  • ssRNA: virus transmission gives a brief outline of the different modes of virus transmission from one infected organism to another. With reference to ssRNA viruses and their transmission to and between humans the following modes are discussed: the faecal oral route, aerosol droplets, dust particles and animal excreta, the bite of an infected animal, virus-infected arthropods that feed on mammals, virus-contaminated needles, viraemic blood, sexual transmission and congenital transmission.
