I like the review and I decided to go with a pair! That said, this video seemed to have a much more negative feeling overall than I think was intended give what was said. I think your feelings about the orientation issue (which as you noted is a personal choice) may have bled over into your overall enthusiasm about the headphones. Regardless, the info was great!
I wear my headphones like that to when Djing I think its a perfectly valid point I'm glad you bought it up and appreciate the advice. Ive seen a lot of review vids on the m100s and no one has mentioned that in any of them well done.
Try pulling the broken wire connecting the 2 drivers through the top behind the lovely grey mesh cloth. It's like it was glued in. Had to run an external wire held in place with lovely white electrical insulating tape to get the right cone working again. So much to the idea of sturdy headphones.
I tried the band across the forehead orientation with my pair (which has the xl pads) when he said it. Both with the band across my forehead, and behind my head, the sound quality goes out the window. I wouldn't recommend these headphones to someone I knew was going to use either of those orientations. That being said, there's no reason not to wear them normally. (Sorry for Necro-posting, but I wanted anyone else who might have that question to be able to see an answer.)
The M50x is a lot more balanced and lighter than the M100's and the earcups swivel a bit so they're technically a better fit for DJing, even though their studio monitor status makes them a better fit for producing. While the M100's are excellent with mixing, I think Val made these DJ friendly but focused more on consumers considering the LP and LP2 being a bit popular with consumers (the previous two were pretty bassy and exciting in terms of sound profile, something the likes of Beats does all the time). You won't go wrong with either one however.

+xGUDDAx I really see no point to wireless as the cables are detachable anyway and are a cheap replacement, not to mention the fact that they're made of kevlar.. but I guess maybe if the cable isn't long enough for you..
Attention, don't buy this product!!! Good sound quality, comfortable and very good looking. But once they stop working, garbage. Roland don't provide spare parts. Unless the customizable shields will do the work.I have the M 100, and i love them, it makes me angry not to be able to use them again.

Francesco Morello LPs don't fold. They are more bassy. Less close to the actual music.
Does it gets dirty easier?
Yeah I know people think it's a shitty complaint but honestly I find the inability to swivel THE reason I'm going with HDJ 2000 mk2's over these.
Space to me that doesn't matter. What matters to me is sound, comfortability and ruggedness.
