Hurricane Nicole - Vero Beach, FL - CLEAR EYE

We had a planned vacation in Savannah and was off so a family friend and I drove down a day early to intercept Hurricane Nicole.
This was Alex's first hurricane and it was quite the experience!
We got to Vero Beach just as the very outer bands were starting to pull through. The sea was angry, the winds howled, and the rain was driving.
Hurricane Nicole made direct landfall at our location with 980mb measured. The eye was completely CLEAR where the full moon, Mars, Orion, and the rest of the night sky visible. It was amazing, especially since it was such a weak hurricane! Onto the next!
