A few weeks ago we were camping at Pickensville COE Campground in AL. We went out to watch a barge going down the Tenn Toimbigbee Waterway. We were standing in back of our RV, on our own site when our neighbor's German Shepard charged at me from it's site. I got a good bite on my arm requiring a trip to Urgent Care, a tetnus shot, and 3 stitches. The owner told me that she controls her dog with a shock collar but she took it off to charge the battery and just left the dog out. Of course we reported it and the hosts called a ranger to come in. She was annoyed when we required her to produce a record of the dog's rabies shot but after three requests she finally produced it. Her husband and kids were so upset. Her little boy was crying and apologizing. He was traumatized by what happened but she never even came over. The good thing that came out of this is realizing how many great campers were in this park. I had so many people checking up to make sure I was OK. They were awesome. I'm sorry for this long story but I really wanted to share it after watching your video.
So sorry to hear this and glad you’re ok. Shock collars can create aggression like this. As a trainer, I see it all the time. Stay safe.
Some dog owners are stupid
I am so against shock collars. Some horrid trainers using those to train. Makes me sick to my stomach
Your experience is why I always carry my 9mm, just in case. A few years ago, I was walking my shelties in the Phoenix area, when two pit bulls (not on a leash) we coming at us in an aggressive way. I was ready, but to my shock, our shelties did not back down, and at the end of the day, the pit bulls were very loud but not aggressive.
We were lucky, but you always need to be prepared for the uncertainty of what could happen,
First off, love you MJ and your views/advice on dogs and the humans that are responsible for them 😂 We have a 55 pd, 10 yr old pittie and an almost 9 yr old, 75 pound German Shorthaired Pointer. They never cared about small dogs barking at them before...until we started camping. Unfortunately it seems the majority of off leash dogs we've run into are small breeds. So many times we are walking them around the campground and a small dog will run out at them. Our pittie is how you describe Sierra, she doesn't look for trouble but if a dog is running at us, she silently jumps in front of her brother and us and stands her ground ready to defend her family lol! We just got back from a trip to SC (we're from OH), and we had the dog next door wander onto our site as my husband was backing in! I had to get out and get it to go back to its own site so we could get in and as soon as we were it came back over so we had to go ask them if it was their dog just to be able to get ours out of the truck safely. It wandered over several more times and the guy finally came over ....to ask where we got our dog fencing lol!.... and I try to nicely say we use it because you never know if a dog will react to another dog and we live in a rural area so they aren't used to other dogs running up on them and in their space and he says they also live in a rural area and " they jjst always let their dog outside so that's what she's uses to and they've had some people at campgrounds that don't like it because she wanders over to their site but she won't hurt nothing" 😔 I probably should've offered him our fence and just used the back up tie outs we bring lol
Unfortunately we are now having to teach our dogs that not all small dogs will run at them barking and growling as they've become very anxious when they see small dogs now because of the amount of times it's happened, so because of other people being rude and not following what seems to be common sense but also a rule at pretty much every campground, we are training our senior dogs on something that was never a problem for them. It sucks for those of us that try to respect others and love our babies and try to protect them!
It sure does. So many dogs suffer because of humans. :/ Thanks so much for sharing your story. 😃
We are team Super C. We like three doors, mor rugged platform and towing a Jeep. I have driven trucks and had a pick-up since I was 15. The super C just makes sense for us.
Hard to find good diners or deli in many parts of the US. I'm from the west coast however, my family is from PA and NY they know how to deli!
SUPER C!!! I have Thor Chateau on a Ford 550 Chassis easy for both of us to drive.
Absolutely seen this and experienced the same issue. I hate that people do not have their dogs on a lease as it is required at campgrounds.
Never happened while camping, but on a school out snow day, I was walking my dog below the damage where the kids sled, dog off leash came after my Border Collie. Scared the 'stuffing'out of me for sure!
The Mountain View Chalet is a great place to eat at jug town mountain just east of that campground
When camping, we never ever take our dog out without a least. We have seen many dogs loose without a leash but have been fortunate than none have been aggressive. I love your tip about taking treats just in case.
As many people have said we have also had loose dogs run to us but fortunately all have been friendly. While we currently have a class A similar to yours we definitely love the Renegade Super C. Keep up the good work. We try to keep to 30 feet in length and have not found a super c that we like in that range.
Great video again just like we are having an in person conversation… I like that.
13 state parks with camp grounds here in North Dakota I want to camp in all of them before heading out cross country. Every state has its own treasures if you want to look for them. The same goes for the incredible national treasures in America. I have no desire to visit other countries… well maybe Canada it’s close. Thanks for sharing your adventure.
i feel so bad for the dogs that their owners don’t have them contained properly. it’s a huge safety risk. we stayed at an rv park in prescott and unfortunately that seemed to be the culture, tons of off leash pets including one huge dog who ran right up into our RV. thank goodness he was friendly cuz we carry and wouldn’t think twice to protect our kiddos. just crazy cuz it all happened in about 10 seconds
As always, thanks for taking us along on your travels. See y'all on the road!
You bet!
We neighbor with 2 dogs off leash, which came barking and running at a small group of our family all the owner kept saying is she doesn’t bite. Luckily my son was able to grab up his 4 yr old granddaughter. The campground rules state no off leash dogs. After we left we called the park director, we did not want to have any repercussions from the campers.
Y'all are such an adorable couple! I enjoy EVERY video ya'll have posted. I've also learned a LOT from ya'll. ❤
Thank you so much!! We appreciate your support. 😊
we have had two parks that we quit staying at once the resident population increased. It seems when they’re staying there for months they start to treat it like their own backyard.
I totally agree with the treat throwing as a first line of defense. But I also carry gel pepper spray just in case it gets serious. Sabre makes a tiny canister that is easy to carry and I get the gel because of wind. I have to say I’ve never had to use it but if my dog or myself are threatened I would not hesitate.
It has happened to me also in a RV park. I was walking Ellie my Pomeranian and got charged by a large aggressive dog that came from inside our neighbors rv. It made a big ruckus and the Manager with other people saw it. The owners of the dog got a swift talking to.
People who have or care for animals should have more consideration for others and their own pets or they don't deserve to have a pet.
I have witnessed what a pit bull can do to a 4yr old.
Sorry for the rant but it's serious.
🥲
We travel with our 3 dachshunds all the time. We are going on a long trip out west this May with all 3 fur babies. I constantly run into campers that think it is okay to let their dogs run loose. I went camping a few years ago at James River Campground a state park in Virginia. A person camping near us let the dog out and it ran off into the woods. I heard this man out calling for his dog until midnight and the next morning when they left the dog was still lost. People should be more responsible.
The dogs look so cute in the back of the car. I always keep my dog on her leash to keep her safe.
Thank you
After being a loyal Endless RVing subscriber for a couple years, I’d wager money that Jason could polish off that burger in 20 minutes. He needs to bulk up for Liberty.
😂
Great video Izzy and MJ! Glad you all are ok from that ladies dog. Cute and nice that Sierra protected you.
Ya I don’t know people just can’t learn to put their dogs on a leash. I was almost attacked by my neighbors dog. Without a leash. That’s a cute restaurant you went to. Sorry I don’t ask too anymore about the puppers. I should but I don’t want to keep bothering you on asking. Kiss the puppers for me. Such cuties! See you both soon!
Sorry for the long-winded comment lots of subjects to cover in this great video. We had two Pits like you guys do. For those reading my comment there are no bad Pits just bad owners that do bad things with them unfortunately. Unfortunately, our two did not get along for whatever reason so we had to keep them separated. They were both old so I decided I think they will be fine now. They were at first then they got into it over a piece of food. This was totally my fault not the dog's fault. It never crossed my mind that would happen over food, and it should have crossed my mind. It was very hard to get them to stop fighting, I was the only one home at the time. When It comes to Pits age don't matter if another dog is aggressive toward them and attacks them, they will fight like a young dog. Those of you reading this please don't think Pits are bad dogs they are not. They are one of the most loving, protective, none aggressive dogs you can have. Both have since passed due to old age. Glad to see your fur baby is cancer free. We had a Pit mix that had snout cancer. Was removed twice, came back a third time at that point nothing else we could do but do the right thing. For us it would be a Newmar Class at toy hauler because we have a motorcycle. I am surprised more people don't buy toy haulers even if they don't have any toys. Just the extra storage space is awesome. The space can be used for a extra bedroom, storage, cages for our four-legged family members, golf cart, E-Bikes. Possibilities are Endless.
Thanks so much for sharing. :)
Some people just don't have any dog etiquette, always good to be aware. We have a 2021 with the V-8 F-53 and we insulated our doghouse, made a huge noise and heat difference. You will definitely feel the difference in the summer months, Great videos, keep them coming.
Thanks for sharing and watching!
I vote Super C all the way. In the long run more economical. We owned a Prevost years ago, repairs are really expensive.
We've had similar happen. It's usually the seasonals that don't follow the rules. I'm team Super C.
So scary.....we have 4 little dogs. 7 up to 24 lbs. We did have a stroller but they all do well on leash. It's so frustrating when your in a place where your dogs need to be on leash and other people don't do it. Our little guy one year was attacked at a dog park we were members of. Two weeks later we were walking them on leash on a trail. And a dog came from no where and went right for him. Thankfully not only was he leashed, but with a harness. I was able to pull him up to me while my husband grabbed Willow. And kicked at the dog. A human came around the bush say "oh hey sorry man" I can't repeat what my husband said. But geeze be if nothing else practice for your dogs safety leash them
Looks like one of those campgrounds you can leave your camper there all year long. We have done that a couple of times. Helps with being able to get more camping in if you really don't have the time to take camping trips. Love my EV we have a 2022 Bolt EUV. Love not having to pay for gas with my 96 mile round trip commute to work every day. If I had it to do over again, I would have gone with a Tesla the charging infrastructure is there for charging across the country. Chevy dealers are starting to put in fast chargers for their EV'S. Dealer down the street just put one in and it's free to use for now, always free if you purchased the EV from the dealer.
I did that to my doghouse, last year, and it was a real game changer! No more fried calves!!!! And much quieter. I hope you have good results!
Safety first...... My dream RV of course is the super c
🙌
We are Team Super C! Renegade Verona LE is on our wish list!!! My MJ, and I like your taste, MJ! 😂
Woohoo!!
We were at a state park over spring break. There were several dogs without a leash on even though it is in the rules. I heard one owner say that his dog will stay right beside him. However, the dog wandered over to our campsite. My dog was not very happy having another dog in his territory
I wouldn't be either lol Thanks for sharing.
I use to live in the lake area of New Jersey, Landing. I love Warren Co. The Delaware water gap. Great area.
I saw my next door neighbor attacked by a dog, knocked down and suffer a concussion so bad that he temporary lost memory of what happened.
I, too, retire in 511 days!
We have two Westies (3 &11). Our 11-year-old Westie has been camping with us since he was a puppy but for the past couple of years, he has become anxious whenever we turn on the stove/oven, heater, or the fireplace. The last time we took the RV out our vet gave us CBD calming tablets which did nothing for him. We aren't sure what we should do going forward when we embark on the next RV trip. We have also encountered an issue with a neighboring dog as I was setting up the RV. She came into our site, running around, sniffing everything and luckily she was friendly enough but we just kept our dogs in the truck until she left. She was a beautiful Pittie and later we found out from our neighbors that she crossed the river from another campground. I love the fanny pack idea with treats because we have encountered unleashed dogs on a walk and although we carry a walking stick and pepper spray, I think MJ's idea is a much better solution. As always, safe travels!
You too!
Since I’ve been resubscribed I have not been unsubscribed. Getting notifications too!
Good!! 👍
Super C Renegade Ikon. Come on lottery.
🙌
486 days for my retirement!!! lol You're right., YOu can't beat diners in NY/NJ area. Even upstte NY isn't good :( I'm at our cabin north of Syracuse and there are almost no diners around here. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching! When we hit the road most time, we will definitely be on the lookout for good diners. :)
Class A diesel for me. Lots to pick from new or used if money does not matter.
If you had Jason with you, that 100lb Burger would be toast.😀😀
Maybe
Team Super C Renegade, absolutely !!❤❤
Having stayed in RV parks of all levels from east coast to west coast, border to border, we have seen way too many dog owners who believe their dog is “special” and the leash rules “do not apply” to them. Too many times we have had our leashed dogs accosted in our own camp site by unleashed dogs. Too many times we have had dogs charge us while walking our leashed dogs on common roads. Too many times the owner of the problem dog is unrepentant of their negligent supervision of their dog. Our dog “Bitty” is 18 years old and “Mackie” is 14. Both are smaller dogs and will still fight to the death protecting us. Nobody needs this indefensible lack of common sense, common courtesy, and defiance of safety rules.
I have no experience with diesel pushers (new or used) but based on what I read in the forums - they suit mechanics with deep pockets (especially prevosts) - and I am neither. We like your current Newmar! We have been 5th wheelers for a long time and recently bought a 04 Fleetwood Southwind 32VS workhorse chassis to see if we prefer motorhome travel. I love to look at pre-def luxury pushers but they scare me. I intend to learn to work on and maintain the Southwind. I retire in July. We enjoy your videos.
Hey youse guys still subscribed and notified ok at this end. Wow gotta tell ya you’re driving my old stomping grounds brings back so many memories. Warren Co had so many builder projects I used to consult on with architects I was all over that area. Another great place not far off Exit 6 or 7A I’m forgetting now is Mercer County Lake Park. Really huge park/lake picturesque with walkways. Glad ya ducked the crazy dog whew some dog owners. Diners oh my word! Hope and flippin change blew us outta Juhsey to Central Pa and guys, this is like a culinary pergatory food ain’t good. They take a slab o meat throw it in a pot to boil and call it cuisine. No spices, no salt, nada. This is awful for me whose travels turned me into a food snob, but I digress sorry. Anyway on the query if money was no object, Izzy, my brudder as a retiree of some years always remember a happy wife, is a happy life, heh especially when retired if you get my drift. If you wanna you can borrow my “crow” bowl anytime brah. Hey happy trails…. Sarge out😎
😊
It's happened to me so many times now It doesn't bother me I will use a Command Voice and and say stop. It usually works so I will continue and if I need more then I will use more. I refuse to run anymore.
A friend of ours had a leashed kitty. It was killed by off leash dog. So sad.
Super C..Renegade!
🙌
I used that under the hood were you can get under the dashboard and it really helped with noise and heat
How frightening! You made a good point, what if you had a child with you?! My husband stopped his morning runs in our neighborhood after two very aggressive dogs came after him. He yelled out “whose dogs are loose” and someone casually whistled from behind a house to call the dogs back. Crazy stuff.
Team Super C for sure. You just can't beat the safety of that giant engine and all that frame in front of you.
Maybe a video on things we can do if treats not work? I am all for that but not sure it will always work. Then what?
Pepper spray
Yikes, so sorry that the loose dog tried to attack you and your pups! How irresponsible that dog's owner was! Bowser and Sierra seem like really nice, calm, sweet dogs, they didn't need to have this added to their lives, neither did you. We often see many people with dogs at RV parks, but we've yet to run into a situation where dogs are let loose, unleashed. We always keep our two leashed in RV parks or when traveling, don't want them hurt, don't want to lose them, they are family.
Love diners, they always seem like very interesting places with great cuisine.
Izzy, adding insulation to the RV doghouse should really help cool and quiet things down, I know people who have applied similar material to cars, it's very effective.
I'm in the middle of doing a full application of Rejex to our coach in preparation for an upcoming trip to Asheville, NC. Lol, what was I thinking, this is a ridiculously huge job! Hoping that it will help prevent the forecast huge swarms of cicadas from sticking to it.
A Super C certainly has some advantages over a Class A, MJ, but not as much room for #stuff! Always enjoy your videos, you are wonderful people! And looking forward to your retirement and "most timing" adventures!
Yes the rejex is a huge job. We paint corrected and sealed this year. Over 14 hrs of work. I broke it up over a few days but it’s well worth the final product!!
Super C !!!!! 😍😉😉
I know you are looking to bolt NJ after retiring. As a recently retired NJ resident I would caution you to look hard at the costs of other states you are considering. I haven’t found a cheap place to live in other states. All have caught up to NJ, we just have the reputation
Our home in another state would be 65% of the cost and 1/10th of taxes. Additionally, it’s much more than the cost for us and why we are leaving.
Check out the 2025 Newmar Super C’s. Wow!
We don’t even let our two Yorkies run around off leash at an RV park or campground ever. They are super friendly but I don’t want them frightening anyone and I don’t want anyone to have an excuse for hitting or kicking my little boys either. I just don’t understand why people are too lazy to keep their pups and neighbours safe and relaxed.
We also hike that area a lot of times. I take my done out there as it is beautiful.
It really is!
My neighbors-have a German Sheppard they have NOT been training/socializing as they should. I and multiple neighbors have called the police-who have been out multiple times. I cannot go outside without this dog barking aggressively at me. Our houses sit side by side-this dog can't see me until I am at the end of my driveway. However, it hears me, and starts barking, aggressively. I can't go out my own front door without fear. I carry bear mace with me, at all times. I have 12 security cameras because of this dog and it's owners. Something bad will happen! I am well aware of the law, nothing can be done until this dog attacks-off leash and off of it's owners property. What a way to have to live!!
Such a shame. :/
Always carry treats but also pepper spray. Our shepherd is a rescue and does not like other animals and if they charge her it’s on (she doesn’t start problems).
Our old pooch, that we lost last year at 15, could only go for about a 1/2 mile walk. I’d take our other 2 for about 3 1/2 miles then come back and get the old lady.
😍 so sweet
That is one of my biggest fears because I walk my cat (really my cat walks me) I wanna be sure I keep him safe. He’s always leashed, I’ll be sure to keep dog treats and maybe something stronger if the treats don’t work. Any recommendations?
Renegade or Newmar Super C.
Currently checking every listing I see. Hoping to find one as close to “perfect” as possible…
Super C.
When walking my dogs I’ve started carrying a fanny pack with treats, citronella spray and bear spray. If the treats don’t work I’ll move to the sprays.
Yep 👍
Dogs are out of control. My Mom was walking her Dog - and three Dogs attacked leading to blood loss and a huge hospital bill.
not a dog owner but a former jogger... carry pepper spray... dog walkers near me carry a baseball bat... not for the shy and faint of heart. glad no attack... other critters are always present, too.❤
I see it in my neighborhood which has Short Term Rentals (STR’s). The STR renters haven’t a clue!! My Belgian Malinous will attack! It’s what she was trained to do.
Has this happened to me? 7 TIMES BY THE SAME DOG! I had a neighbor who refused to leash her dog! My wife and my daughter both got injured 2 different times trying to get our dog away from this crazed animal. One time the dog ran to my backyard and tried to break in the screen door to get my dog, and we were around the corner and apx 8 houses away! Until it bites a human animal control doesn’t do much, but I managed to get the owner on video and she received a fine! Had another issue with a different dog, always off leash pooping on my lawn. We lived in a HOA, they were also useless! Needless to say, we moved! I GET INFURIATED WITH OFF LEASH DOGS!
It’s so inconsiderate. :/
We also eaten at the Clinton Diner. Good diner food there.
Delish!
Haha. The Super C…I called this 2 years ago!! 😂😂😂
😂😂
@@EndlessRVing I’m not sure I ever told you guys…I grew up in Jersey..!! 😂😂
@@TwoCaptainsOneShip but you were smart and left 😂
@@EndlessRVing uhhhh, you do remember where I moved to, right? Great camping on the water but after that…this state isn’t much different than Jersey…Blue as blue can get up here.
Hands down…used Prevost!
I have not but I hope I never do
Love your shirt 1776
Super C is the only way to go.
Where did you get your fun white jacket?
I've had it awhile, but I think maybe Amazon!
Wondering letter 02
Team Super C! MJ would look great driving one 😊Poor dogs. I say that because stupid humans are the problem, not the dog. Teach them, socialize them and yes, use a leash. If you want them to be outside in your camp, use a long lead attached to your rig. Sierra is looking awesome glad she's doing ok.
Thank you 😊
Team Super C, for sure.
Yea!
Not sure how close you are to Englishtown. But Old Bridge Diner is outstanding
That’s kind of far for us, but maybe if we’re in the area, will check it out. Thanks for the suggestion!
Izzy and MJ when you get your new coach will you have a 50amp plug put on it so you can charge the Tesla with generator on the coach?
Perhaps
@@EndlessRVing maybe you could plug into the campground power to charge possibly.
I have seen other channels say that people have been unsubscribed as well. One is a sailing around the world channel and they haven’t posted any content from a police officer’s point of view.
See it quite often, plus the ones who leave them in the campers alone (in campgrounds forbidding this). Aggressive dogs, dogs that will not quit barking. Some people just don’t care.
Unfortunately not.
Yes this happened to us with our granddog. We were out walking him on a leash and a German Shepherd came out of no where, grab our dog and threw him. Keep in mind our dog was only7 pounds. The o owner of the shepherd tried to down play the incident saying his dog was only playing with our dog.
Horrible. :(
Just about every campground I have been at have dogs that are allowed to run loose or they are on a flexi lead so not really under control.
It’s a shame.
I get so tired of people not having their dogs on lead. We always have ours on lead and every place we go to where it is a campground, multiple families do not have dogs on lead. They come running out with no lead to see our dog but i don’t want that for i don’t know them. I find more than one dog from one family many times they can gang up. We are 70 and we just can’t have that. I could fall. Once, on a little walk along a circle and 3 times we had dogs come out. They get after their dogs but same thing happens on next people walking a dog for still loose. This gets old. So what happens? We have to sneak our dog out and try to find a path to be by ourselves. We also many times leave our dog with a day camp person who also boards at home. i wish we didn’t have to but who wants to spend all their time watching out.😢 Debbie
Not for nothing, the dog isn’t going to clean up after itself either.
Super-C
Used Prevost
😩
Wow, kinda scary, our little girls would stand a chance against an aggressive dog.
So many times. We carry tasers now. Our dog is 15 lbs and stands no chance. It's my number one fear as a full time RVer.
Have to protect yourself.
Yes we carry a medal taser baton, clips on to our dog fanny pack. Fanny pack has room for dog treats too, love ur suggestion! Also going to add small fog horn (to clip on). Do u recommend a good medal taser baton? Love to see a video on best ways to protect from attacking dog(s).
People know if they have an aggressive dog. They should leave them the hell home.
I don't want to sound negative but I myself loved Super Cs. I have a friend that was a Service manager for RVs for over 25 yrs and he informed me that Super Cs are the worst you can purchase that is why I am going to buy a Newmar King aire!
That’s complete opposite of what our motorhome mechanic told us. Wonder if they sold Showhauler?
@@EndlessRVing This guy was a service tech, He didn't say if it was a Showhauler he just said he would not recommend a Super C. It had nothing to do with the chassis it was all about the structure of the build over the cab. Stress fractures that would end up cracking and leaking it just not built the way it should be is what he informed me of. He was a soldier of mine 35 years ago and went into they business and still there. I don't feel he would say that without there wasn't an issue. Everyone should buy what they like. I just wanted to post what I have been informed of.
@@mikeobrien2831 we appreciate your sharing. 👍

Dogs r predictable and at times not so much... was walking my dog years ago on a walking trail, on lead and on heal... highly trained dog i might add... so much so that no matter when crossing paths with another person/dog he/we always do a sit stay until the person freely passes... that said, this person saw how well our dog was in control and even giving a friendly dog tail wag... surprisingly and without provocation my dog lunged forward and took a little bite at the person's leg... thankfully no harm except for the surprise response from my dog... not that's it ok but i've always said n believed dogs know when a person is not a good person or have an ill intent... so despite my surprise I believe my dog was reacting to a possible bad situation... anyway, yes dogs should be on lead and under handler/owner control at all times ... glad ur dogs/or u guys we're not harmed
Yes, there has been research (Kyoto University) that shows dogs can sense "evil" and people who have not so great intentions. lol
newmar Supreme Aire !😉
🙌
Why I carry and "Baton" when walking our dogs among other things, 🤔 My wife carries Bear spray.
Our 10 1/2 year old lab was diagnosed with a partial tear of his ACL. We see the surgeon on April 18. Wish us and him luck. Did you feel the earthquake?
Sierra has had a partial ACL tear for years and we decided against surgery and she has done wonderfully. Good luck with whatever you choose. Yes we definitely felt it.
@@EndlessRVing we didn’t do the surgery with our Jack Russell but our Lab can’t put any weight on it so we feel as long as we have had to wait to see the surgeon it might have turned into a full tear.
