- So, after a number of questions relating to my previous FOV video, I thought it was about time I did a spot of research and got it right... And boy what a difference it makes if you've been using the wrong settings, not that mine was miles away in all fairness.

Me personal I just love wide angle fov , because is the way I see my car in the real life , in my real car I see both mirrors easily
Our mind compensated for motion and perspective, but the correct FOV (give or take a bit makes a big difference. I didn’t realize the difference in FFB timing to our hand and eye coordination. That was a really good point. Thanks 😊
Pops Racer Thanks for the comment. It really did take me by surprise how different the FFB felt once I’d changed the FOV to 90. I can’t even comprehend how it must look set at 100. 😳
Look to apex set to about 75 and G-force set to about 20
Appreciate this mate 👍
You have it perfect.
Your kinda late to the fov party man,we all figured this stuff out years ago but glad you finally got it!
Florida Custom Mowers cheers man but it’s more to give others an idea on what their doing when they first buy the game.
Usually most people search for settings and setups etc.
That’s why people like myself put these videos together.
Look on most sim related channels, they all have them. This is probably the 3rd FOV video I’ve done and I doubt it’ll be the last.
@@jaysysumakaRatMaster3 yeh that happened to me game was so hard till i changed to corrrect F,o.v recently being new to sim racing n only having a wheel for about a month feel like ive spent most that time fiddling with wheel setting more than anything tho everything fell into place when i change the fov to its correct settings. this was the missing key element so to speak! ;)
Thank you for the video
You’re welcome 👍🏼
Thanks for the video, really helpful. I have a question that may seem silly, with which keys do you move the position of the pilot?🙏
You’ll need to assign them in the controls menu. I use a keyboard with the game and can assign many keys for all the seat adjustments.
Try reducing max. speed sensitivity to like 105 or 110 max and it will not manipulate the fov so much. I felt better at 100 for min. And 105 for max. If your min speed sensitivity is not 100, your fov setting will not be matching the recommendation because it will reduce the actual fov.
My distance to the screen is similar to yours and fov of 58 seems like a good number. Also instruments are displayd fully for most cars on the bottom of the screen, which I really like because I like to turn off hud except mirror. I just modify the seat position a bit depending on the car.
Also g force I felt better at 25-50, higher value seems unrealistic since in real life the driver has sports belt and doesn't move that much, especially when shifting , and shaking value at 75 seems also best for me personally.
Ill take a look at these settings cheers bud 👍🏼
Can you remove the in game hands and wheel as you don't need them with a wheel
Yep, this option is definitely in the menus 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
And what if your TV is not so close to the wheel?
Kamil Rybicki Then it’s still relative. If you use the calculator in the description to workout your screen size and the distance the tv or monitor is from your eyes from where you usually sit when racing 👍🏼
Im 1,5 meters away from the screen xdd
Use the FOV calculator in the video description
