You probably telling the truth. You never know who people are until they actually tell you.. I was at a Concert and Lebron's James mom was standing right beside me. I didn't even realize it. I thought she was a regular chic until my cousin noticed her and said something... Look totally different in person.. way smaller stature than you think..
I lived in Port St. Lucie many years ago and this town was really bad then so thanks for the updates. You are the most amazing couple. Number 1 fan....love from Cocoa a.🙂💖🌄

My mom is from Gifford/wabbaso. Right across the causeway there’s millionaires and million dollar houses.
Yeah its a weird place. I remember when i got in trouble in Naples my parents sent me to this area to “calm down”… probably just got worst lol - well anyways a hurricane had came thru and knocked down half of the houses along the coast.. it was soo cool you could literally walk inside these mansions that the side facing the ocean had got wiped away and the other half was still there with furniture and all! It was awesome. Good memories out there and yes there are huge homes.. some of which were destroyed by hurricanes!

So true. In high school my homies and I did everything together. Got in a ton of fights with other crews and swore we’d be together forever. NOT ONE of us talk to each other today. Don’t know where they are at or what they are doing. I’m 30 and life moves on. Be lucky to have one real friend in your life

Jose - for us Vero-ans, the lack of growth is a feature and not a bug. We could use more industry, but outside of PSL, the Treasure Coast is an anti-growth area. The cost of living and inflation have been rough, but most of us bought our houses for >200k. The rest of Florida is moving too fast and getting crowded. We still have abundant fishing and natural resources. Professional services are in high demand. But you’re right, if you’re looking for somewhere to move in Florida to get established, Indian River County ain’t it.

@@nicholaslovett6248 i used to live in palm beach gardens from 98 to 2001, i loved it but now its too crowded and waaaayy too pricey, but i love vero beach, yeah,its got its sketchy neighborhoods, but its also got plenty more nice areas, i love the nature,te parks, being outdoors, i bike everywhere so its perfect and i can easily access Sebastian, port st lucie, fort pierce and more, i like the fact its not over populated and overly flooded with industry, we have a lot of medium and small chains as well as mom and pop / family owned type things which we need more of, we need a balance of that was as well as bigger industries, but we dont want it to end up a huge over crowded metropolis like so many places have become.

Back in 2003, me and my family used to live off one of the apartment complexes off of 49th street. The area between Gifford and Wabasso seems to be growing the most in the Vero Beach area, but the inner parts between US-1 and 58th is definitely the slumps of it. It is kinda weird though because it's very affluent along Indian River Drive. We ended up moving over to Vle.
I like Vero Beach as a city but there are areas there that definitely need to be worked on. Great speech as well. I just graduated a few years ago so it speaks to me.

jax has horrible crime and the locals are hostile at times. Tally is safer, but its just a college town lacking the culture and food jax has. has has more fiber and culture to it. tally is just.. bland and boring

I was too poor for Prom high school but I'd met and married a hard working "nerd" as he was called by the cool kids. But he worked hard in school and eventually got a good job with a government entity. That place had rubber chicken dinners and community awards events and such so one night I was sitting at a banquet table and laughing hard to myself because I had on a sparkly dress ( one I could not have for prom ). I was seated at a very pretty table talking to ex governor this, Mr. Senator that, Congressperson Dude, a lady Judge Whomever, Sherriff what's his name, blah blah blah. I knew what street I grew up
on but they didn't so I just acted cool and confident. I looked em in the eye and talked to them like I was really some body. I retired at 53 too after years of taking care of the same relatives who'd made my prediction that I'd never be anything. I think it's funny that "Mrs. Nobody" has mingled with big wigs. I have worked side by side with my Nerd but I never expected that sort of thing. Now we are saving up for assisted Living and stuff like that.
The first will last and the last will be first. My father came from a poor family of 12. The dad worked but drank up all the money. Everyone called them white trash that would never amount to anything. 9 became millionaires, 2 did just fine, and 1 didn't turn out. They left their home town, made money, came back, many of those who called them white trash wound up renting from them or working for them.
I love to see my hometown born and raised in Gifford on CZcams 😊

I disagree. I lived in Vero forty years ago, and I went back recently for a visit. Vero was sleepy for a long time, but lately it has grown a lot. There has always been money there. Unfortunately Gifford is another story.
Compared to other places in Florida the growth in vero is nothing

i live in vero beach and i love it, there is a ton of things to do, its beautiful, most people are very friendly, its pretty safe.
Shout out from 44th street gifford, the struggle is real, but the people here are good and its a faily safe town. I enjoyed the video 👍
