    Glad to hear all went well while in Maryland. This video gave me a great idea for when we visit RMNP next year. Instead of going to Estes Park and dealing with all that (not that its not nice) camp south of the park and travel into the park from the south. Still partying with the Amish in Lancaster. Be Safe and Be Well.

      We went Estes Park for an afternoon and thought it was nice but probable won't go back. The campground did look nice though. Sounds like you may be going to the Hershey show. If so let us know what you think. If your in Tampa for the RV show in January we'd love to meet up and maybe have a cocktail or two. Safe travels to you as well!

    So excited to see your daughter. She is beautiful. We hope you feel better. Dogs are more and more of an issue on the road. So many out here with no leases. Poor Tucker. I'm glad he is ok. I see a lot of dogs leased and left alone. The bad people's dog should have to be put down. Are you worried about the park filming? I'm making notes on this park thank you. Did you get the lifetime pass? The waterfall.....I love it. Is this video before you were sick. I could tell Katrina did not feel well just from the way she was driving the Jeep. Dream Lake is gorgeous. I love the beginning of the video where Katrina came in, flipping her hair and then even at the lake she slid in like the cool chick. Now who films Katrina and keeps her in check her and Tucker when Chris flies away? Lol I can't believe we didn't get to see your son lol.

    • @oureverydaygetaway
      @oureverydaygetaway  Před rokem +1

      Thank you! Makes me sad when I see dogs left outside without their owners. Not worried about filming in parks as of right now. We may change our minds in the future. We got the yearly pass. Didn't know there was a lifetime one. This video was filmed about 6 weeks before Chris got sick. LOL, you are too funny! Tucker and I did absolutely nothing but watch chick flicks take puppy walks and drink some wine while Chris was gone. Ryan our youngest is a little camera shy. Not like his Dad!😂 Stay safe and take care guys!🧡

    Glad the checkup went well! What an amazing place! Don’t even get us started with bad dog owners and not keeping their dogs on a leash! Our Maya has been attacked twice in the last year by dogs off leash in campgrounds. So maddening!

    "all downhill there, coming back it's all uphill".......I've always wondered why they don't make those trails downhill both directions, would be much easier hikes I would think! :) CONGRATS on check-up buddy. Have y'all been anywhere near Loveland, CO? We spent a week at a working ranch there back in '81.

    As for the dog owner, as they say “you can’t fix stupid”! Traveling back for appointments is not fun but it’s better than the alternative. I have terminal Stage 4 lung cancer and after radiation, 5 different chemos and my oncologist telling me we have only one more chemo to try, my tumors decide to just stop growing and are kinda just hanging out. So what did we do, we sold the house, bought and RV and have been traveling every since. It started off that we had to make trips back to the oncologist every 3 months for scans which can suck but beats the alternative. And we just finished my year and 6 month follow up since my last chemo treatment and everything looks good so the Doc put us on 4 month follow-ups, yeah me! The hardest part to deal with is I am required to have my port flushed every 6 weeks, and it is almost impossible to find a place to get that done, but that is not stopping us from traveling. The biggest thing I have to add is never give up and enjoy every minute your way because you cannot buy back time, and should’ve gets you no where!

      Big hug on getting through your cancer treatments. It does stink but your doing what you want to do when you want to do it now. Thank goodness you have the chance to see the country and enjoy life. Very well said our friend! Take care and enjoy any day you can getaway! 😊

    That is just horrible. But sadly, we are hearing more and more about dog attacking other dogs in campgrounds cause they aren't being supervised correctly or leashed. I know it's hard as a dog owner not being able to take them into the parks. Some NP have a Bark Ranger program that will allow them to go onto certain trails, but they don't all have one. RMNP is just beautiful. We really enjoyed our visit there. Congrats on a great doctors visit; even though it's a pain to fly back. We have good friends who live in Mancos.

    Nothing frustrates me more then dog owners to that don't follow the rules, pick up after their animals. Hopefully the golden lab is doing better. Really enjoyed seeing your trip into RMNP. We didn't get to that side of the park when we were there. We came in from the west side and explored that half.

    • @oureverydaygetaway
      @oureverydaygetaway  Před rokem +1

      Our plan is to explore from the west side next time we're in the area. Beautiful park anyway you look at it. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment we very much appreciate it. Take care and have a wonderful week!🧡

  • @JarheadAndGingersJourney

    Our dogs are always on leash but we’ve had other dogs run up to them and Hairy doesn’t do well when approached like that. It’s so sad people can’t follow rules. I can’t imagine having to fly back for dr appointments. Scott doesn’t ever want to fly again after all those long trips between Japan and US.

    • @oureverydaygetaway
      @oureverydaygetaway  Před rokem

      When we see dogs at sites that aren't on a leash we walk the other way. Just an accident waiting to happen. Flying stinks but it's better than the alternative.🧡 Stay safe and take care. Hope Xanadu is feeling better!

    First off, I am very sorry for the bad pet owner experience you had. Years ago in TN, my husband was barely able to save our leashed Pomeranian from an attack by a much bigger off-leash dog. The campground owner drove us to the vet (Easter weekend, no less) and was very apologetic, but it was a bad scene. Our Buddy almost died, and had complications of infection along with his stitches, so it was horrible. My husband would sleep on the floor right in front of his cage nightly - I was almost afraid I’d lose them both. All that pain and trouble due to thoughtless and selfish people. 😡 I am glad Tucker was unscathed but sorry he could not hike with you. (Probably because the park does not want any incidents with unpredictable wild life.)
    Unrelated question. I have a trip coming up and was wondering what camera you use and how easy it is to use and edit what you put online. I have a high end Canon video camera, but it would be impractical for use during this particular trip. Any info you could give me would be much appreciated, as I enjoy your videos so much - it seems I am right there with you! Feel free to contact me in any manner you see fit. Safe travels.

      What a terrible situation the owner of the off-leashed dog put you guys in. Your poor pup. Nice of the campground owner to drive you guys to the vets. Hopefully he paid for the incident as well. We use our iPhone 13 and Gopro Hero8. Pretty hard to edit at first but if you watch some CZcams videos on editing it gets easier. Whenever Chris can't figure something out he goes straight to CZcams and watches the how to videos. Hopefully that was helpful. Chris answers all the questions through our Instagram account if you'd like to talk to him directly. Thanks so very much for watching and prayers your pup has a long and healthy life. Take care and safe travels.😊

    Unbelievable-And having that many dogs in a small camper or any RV isn’t fair to those dogs either-That is way to many in a small space and no yard -we have a corgi and we never experienced these dog problems but we have had problems with those goat head thorns getting into our dogs paws -very painful so be mindful of that when walking Tucker around those RV parks 🚌🇺🇸

    • @oureverydaygetaway
      @oureverydaygetaway  Před rokem +1

      Tuckers had a couple thorns, thankfully we took them out right away. Not sure how the campgrounds/parks can police the dog situation but something needs to be done. Everyone including our fur babies need to feel safe. Thanks for watching! Keep safe and enjoy your journey.😊

    Some dog owners are just not good parents, usually they raised kids in the same manner. Selfish , self centered jerks. Seems to be theme these days among people in general, they have no care for others, it’s sad really. Don’t get me wrong the good probably outweigh the bad, but the bad ones stick in our minds. Just take a drive around see how people act on the road.
