Most ps4 games worth getting are on pc so theres more incentive to get a pc than a ps4 or especially an Xbox one

Even though I dont think it's worth the price with so little exclusives I do think the controller looks pretty cool and majority of people have been using them separately instead of a traditional controller.

And I think this is one if their best marketing schemes. PC gaming has console emulation touted as a bonus, but if Nintendo over complicates their consoles, you won't really be able to emulate their games very well, as some functions won't be able to be emulated.
Stinson Gaming WiiU emulator is coming along well so I will just pirate Zelda next month. Cemu plays a ton of WiiU games better than the WiiU plays them.

What lego said is actually legal (in the USA, at least). If you actually own a copy of the game, you are legally allowed to emulate said game as long as you aren't running more instances than you own copies of the game. It's even more legal if you're one of the few who has a drive that can actually recognize the game disks, too.

Mic Mule, same. I'm so used to 60fps on PC, I'd rather downgrade the graphics options rather than dip below 60fps ever again. Especially in FPS and third-person games, the dropped frames are very noticeable.
Zelda is 900p 30fps with dips.

The Master System was more powerful than the NES, the N64 used cartridges so even if it was more powerful than the PS1 in raw power, that could never be reached, the GameCube was about on par with the Xbox but the Xbox was a little bit more powerful. The only exception is the SNES and that's only because it had 2 years more of development time than the Megadrive. If we look at Nintendo handhelds, they've also always been weaker. GameBoy and GameGear, DS and PSP, 3DS and Vita. GameBoy Advance is not included because it didn't have a competitor

Nintendo is the only company making actual gaming consoles. Sony and Microsoft make locked down, under-powered PCs with limited interfaces. There is a big difference. Nintendo is also solely a gaming company, and they continue to push the envelope in a way that creates unique, fun, and memorable games with experiences optimized for their consoles. Sony and Microsoft not only don't do that, they can't, its antithetical to their business model. They can't risk too much innovation when their gaming departments barely scrape by and they lose money on every console they build. In addition to owning 2 gaming PCs, a PS3, and an Xbox One, I will continue to purchase every Nintendo console, as I have in the past, to support this company, because Nintendo is still the owner of some of my favorite games and gaming experiences of all time. Just look at Breath of the Wild. Right on Nintendo! Keep doing your shit, because nobody else can.
Rather than having 3 console companies making variations on the exact same machines, why wouldn't you prefer a company that intentionally doesn't follow industry trends in order to test new markets and and gaming styles? Makes alot more fucking sense to me, and doing it with hardware and software that works together, also makes more sense.

Games are locked at certain settings anyway. If a game normally runs at 30fps, it’s probably locked, so even with a core, you will not get more than 30fps. The only difference will be in games with adaptive resolution, like odyssey, where the game would never dip below 1080p because of it. Technically, however, a core on a switch is impossible because the USB-C port on the switch does not have thunderbolt capabilities.

Well even though I am a hardcore PC gamer, I bought a switch because it just makes sense! Nintendo is so exclusive on their titles that it's worth it having it instead of buying a PS4 or Xbox which blurred their exclusivity line. They do what a pc can but shittier lol I'm in love with the switch so far.
Another point that I liked about the switch is that Nintendo left all the social media crap that some handheld consoles have like a front camera , it's just a pure gaming console
$20 bucks a year for the Nintendo thing. I know it'd be better if it was free, but 20 bucks is nothing if you have a job.
I wish there are covers for the consoles' tracks (where the joycons slide in) when the joycons aren't in place, kind of like the straps for the individual joycons.

guys I bought one early morning today and it's pretty great. the screen is very sharp and colourful. it does get a bit hot when docked but never loud. playing Zelda at 900p on a 1080p screen isn't bad either, just looks like a poor man's Anti Aliasing is in effect lol

The psp was great it had excellent ergonomics and the ability to play LAN with others. I remember rocking monster hunter freedom 2 with my brother and we had a blast.
I would love to see a new video about the same exact subject and let us all know how well do you think the Switch does and doing till now ... :)

6:35 I have a shield portable and they're amazing, it's like a DS on steroids that runs android. The hdmi port also makes it ideal for playing movies on projectors or plain TV's.

I just played the game "Fast RMX" on my Switch, and I was surprised how good it looks!
1080p60 in docked mode, and great graphics make up for some beauty.
Great gameplay, multiplayer in many ways, and it's working amazing in portable mode aswell...

For games like Super Smash bros (which i know is newer than this video) you actually don't need to be connected to wifi to play local. You can create a room and play from switch to switch without wifi.
Once they come out with either Melee HD or a virtual console version of the original, I'm definitely picking one up.

i just bought the switch yesterday and I am loving it so far, I've always wanted a 3ds/Wii u but the games library was always mediocre but the switch has some good games.
I almost exclusively used my Wii U on the controller at my desk so as long as the future line ups are good I'll likely pick one up.

Linus reviewed something called a GPDwin a few months ago on the main channel. It's a laptop in a ds form factor. I bought one and, with a few tweaks, it runs GTA 5 at a playable framerate.

Why not attach a small screen to the front of a intul skull nook thing? It would be a "little" thick but would have so much more power than any other hand-held.

That Shield Portable also had a smaller 720p screen it looks noticeably pixelated today. My 2.5 year old Galaxy Note 4 has a 2560x1440 screen that is smaller than the Switch screen. I haven't seen the Switch in person yet, but I can't see how that resolution is high enough for a screen that size. It really should have had a 1080p screen.

what i don't understand is why wouldn't they include extra processing power to the dock to upscale the resolution when the switch is being docked? its a much better solution to increase processing power. we can probably reach 1440p or even 4K with that

I think they didn’t want to complicate the whole dock-ability thing for the Switch developers. It wouldn’t be fun trying to optimize your game to support two completely different hardware-related modes that swap instantly.

I love my switch. I play it a lot more than I thought I would. Having a high end enthusiast PC and both consoles.
As a PC gamer I feel Nintendo consoles are the only consoles to get because of Nintendo wanting to go for a unique experience meanwhile ps4 and Xbox one are just trying to catch up to the pc. Plus I really like the multiplayer on the go aspect on the switch. Thats probably my biggest reason to get it.

Jeff T There's a difference between getting better technology that can allow many new things to be used (such as 3D polygons or post processing effects) and the difference between normal and ultra graphics on a PC. You can notice a difference when comparing side by side, but it's not as striking. The Switch is powerful enough to make good looking games. You don't really need to have every object shiny and with millions of polygons to get a great looking game. There's not that much to improve nowadays. Some PS3 or Xbox 360 games look good enough to be mistaken with nowadays games.
Also, many play CS:GO and other games because you can run them on any potato, even PCs from schools. Not many people have high-end PCs and play these types of games on their laptops. Anyways, the difference between graphics from 5 years ago and now aren't as striking as that of, say, games from 1999 and 2004 or 2004 and 2009.

correction* 1080p display, most games are not native 1080p on mobile. and, they're mobile games... it's a massive difference. want a really good fps game? just not available on mobile. they'll all have worse ai, controlls (even with wireless controllers) worse levels. gameplay events and so on. than a ps2 often.
