    When I saw that the M-100's had two lead slots, I smiled widely and I'm now going to grab a pair. I hate having headphones that have the cord only on the left side. Both sides are a little annoying, but I got used to that.
    Not only that, but I can just replace the lead as many times I want, which is fucking great. My biggest issue with headphones is I break the jack accidentally. So I keep having to cut off 5cm of cord to solder on another jack.
    With this, I don't need to worry about my cord getting too short. So that's sick. :3

    I agree Phil with the coiled cable concept, and for the price tag $300 they should give you the option. Looks like a good design, steel banding and compact storage mode. Nice review

    I can see what he is saying about the coiled cable. A standard cable will always be the same size where a coil cable can extend if need to be. Coiled cables are heavy but it's a con and a pro for both. Coiled cables won't be everywhere at anytime.

  • @whatthedileo
    @whatthedileo Před 7 lety

    I completely agree regarding a coiled cable. I tried to use the straight cable for ONE gig, and vowed never to do it again - The cable got caught on a piece of gear under the table, and nearly ripped the M-100's off my head. I ordered a coiled cable the next day.

  • @dcdriveinn
    @dcdriveinn Před 11 lety

    I prefer straight cable headphones for DJ'ing. I don't like it tugging on my head when I move around the booth as the coiled cables expand. The coiled cable also feel bulky to me. I've used a Pioneer HDJ-1000 and Technics RP-DH1200 (both coiled cables) for a 2-3 years each. Right now I have a Beyerdynamic DT-1350 (straight) and I'm really happy with it.

    The M80 are on-ear, whilst the M100 and LP2 are over-ear, so yes the earcups of the M80 are smaller.

  • @blance44
    @blance44 Před 11 lety

    The M-80's are very small on the ear. They're considered to be on ear headphones while the LP2's are over ear headphones, much more enjoyable of a listen and more comfortable. If you can't get a pair of M100's, go for the LP2's

    i have a question since youpersonally tried them, how do they perform at 30-40HZ? does the bass shake your head? is the bass clean? i recently bought skullcandy crushers, couldnt be more dissapointed with the product because they only play up to 50-60hz, anything higher or lower sounds distorted and quiet, please let me know thanks!

  • @Vaadim0
    @Vaadim0 Před 11 lety

    So, I'm a DJ and I already own a pair of Sennheiser HD-25 ii but I need a more bassy pair of headphones. I've been looking at M100 and LP2. Are M100 really worth 110 bucks more you pay for them? As I can see, the only thing I get is the folding mechanism and better high's/mid's.

  • @bensgames
    @bensgames Před 11 lety

    The LP and LP2 are marketed for DJ's more heavily then the M-80 or the M-100 ...

  • @digitaldjtips
    @digitaldjtips  Před 11 lety

  • @kabur88
    @kabur88 Před 11 lety

    I'm considering getting a pair actually but the only ones that seem to be sold in my country are the M-80's and the LP2's. However I noticed something with the M-80's, they don't cover your entire ear and instead rest directly on your ear. I'd like to know if the ones I was looking at were actually a bootleg copy (bootlegs are pretty common here) or are the M-80's really smaller than the M-100's and LP2's. Thank you

  • @zconiglietti
    @zconiglietti Před 11 lety

    are they "loud" i mean do i have enough power to play with at the top? not asking about the sound quality, just pure simple loudness?

  • @MatthewGillespiedj
    @MatthewGillespiedj Před 11 lety

    So if I was to spend the extra $100 for the M100's, all I would be paying extra for are different cables, a cleaner bass, and a compact travel feature. If that is correct, I think I will just settle with the LP2's.

    Guys
    ATH-M50x or M100?
    Mainly for DJing and also A LOT of casual music listening. Studio work/production - almost none.
    Love ultra deep, warm and enormous bass.
    Coming from Sony MDR-XB700, which in my opinion are amazing (just not fit for DJing).
    Please advise. Many thanks

    i have a question. i owned the beats studio and now own a v moda m100 wireless. i heard the beats studio has an builtin amp and the v modas dont.
    i listened to the modas and in my oppinion the beats studio have a lot more punchie bass and go alot louder and so on.
    i was wondering if you used an amp with the m100s since you say they have a more punchie bass and better sound quality.. greetz.
