Genuinely didnt think id say this but i think its time to fully commit to the asseto corsa series
sad though they could really fill a gap on console: ie sim for Touring cars, f-cars, road cars, GTE and more tracks than ACC etc..
Learn how to fully mod the original AC, There is a absurd amount cars, tracks, and graphics mods that could easily rivaled ACC.

The first trailer we seen was horrible, this one was even worse!!! They actually thought turning off all the assists and showing a car over-dramatically drifting around every turn would get the sim racers excited about this game. I think I’m gonna be sick!!!
I helped fund PCARS 1 and I was playing it before it was officially released and it was NICE, however, I have since moved to RaceRoom:)
It's a real shame, I love PC2, still playing it today, however this looks a massive step back. Roll on ACC
To be fair to the "sim" video, the original poster pointed out that the car is specifically set up for drifting. Also Chevy and other american manufacturers are known for the very plastic interiors on high sports cars, which this is the road corvette, not the race car. That being said, it does look more arcarde. The speeds he is maintaining while drifting are pretty crazy. I don't have a problem with that as I can enjoy a good arcade/simcade racer, but it is a serious branding issue. I'm looking forward to it as a "simcade," mostly because it brings something that is seriously missing from the XBox, and that is a racer with skill based match making based on safety and skill. I'm also jumping into ACC for that reason, though I worry that the population on the XBox will be too low and that the gates into the competition server are so high for the average racer, that regular racing online might be a ghost town.
Time will tell... just one more week to go 👍🏼
Hi Jay. I actually was filled with slightly more optimism when I saw this video although I don't normally do drifting (as I can't!) I assume it's a road corvette and they are cheap and plasticky on the inside any way! Still, will be interesting to hear some reviews when people actually get their hands on a copy to test. Congratulations on the 1K subscribers btw. You'll have to do an uplifting video on PC2 or AC to celebrate and cheer us all up!!! 🍾

Hello again. I did watch a gamer muscle video where he was advocating radical style cars vs GT3. I have since had a bit of fun in the radical SR3 in PC2 and also the Lotus 2-eleven (the basic one) in AC. Maybe you could do a video on either of these?
They dont understand! They would rather sell a shed load of arcade shit than make a genuine good game. Their real mistake is that they wont sell a shed load as there are already plenty of arcade style racers out there.
Why are you comparing the handling of a road car in PC3 to a race car in PC2? The PC3 footage looks similar to (if not better than) equivalent road car handling from PC2.

Well as long as we dont see the numbers, we shouldnt judge them. Probably hardcore sim driver market is too small so they go the Arcade path, developing a game is still a business rather than art.
Thank God ACC is launching soon so I can keep driving on my xbox
I might give them the benefit of the doubt on the VFX and the audio. It's a work in progress. That might be improved. The game might even be running in lower settings if it's not fully optimized yet. A lot of game design work gets finalized closer to the release date than before, now that they aren't launched on disc (so no copy needs to be sent way in advance to get manufactured).
But still, just looking at the game play, it's disappointing, especially since I love PC2. The game play doesn't look AS bad as the previous footage, but it's still not great. I think PC2 tried to hang on the fence between arcade and sim, which is why it was not nearly as realistic as other sims. Unfortunately, it seems like the developers attempted to make PC3 into a Forza clone.
I guess only time will tell 👍🏼
If you have road tires that you can't put temperature on, with all the aids off I'm pretty sure the car behave like that. I have PC2 and it looks similar.
The plastic interior, well, is an American car so is pretty damn accurate. Lol.
"No car should handle like this".... err he is purposefully showing over the limit handling by drifting on purpose.... Comparing this handling to pc1 is flat out wrong. It did not have over the limit physics at all.... this clearly does. Listen I dont want all the bells and whistles either (or the ridiculous motion blur that tries to convince u that u are doing 1000mph) and the jury most definitely is out still.... but this vid from a handling potential perspective is actually quite positive. Try doing that in iracing.

@@jaysysumakaRatMaster3 2000 Hours between pc1 and pc2. I was totally gutted when I saw the announcement vid. I hope it can still do what I like from pc2 but just better. Trying to get my head around what they are trying to do.... needs some internal processing heheh! I am hoping for the best but preparing for the worst. Glad I have acc and iracing still in case it sucks as much as we all fear it may.
If you’ve got iRacing & ACC then surely you’ve got the option to try so many other sims?

SlowBloke well you’ve certainly got plenty of choice unlike us console uses... My hope is that ACC plays beautifully on console, so I’ll have that at least then back and forward to pc2

Yea......Still not convinced it's not going to be more Forza/Grid than PC2/AC. I would assume they are showing the best that they have, and if that's the case then wow, the car interior looks flat (and if it's realistic for that car as suggested, fair point, but they are indeed slightly mad for picking that car). I think I am going to just accept it is not aimed at me, which is completely fair, but they better bring their A game as the new Forza is talking a strong talk about getting more realistic (perhaps SMS are aiming to fill the original FM space as Forza are now aiming at the PC2 audience). PS. Video running perfect smooth for me here.
I never thought I’d see the day where I’d consider buying another Forza title... Who knows lol.
Finger crossed if I ever get around to buying a pc I can get rid of the post production stuttering which I think happens between the Xbox the pc and my iPhone.
I prefer to edit on my iPhone 8 Plus than using Divinci on the pc, I’m not massively into pc editing and it just feels so easy on the iPhone. 👍🏼
It's just a cheap Codemasters racing game. I wouldn't be surprised if it had the UI of a console port like their F1 games.
Unfortunately I still think the game will be surprisingly good for some reason, and all our wows will be quickly forgotten once we start playing.

Tbh I just want a game with good physics but also a tonne of road cars, I thought pc3 was going to be that... :( Acc and automob2 look good but there aren't any road cars and I'm honestly not interested in FIA gt3 racing
Understandable, the content will be minimal but hopefully the racing will be good. There’s always PC2 to fall back in in my mind so as much as I’m gutted about there not really be a new pc3 to look forward to there’s always something else to keep me busy till something better comes along.

Pcars 3 will be different sure, but i'm looking forward to this. And to be honest pcars2 wasn't a real simulation either. There are still more accurate racing games out there.
Guess we have to wait until we can lay our hands on the game for the final verdict

Not on console! And PC2 was a very good base sim game to build on so PC3 would be the sim everyone wants on Xbox and PS. PC yes a few games out there but still doesn't mean the newer version has to keep getting further away from the original idea of a title. Like you point out theres other sim racing games well there's alot more arcade racing games than sim. Arcade players have lots to choose from CM even make Grid so they have arcade racing already, F&F is coming out, there NFS games for days. Think you missing the point on why the high % dont like this idea in PC3.
Try Automobilista 2 instead, if you want a more realistic PC2.
I’d love to if I owned a gaming pc... just on console for now so until it arrives on console I’ll make do with Pcars2, AC & ACC when it arrives later this month.
Garbage is what this is, its not anything special. How could they do this to their fans. We never needed Project cars to become Arcade game. This is what happens when they go after money

Paul Fraser I posted a very similar comment on the Facebook page a number of days ago. Such a shame if the game looks no better after release.
I done the exact same thing as you jay, seen the trailer thumbnail and thought “yes let’s go” then watched it and was greatly disappointed with the arcade effects, I don’t own a high end PC and use the Xbox with my wheel setup and only have AC and PC2 for great racing fun (PC2 having the better weather and graphics) so PC3 being arcade like is a huge disappointment and let down for us console gamers.

I just wish they’d taken the Project Cars name and left it where it was with Project Cars 2.
Develop an arcade game but just call it something else. Rebrand it.
Same here too. They could have used the game to make this into a new title but then strip it back get realism in there and build from PC2 on the sim route for PC3 so instead of try to please everyone in one game and finding a balance just make 2 games sim PC3 and this as a new title for others to play. They want new players and new players to ease into the sim world then again the 2 game method would work you play this game until your confident and learned how then move to PC3 for sim racing. I get their idea but trying to please both sides in one game wont work and its what happened to Forza. See Forza could let Horizon be the fun game and go full sim on the motorsport version when F8 comes.

Jay Sysum a.k.a Rat Master 3 just had my first couple of online races on PC2 and it’s infuriating, shameless rammers and blatant cheaters, I’ve just posted two clips of 2 of my 3 online races so far and it’s shocking
Yeah sometimes you’ve got to be careful with others... it’s sometimes better to start from the back to stand a chance at avoiding the first corner pile up... or qualify first and hope you get through turn 1 before you get hit. So few people actually use the rating system.
I like watching your videos, however recently your videos have a lot stuttering. It's making them almost unwatchable. In terms of the content why would anybody want to drift around a race circuit like interlagos. I dont get it and probably wont be buying the game.
Yeah I can only apologies for the stuttering, I guess it’s something that goes on during the capturing and editing.
I’m not using any high end pc to capture, just straight from the Xbox to a hard drive then from there to a pc then on to my iPhone to be edited in iMovie.
Believe me I also find it a little frustrating when it stutters like it’s buffering.
Think I’ll try purchasing a solid state drive to see if captured better.
You're being awfully critical of graphics when we're watching beta footage, they still have to optimize the game. SMS goal is to not overwelm the casual autosport enthusiast gamer. The realism is still there. You just have to option into it. Sorry man, I’m just seeing a game that doesn’t deserve to bare the same name as the 2 games which came before it. Fair play if they want a slice of the Forza market and are changing focus but don’t go calling it Project Cars 3 when it’s clearly a total different game.
@@jaysysumakaRatMaster3 It is clear they have changed directions being the absents of Off-Road Racing. Whether it deserves to be called P CARS 3. That is still remained to be seen. Lets get our hands on it first. My thoughts are give SMS a chance to optimize. The Sim community needs to embrace subtle compromises that will keep us variety of titles to race on.
I agree that initial reactions to the title, mine included, have certainly been of disappointment based on very limited footage. But, seeing the currently available footage it’s very hard not to be sceptical about the quality of the end product. I guess only time will tell.
For me, the name of the game needs some serious consideration which would appease the hardcore fans that first put them in the position to create a third title.
The hardcore fan, in my opinion has been pushed aside to make way for a new generation... Anyway, we could go round in circles all day on this topic.
Let’s just wait to try the demo & then decide whether to make a purchase.
I've seen some bad takes on PC3 and this is well and truly the worst one. When ever a game is announced that has some sort of racing element the sim "community" jump all over it and drag it through the mud because it looks "arcadey" This happens time and time again. I don't feel comparing this to the previous PCARS titles isn't really fair, after watching the trailer it's clear that the devs are going in a different direction. Of course some may not like that and that's fine, Y'all wonder why devs don't make "proper sims" look at the ones that are currently out there and how much people bitch and complain about them. This community is notoriously impossible to please and for that you only have yourselves to blame. Please realise that this is an incredibly niche genre that not every dev wants to pour tonnes of money into. Sim elitism is the worst thing and here it is on full display. If you don't like what you see that's totally fine, I'm not going to try and change your mind. Just simply don't buy it.
I agree with the full statement. I think the fact that they’ve followed it up with naming it Project Cars 3 is what’s really got my back up.
There’s a certain level of expectation. Imagine iRacing2 I new version being released... You’d just expect more realism instantly, you’d just expect better.
Take Forza for example, Forza Horizon, a totally different game and it works well for what it is, it’s a hugely popular game. But they rebranded it, which is fine.

I’m shocked at what Slightly Mad Studios is doing. The problem tho is not in the game but in the name. Call it Project Cars “Arcade” or whatever and the sim community wouldn’t be upset and it would attract younger players. I’m still perfectly happy with PC2 and would be fine with waiting another year, maybe 2 for a proper sim follow up. But now they’re trying to shove this arcade rubbish down our throats by calling it PC3, thereby killing the franchise.
I think you’re 100% right with that... Just call it something as it’s clear NOT Project Cars 3.

I don’t even mind if it’s like Forza but just don’t call it Project Cars 3 when it’s clearly not.
It could be the best arcade racer ever and a game I pickup and enjoy but one thing it’s not going to be is the successor to Pcars2. 👍🏼

Hi Jay, game look pathetic tbh. Money grab, lost faith in slightly mad studios. Project cars 2 barely got a pass and was the best for consoles as a conplete game apart from asetto corsa. Ive moved to pc and reslised how much of a waste of time playing sim games on consoles was. I wont be buying this rubbish. Take care man!
