except Sons and Lo Celso who can score outside the box. We really need new players in many positions!
Yep the front players have had their chances and good god they have been found wanting - ALL of them !
Spot on Sean. If we put 2 more of those chances away people would be saying we dominated and thrashed them.
Sean please rewatch the game and then give an assessment of Porro’s performance.. Sure he scored a good goal but come on he was so greedy probably 3 or 4 wrong decisions which frustrated Sonny especially.. If Porro was playing for Pep he would have be berated for being selfish !!

Brennan Johnson at 47 million epitomises how poor the recruitment still is at the club !! So many average players at club in squad and on loan .Millions wasted .Totally unacceptable!!
Not sure how you can say Angeball isn't the issue when Burnley really didn't try and negate our attacking game like so many other teams have and although they did try to counter attack they rarely managed it. Sure our players were lacking in final pass-not just clinical finishing clever incisive chance creation, most of the time they hit crosses they never looked to see if any players were anywhere to receive it
As for Porro yes indeed he should be played in an attacking role, he's an awful defender but can be a clever attacker when he is on form
Funny how a game with two great goals was also a game that had so much poor attacking creative play littered with poor passes, crosses and attempted shots
First season at celtic, i think Ange team played this way, and the players were tired but the second season Celtic improved. I am prepared to give Ange a chance.

We should stop this nonsense of giving names to any balls, be it Ange ball, my balls, or your balls; it's absolutely unnecessary.We should instead give Ange Postecoglou, our manager, the necessary time to implement his style of play and strategies. Building a successful team and implementing a new playing style takes time and patience. By allowing Postecoglou a few seasons to work with the team, we can assess the effectiveness of his approach and make improvements as needed. Think you’re right on the attack. Arsenal are benching Martinelli Jesus, city grealish doku Alvarez when out of form. We don’t have the variety or depth to rotate for form and fit to the situation. We get more players to challenge for starts (and keep them fit) and we should find ways to score a lot more
It is the problem. His style just won't work in a league where even relegation fodder know to defend the width of their box.
It's also deeply worrying that so many players who have shown they can be very very good, have declined this season under Angeball
I'd also keep Ritchie for another season. If you saw what he did for Brazil in the qualifiers for the world cup you will know there is a really quality player in there. The goals he scored were flashy and brilliant. However Werners highlights are full of quality too. I think mindstate is so important, Richie got so much better after seeing someone and Werner is clearly in his own head but he's capable of brilliance so something needs to be done before we get to see that brilliance in the prem!

The problem is our players arnt very good, the only ones id keep, Ricario, Maddison, Odoge, VDV, Porro, Romero, Dragasin, Bentancour, Sarr, Bergvall, and Son Id get rid of the rest, terrible, u could also keep Bassouma but he never does anything. so max id keep 12 players

Please do not over complicate the issue, we should start by comparing our passing accuracy stats against the likes of City or Arsenal, we all know they will be way off and we all know this will be Ange and his staff's repsponsbility. We have seen NO improvements, chances missed by Son and Madders in particular nowhere near it. Johnson's confidence issue is a worry AGAIN. No Improvements on the passing week after week, Ange what we doing about all of the above in training !

It's the players. Teams with top players win titles. It's not rocket science. Jose had the best players at all the clubs he managed, except Spurs. Same with Conte. If you put either manager at City, they'd do very well. Spurs will not win anything until they go out and get the best of the best.
It would be very nice. It’s gonna take several years to accumulate that kind of squad, but it can be done with more acquisitions like VDV, Udogie, Sarr under a maverick manager like Ange.
@@CoysMastersonAnge will not have years to build a squad. Players like Romero, VdV, Udogie could get impatient waiting for success. The bigger clubs will come calling. Walker, for example, got the call from City and it's paid off for him. Teams around Spurs also will not stand still. We relied on Kane and Son for years, never built around them. Ultimately didn't win anything.
@@sof5930 Good players come for good managers… I believe Ange is one. He attracts young and hungry and punches above his weight. This is the only way a team like us can claw back to the top. OR… there’s no hope.
Get rid of the midfield except sarr and son is only affective on the left wing and brennan needs to play down the middle and the rest needs to go..... porro needs to play at right wing and our gk needs to bulk up and then he can just move anyone who tries to get in his way or he can go too ...... we need to beat city and hopefully get top 4 and forget about the scum from down the road and it is disappointing to hear people say they hope city beat us and that will mean the season will be a success by stopping the scum from winning the league...... only top 4 can be considered a disappointing but a blessing if we are going to evolve and move to the next step ..... any spurs fan who wants us to lose to city needs to stop and really think about what that would mean to our growth..... Then we need two rbs then. One of better quality to replace porro moving forward and then cover to give the new rb competion.......and cover for udogie too.
I cannot see this fascination with stopping Arsenal winning the league. Who cares who wins the league if it isn't Tottenham. Arsenal our local rivals or Man City a club who's cheated it's way to the top, either way it doesn't matter.

It is an issue with personnel, not just with who stays and who goes but the player's roles and positions as well. Could be some of the issues can be sorted with coaching certain players into different pisitions and roles, especially when regulars are unavailable.
