Ive got a 1983 200e i bought with a broken pull cord. Everyone said this would be a pain to repair but it was actually very straight forward! Thanks👍

This was pretty helpful considering the rope on my three wheeler just tore

Wow ive never seen anyone order OEM rope lol. I just use some nice tight braided nylon rops from a hardware store. The ripe thats currently in my recoil is nearly a decade old at this point 😄

Thanks for the video. Just brought home an 84 200S tonight and the cord snapped on the 10th pull. Mine didn't have the 3 thin springs between the dogs but they retract just fine.

My pull ropes always breaking. I'll put another rope on. Just push-start first start. Cold engine kills rope almost breaks arm.

Oh yea that’s a pain to do I’ve found that it sometimes works to wind it as tight as you can and put a pair of vice grips on it to hold it while you get it in there
