I Bought an Abandoned Honda ATC 110 3 Wheeler | Can We Get it Running?

- We recently acquired this little Honda 3 wheeler that has been sitting - not running for many years. Today we try to get it going again. These were the predecessors to the Honda 3 wheelers that eventually became banned in the US because of the unstable nature for inexperienced riders (Which is Me).
This guy will be mighty useful running around the ranch.
So let's tear into it and see if we can get the Fun Ten going again.

I just might be trading for an 87, 110
My first three wheeler was a US90 in 1973... Rode the tires off of it..

@@LostCauseRanch my husband flipped off of his upside down,hit the ground, he blamed it on the nut not being torqued to specs to save his embarrassment, he stood there with his joe dirt look.
Merry Christmas! I remember when they first came out! We all called them Three Wheelers! They were all the rage and were super popular. Then we heard about kids having accidents where the their legs would slip off the foot peg and the rear tire would drag them off. Some of them built guards to prevent that but then they got banned!
A little before my time when they were popular in the 80s. Did have a family member selling Hondas back then when they recalled them though, crazy. After a couple minutes on it, I can see how they could cause trouble for inexperienced people like myself.

That happened to me growing up. I didn't lose my leg but it hurt like hell. We called our 3 wheeler bloodstain 🤣 it was extremely fun though and dead reliable. Once we worked out the physics we could really shred that thing safely. I understand why they stopped making them but I sure do miss them.

Appreciate you following along! Defender will be driving around at some point in this coming year. Hopefully sooner than later. No big life changes planned so should just be able to work on it.
Use a glass jar for your small parts in the cleaner , fill it with the cleaner solution, put parts in and drop jar in sonic cleaner.
Used to love riding those three wheelers here in the UK, don't see many about now.
I’ll have to save a little yogurt jar or something. That would be much nicer than my little plastic paint cap haha. There is a few of the 3 wheelers around here but not many.

make sure to have a cotter pin to hold the castle on! i had a whole hub with the tires come off when i was riding because i didnt have a cotter pin
If I remember correctly, that may end up being the 3 wheeler I used to have as a kid, that one also ended up at an auction

Nice! I have an '85 250R, an '84 200s, and today im about to drag home a 110. Not sure what year it is, but that don't mattter to me.
Do all the 110's have a HI and LOW range?
Those wooly boggers looked like they were gonna hold air for ya! Id put tubes in those bad boys, they look like they got a lot of crusty tread left!
Basically a Honda cub with 3 wheels and a bit more power and a lot more dangerous! Lol.

Man that is rough haha. After being on this thing I could see not needing any help from someone breaking a leg on it.
But man I guess you made it out pretty lucky getting it head on with just the leg.
So... Now I need to get the 185 Running so we can go Crusing!!!
I just need a couple tires and weather to steady to dial the carb and I’m good.
I finally just got mine running but when i start it up it like max revs so pushing the throttle doesn't do anything since its already at max rpm and when i put it in gear nothings happens at all any idea on what it could be

These trikes were not dangerous, people who rode them were simply kinda careless.
I guess I would agree with that. It is just a much different riding style than a 4 wheeler.
