I remember traveling the same area during peek season. Super busy with tourists. I stop to see the bears and these tourists wanted to get close to the bears. Photo op. I said “lunch” loudly. Someone ask me why I said that. Others laughed. Well that’s what the tourist will be if they get too close to the bears.
You guy stay safe. Great views in that area.
We are very thankful we went before it got crazy crowded. So crazy how some people try to push their luck. Well that is until it runs out!🤣

Thanks for sharing your adventures and sightseeing! You are allowing me to see all the things I couldn't see last summer due to crowds. Even if it's a bit cold, you are so fortunate you chose to visit in the spring! I actually had to drive from Jasper to Banff non stop because there was no where to pull off anywhere! The entire 3.5 hour trip and every viewpoint, parking lot and campground was completely full with no parking available. So much for traveling with your own restroom (class c)! The glacier looked so amazing. I did notice that facial gave you a nice red tinge.
Oh no, sorry to hear that. We kept telling ourselves the same thing as we were cold but had such a wonderful experience being able to see and enjoy everything with little to no crowds. They all came back with a little glow from the facial. Not sure but it could have been the beginning of frostbite!🤣 I know my limits.😁 Thanks for taking the time to watch and leave a comment. Glad to see they finally put seatbelts in the tundra buggies at the IceFields. You can now say from experience that “the wind was so cold it felt like it was coming off a glacier”. I’ve been at the IceFields when it was +31c…. Hot..Hot ..Hot .. but the wind still had a chill to it. I’ve only been there once when there was no wind. It was a beautiful moonless night with not a cloud in the sky. Just stars everywhere, it was also -40c. Happy Trails 👍
Now that would have been Amazing to be there with no wind, moonless night with no clouds in the sky. Thanks for sharing.

One of the best videos that I’ve seen on the glacier trip! Chris, I could totally hang out with you on that glacier it’s 98 degrees in n South Georgia right now. I’m with Katrina give me a parachute while on that glass! It’s got to be nice to share this trip with friends, did y’all ever consider a caravan trip for a group? Thanks for sharing this adventure!
Chris said to tell you to come on up! There will be more Amazing adventures to be had! A parachute is not a bad idea!😁 We're in the early stages of planning a rally for early spring/late summer of 2025. We've had a few people ask that question. If we had enough people wanting to do a caravan we'd definitely consider planning one. Where do you think would be a good area to have caravan would be?

You can't beat the scenery up here but I "Katrina" could go for a cocktail on the beach right about now. Have a cocktail or two for us and enjoy the warm/hot weather! 😃

Enjoy watching people video going off to the columbia icefields, never did this tour, no desire cause back in the days skiing was my thing instead, but now I'm so sick of snow i could live the rest of my life never being in it or seeing it again...but dam it returns every year 🤨 lol. 🍻
Totally understand. Being from MD and dealing with cold, wet, snowy and icy winters we totally get it. Being in Canada we had to do it. Once in a lifetime. You have a beautiful country!

I so appreciate you showing me the beautiful scenery that I would never see in person. There is NOTHING on my bucket list that involves being in cold temps and snow THAT late in the year (or any other time of the year either) And the chance of Lyn getting on that skywalk is way less than me getting prego! And that glacial facial is just nutso!

You are so welcome! I could see Lyn and myself back on the bus sipping wine and laughing at all the fools giving their selves glacial facials! As for the skywalk I completely get it. We all know who the nutso person is in this relationship! Just sayin! 🤣🤣🤣 I'll hang out with you guys any day down south sitting on the beach enjoying the sun and waves.

Hey! I just saw you guys today! I was going to say hello but didn’t want to startle Katrina. Another great video. I really enjoyed Jasper! We were there a few weeks ago. You didn’t miss much at Lake Louise. Only crowds! The lake on the way to Homer is more beautiful than Lake Louise. I drove up to the glacier before they closed it off and saw it at a distance. I drove by the skywalk… that was good enough for me. I wasn’t walking out there ! We saw mountain goats in the area of the skywalk… I enjoyed that!
No way!! You should have said something! I "Katrina" have gotten into something and have been dealing with multiple issues for a couple weeks. It's gotten so bad I had to break down and go the the local medical facility this morning. We were on our way to pick up my prescriptions, a few groceries and maybe some alcohol.😉 Nothing contiguous just a allergic reaction. Sorry we missed out on the opportunity to meet you and say hi!

I have to say… I had a feeling that I would see you guys on this trip and I was very excited to see the rig in the parking lot! Maybe we’ll see you again here … even though Alaska is huge… we all seem to be making the same rounds as visitors here 😉. We are here until September. Our cell service has been spotty so sometimes we aren’t able to check messages on a regular basis here. Everything has exceeded our expectations as well! It’s definitely an experience that needs to be seen in person. I feel like our photos don’t do it justice.

just take a pair of needle nose or regular pliers and squeeze the connector jaws closed lightly
to make them tighter and hold better.

Great video! I would love to have gone on the glacier and the sky bridge. You definitely got lucky on the water pump fix. For anyone going to Alaska I would highly recommend bringing a spare water pump. Getting a new one up there won't be easy and being out of water just sucks! So who are you caravanning with?
Thank you! Thankfully it was an easy fix. We are traveling with friends we met in FL a few years ago. Bonus is one of the is a certified rv tech. 😊

I "Katrina" am one and done when it comes to the skywalk. Glad I walked out there but don't need to do it again.🤪
Send us some of that weather. It was 105 ° here in Virginia yesterday.
With 100% humidity!🤪 Being from MD I'll take the heat anytime. This girl grew up working in greenhouses and doesn't like the cold at all! Give me a cold beer and a picnic table full of hot steamed crabs. Life is good!
Katrina couldn't hang with the cold...haha...quite frankly I don't blame her...did you get facial shrinkage with the Glacier Facial? Skywalk looked very cool.
OMG, I don't think I've ever been so cold! There was NO way I was slapping ice cold water on my face then walking through the wind back to the bus.🤣 Chris said he'll never tell.🤪 A little expensive but would recommend to anyone going to the area.
lovely that you guys got to see a moose. there aren't many in the park due to disease that went through the herds a few years ago. did you get to st Mt Robson in BC? biggest mountain in the Canadian Rockies

I’ve never been to Jasper but my daughter and I have been to the Matanuska glacier in Alaska. You hike onto it. I thought about our Alaska trip when you showed the moose. I’m sure you will see many in Alaska. My daughter lives in Fairbanks and moose often come in her yard. Will you be going to the Kenai peninsula? Many moose and bald eagles there. Really enjoying your Canada/Alaska series. We have flown to Alaska but never camped on our way there. Hopefully next year!
That's Awesome! We'll be in Fairbanks middle of August. We'll be in Kenai at a friends place mooch docking for a week or so fishing and enjoying the area. Can't wait! If you love to camp you almost have to do this trip at least once! Have a great summer and enjoy anytime you can getaway!
The moose in Alaska and the Yukon are way bigger than the moose we have in Alberta. Those moose up north are huge !!
Alaska is amazing, however not an Eskimo here..Way to cold for me.
Let's just say next year we will NOT being seeing any of this white stuff! 😁

Nope, just for one.😲 Thank goodness we've been doing a lot of boondocking.
On the glacier do they advise no sneakers?
Yes, hiking shoes/boots are suggested.
