  • In this video we experience the solar eclipse and offer a bit of warning about glasses. Are they necessary for the eclipse in its entirety. We leave MD and drive to Makanda, IL (Little Grassy Lake Campground and Marina) for the event.

Totality in Maine. Agree, It’s an awesome experience. Glad you got to go. Can’t wait for your Alaska footage.

  • @rdrose61

Thanks... FYI, Grassy Lake had the "vibe" of a public campground because in essence it is. It is a National Fish and Wildlife campground (Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge) run by a concessionaire.

  • @walterrafolski5662

Thanks for letting us share your adventure, eclipse was amazing and Chris was really excited! The best shrimp are from Georgia.

  • @raoulroberts

    "I didn't know!"

  • @KAW5

Fun video! Looks like Tucker likes the drivers side better! 😂Thanks for sharing!

  • @TheRoadSMITHS

It was such an incredible Eclipse. We were fortunate in North Texas that the early morning clouds cleared. We saw totality and the best part was we had our grandkids with us to experience it.

  • @LoCleTXRV

I see that Tucker has picked out the prime traveling spot. You had a much better viewing location that I did here in Texas. It was overcast here, then cleared just as it started and then 5 minutes later it started down pouring. An hour drive away they had a perfect day for it. We were able to see the one this past October in Port Aransas, and immediately after that one we had to leave the campsite because then next guest for the spot we were in at the time were arriving. Thanks for sharing.

  • @WaywardWaggs

What an awesome experience! God willing, we'll be alive and in the path to catch the next one, so that'll be nice. Very cool footage - thanks for sharing it with us!

  • @cathymisze3163

I went to Bloomington IN for totality. It was the most incredible experience.

  • @juliannesouth8382

In 2017, N W Oregon, we were directly in path of totality.

  • @sherrymerkley5

Twice in a lifetime for me. We traveled to Kearney MO in 2017 and this time we sat in our backyard. Literally got the Twice in a lifetime T-shirt as a souvenir. Awesome experience both times.

  • @frankmabry6560

    Have a safe trip ya'll....

  • @nancyrojas1926

I watched from Chicago Ill. it was amazing and beautiful!

  • @Luv2Bhitched

Wow. Welcome to our neck of the woods. Wish we had known you were coming. Would have loved to meet you guys. Glad you enjoyed it. You should come back here in Southern Illinois sometime and we can show you some of natures beauty.

  • @sherriweber7105

Glad you made it to see the eclipse. I saw one when I was 8 years old. In Michigan when I lived there. My friends and I were swimming in a friends pool and my friends mom told us to get of the pool because of the eclipse. We have have proper glasses on at the time. So we quickly got out and went into the house. We didn’t want to go blind. But I can image it was pretty cool to see if you had proper glasses on then. I saw Chris’s face and yours too Katrina. I could tell you both thought it was amazing. It looked amazing on camera. You got a great shot of it. We could see part of it here in Vegas. It went dark for a bit here too! I heard the totality was awesome to see and look at. My brother who lives in

  • @SomewhereInTheSun

Leigh Anne and I had a blast with y'all once again! It was so fun watching your reaction at totality. Chris was just like a little kid on Christmas! We're blessed to have you both as friends and are so glad we crossed paths with you again last year at the lake in Nashville, where we came up with this grand plan to meet back for the eclipse. We can't wait to watch you experience your trip to Alaska in your upcoming videos! Love you guys & take care... Shawn
