Feel so sad that Gary has to disclose his condition each video. From his videos, he seems to be the best in the business. I would be lucky to visit his surgery one day!
Thanks! We are lucky to have people flying in from all over and we really appreciate it.
I know I’m almost 60 and need my eye lift. I have to use an entire bottle of botox now! I wish I could to go to him. I’m in Arizona. My plastics guy is more worried about a psychological clearance and my signature on an arbitration agreement than educating me on any procedure. I’m an nurse practitioner if you educate me I understand and can be more aware on results and needed self care.
@@drgarylinkov YOU DESERVE IT!!!!
@@drgarylinkov Gary, you don't have to disclose your condition - don't worry about few comments. You look great by the way!
Honestly looks like a good looking guy even without any hair . If that was me I’ll look like a trash can on fire
I admire him so much, he make me believe not all doctors care only for your money but they actually care about you
Exactly right.
I find that the larger majority of physicians care more about the patient than their pay check. I hope not to be proven wrong :)
@@drgarylinkov so Doc I’ll also post in the general comments but: you can’t have ANY blood thinning foods like garlic, cayenne and even alcohol like you said earlier 48-72 hours before the hair restoration procedure just to be safe right?
I also agree that Dr Linkov doesnt care about the money. I also think that he cares a great deal about his patients. But I would say, part of that is the feeling that he does *not* care about a lot of things. Hes just the Surgeon. You want Plastic Surgery? "Sure go ahead, well schedule you". I dont know if i want filler, im quite young: "If you dont want to we dont have to, i dont care". Its like talking with an actual doctor instead of a salesman for therapy and surgery.

Erm, if you say so.
Dr. Linkov I've seen similar sentiments shared by many others in the comments but I wanted to throw my name into the pile. When I first saw a video from you and did not know you had alopecia I figured your lack of hair was an intentional choice and thought it was a really cool look on you! I don't know where you are on your journey of accepting your "new look" but if the opinion of a stranger on the internet means anything, I think you totally pull it off and are still a very handsome man! The irony that you're a hair transplant doctor is really something though lol. Thank you for sharing your expertise, it's evident that you are a good doctor with integrity-so important for a PS to have. I enjoy your videos and will continue to watch.
THANKS! Those words mean a lot.
@@drgarylinkov same first I truly thought this is a look that you have chosen to carry, later on I came to know about your condition. TBH you look handsome in this look really attractive if am being completely honest. :)
@CZcams Guy Hahah thanks man
Doc we love how you are so confident and gracious when dealing with your autoimmune issue. Wishing you the best in health.
Actually, if a lot of people watching your videos are not subscribed, that's a good thing. That means the algorithm recommends you a lot :) Subscribers count for nothing anyway, except for that youtube silver-ish sign at 100k. "Like and comment", that's what you need to tell your viewers to do. Likes and comments are the ones that will bring you more viewers on your videos.
@CZcams Guy Completely agree, subscriber count definitely does have its place even though it doesn't directly get you more views. You ideally want all three. Likes, comments and subscribers.
Wow, I just was talking to my wife after I saw your video, my bald spots growing , and I'm looking to see what options I have. Didn't expect to see you here, I watch your videos everyday while commuting, thanks bro.
@CZcams Guy If anyone would know it would be 'CZcams Guy'
Ok. I have watched other surgeon’s CZcamss. But, I love the dignity and honesty of these videos the most. Doc def deserves more viewers. I’ve unfollowed doctors who have millions of followers because of their insensitivity. I (obviously) really love this channel ❤️
Thank you!!!
Dr Gary is so sweet, inteligent and has no pressure attitude. Kudos to you dear sir. And happy new year!
If I were having hair transplant surgery, I'd definitely come to you, because you take your craft (and art) very seriously and you have a sense of humor, both very important in a successful outcome.
Thank you Patti!
Probably smart to have a disclaimer about your own hair loss, although you'd expect it to be obvious that just because you're a hair surgeon doesn't mean you qualify for or even want hair surgery for yourself.
Yes. If only people understood that. 🤪
Makes sense. I don't know a single radiologist and I've asked over 100 that got laser vision correction surgery as a resident or staff radiologist. Very good reason for that :)
You really don't have to have hair to do a good job on other people's hair yet here we are having people make ridiculous comments about this dudes hair. Don't know how his own hair affects how he works with that of other people at all.
I mean we don't expect any other surgeons to have all surgeries done they perform to believe them that they can perform them themselves.
exactly. their argument is like someone refusing to get a rhino from a doctor with a larger nose. not everyone has the same aesthetic desires
is about feeling related
One of the most random channels I’ve come across but Gary is such a professional that you can tell has a deep passion for his craft. Just subscribed
Thank you for subscribing!
Hi doctor.. amazing content as usual! I got a quick question! Any advice on skin care? You have a flawless face skin! Thanks in advance!
Leaving a nasty comment for Dr.Gary about being bald? Then take that energy and go leave a nasty comment on a male plastic surgeons page who performs breast augmentation yet doesn’t have breast implants.
Amen!
@@drgarylinkov or just be nice. Trolls don’t have to make sense just delete rude stuff.
Thank you so much for sharing this reaction. I feel you genuinely care about putting valuable and clear information out there for others that might be facing hair loss and have doubts about procedures.
I love this channel. Dr. Linkov just gives professional, calm, cool vibes. The videos are really interesting and easy to watch. 🤗
We're so excited to see professionals talking about such a big thing in human nature like hair loss is, especially because of all the challenges misinformation about it can present to people. Keep up the good work, I'm sure our community really needs this type of content and the spreading of it.
As always, you’ve provided much needed information. Anyone who makes fun of your hair loss, is sick. You had a full head of hair until the alopecia kicked in. I have no idea who this Zane guy is, though I’ve never seen someone act like this before and after surgery.
After the guy gets in the car I couldn’t deal with listening to either of them😳
They do have a lot of energy 🤣
@@beachman58 Yes, and this guy’s apparently some celebrity. What has this world come to.
His the guy from David Dobrik’s videos.
He’s just having fun.
I really enjoy your clear-minded explanations. You are genuinely happy for the patients undergoing these procedures while being honest on patient responsibility.
Doc you're simply awesome in giving constructive criticism like I would love to be scolded by you with your soft tone
i have never seen a bald guy so beautiful
It’s incredible having such a humble expert break such an operation down step by step.
Bro!
I can feel your tiny bit of sadness about your condition in regards to your hair!
And I feel for you!
I just wanted to say you have a great face and a very kind and warm look and personality and I love your channel!
Some people may need hair to look and portray their best, but you certainly don’t!
I didn’t even know I was interested in this kind of a channel, but I just keep on clicking on your videos, and your face and warm personality is one of the main reasons!
Love you and your channel!
No homo 😘
All the best wishes from Norway 🇳🇴💪🏼😁
Your professional, yet gentle nature keeps me coming back. I'm subscribed and belled for notifications.
I could listen to you speak about all of these procedures for hours. Just so interesting. Thanks for the easy to understand education! I wen5 to my ENT yesterday, and I felt like it was a waste of time to tell me the can’t do much for tinnitus. Whole visit lasted less than five minutes. Ugh.
As a teen in the 90’s and early 2000’s, I was a victim of the thin eyebrow trend. 😂 An eyebrow hair transplant sounds amazing!!
Mine grew back and I feel so grateful
I'll be doing a patient showcase of an eyebrow transplant in the next month or so.
@ABeautifulLove thank goodness for my Italian genes, the only way to get rid off hair is lazer so it mostly grew all back.
Bro I love your personality, logic, and content. Keep em coming...
I figured the disclaimer in the opening segments was from idiots making dumb comments. Man, you’re good! Don’t let any comments get to you or feel like you have to explain your situation. Becoming a physician is super difficult and you’re a practicing physician. You don’t owe any of the haters a response. Let them hate and say their dumb comments. End of the day they’re nos toilette not doing anything productive with their lives
So true. Thank you.
Instead your life has to be soo full
Always such great advice. I love the transparency. I would definitely choose Dr. Gary for surgery if I needed it. Xo
Thanks dr. Linkov for your excellent commentary
You can tell that Dr. Linkov has a good and caring heart.
You’ve given me such an appreciation for my hair. I’m a woman but I was forced to shave my head unexpectedly a few months ago. It really got me down but it’s growing back and I wasn’t appreciative enough of that.
We stan Dr. Gary, you look so good with out hair I wish I had your head shape.
You seem genuine. I have watched several of your videos and they are all informative. You earned my sub brother. Thank you for helping us all out in more ways than you probably realize.

You do great explanations that relieve and dispel so many myths especially for younger patients

This channel is blowing up. Well done, doc! Been here since 8k subscribers.
You are very easygoing doctor keep the good work coming
i love this channel, I learn a lot and appreciate my hair more from it. thanks.
I think your unique hair situation makes you more empathetic to your clients emotional needs and well being. You’re my only choice for surgery when that day comes
You should make a reaction video too that Ollie London guy… its hot right now. Videos are getting over a mil views. Would be nice to hear your point of view as well.
Thanks for the suggestion!
when i started to loose hair i noticed that the hairstyle is very important too, allways keep your sides shorter then the top part, and dont grow long bangs cause the quality of hair is different , usually its looks very different in texture compared to a healthy hairs on the sides. Now im completely bold and im ok with it , the only sad thing is that i loved to have options :D
I enjoy your videos and the knowledge they provide. Your voice is very calming too
Great videos Doc! Thanks!
Thanks for the videos bro! I appreciate your insight
Great informative videos Gary. I just had my FUE done for the restoration of the temples and hairline. What is your take on Pantostin or topical anti androgens like topical Dustasteride or topical Finasteride for maintaining native hair?
Dr Gary is the best ! I too have an Autoimmune Condition . We can definitely suffer behind the scenes .. love your channel ! Hope to make it to NY to be a patient ! Introduced from Lori Hill to this channel
I think its bold and admirable when a man embraces his baldness
Would love something similar but for female FUT procedures (vs fue). addressing shock loss
Damn havent watched Zane in awhile it seems hes happy with his procedure. Good on him.
26:13 yes i agree with that, i got an FUE beard transplant around 4 days ago and i was a bit scared so i just filled some gaps of my beard using ~1500 grafts but when i saw the results it looked unnatural having such density shaped like that and i have to do another one which i can get hopefully in a few weeks from now to improve the shape. by the way, i got some lotion and shampoo for my beard and back of my head but i didn't get the ATP spray. they used a lot of this spray during the surgery though. The surgery was done by a turkish clinic in my neighbour hometown in germany
Your hair looks great in your photo mate
FUT hairs are located in the sweet spot. The most dht resistant hairs on the head. FUE doesn't offer that benefit. Both are great procedures however. It depends on an individual's needs.
I have watched some of your older videos (recently) where you still had hair and also your Alopecia journey, I subscribed semi-recently so I wasn't used to seeing you with hair. It's interesting that my brain associates your current look as the default and the head full of hair look as foreign.
Dr. Gary I love your reaction videos, more please
Thanks! And thanks for the thoughtful commentaries on the vids 🤙
Dude I love your videos!
I LOVE doctor Gary♥️
Can you do a video talking about bullying with alopecia areata I had it when I was 15 and even though my hair is back the bullying left some permanent damage
Thank you for your videos. Quick question, why is it that the transplanted hairs are DHT resistant?
Very educational and good info for someone interested in getting a transplant. If his hair thinned considerably, would medication like Finasteride still work? Think I heard from another channel that once it's 50% or less in diameter, the hair is doomed even with medication. Truth to that? Thanks for the easy to watch videos. Subscribed!
Fin could still help
Dr Linkov is sooooo personable ... awesome! If I would need HT and live in US ... then only with him;)
Thank you!
Hi 👋Gary, thanks 🙏 for all your videos which are very informative l, need one ☝🏾 say any more than that - other than, keep up the good work in increasing your viewers recommended.
I thought no hair was your look of choice. I think you look really handsome, definitely wouldn’t change it, I of course understand loosing your hair not by choice isn’t ideal, yet you could have easily done it by choice to bring out you very well proportioned face. Wouldn’t change a thing, still you do what makes you feel best of course 🌟
super professional doctor … chapeau ☘️👍

Just started watching your videos very informative I'm turning 32 and thinking about It. I might wait till 35. Currently I'm on medical therapy and your videos has been a great help. My hair is actually in a better start when I compare it to being 25 from minoxidil and finasteride. Keep up the great videos and thanks for informing us. If you can help yourself help others. And this is the perfect way to describe you. God bless you and keep and up the great work
tysm! can we expect any videos on low-level laser/light therapy for androgenetic alopecia?
Yes! On the list to film.
Love your videos!
What is your thought process behind using the 3-0 and 4-0 prolene to close the FUT incision? I'm more familiar with neurosurgery where I've seen 2-0 vicryl to close deep and 3-0 running nylon on the skin. Of course you aren't going to bone.. Looking for a different perspective on these closures. Thank you for the great videos.
Deep sutures are thought to potentially harm hair follicles. In reality it doesn’t matter too much. I use prolene on skin as a single layer.
Hi Doc: have you ever done vids on hair transplant from Turkey?
good video, ive watched a few of your vids but this is the once that convinced me to sub
Dr Gary seems like a real pleasant guy.
Hi! Can I ask you, what is the best clinics/surgeons in hairtransplant in the World?
Dear, thank you for the very well informative videos. A question, what about the use of sauna after the FUE? Thanks
By Delight B. -. Hello Dr. Linkov. I enjoy your videos. Your alopecia makes you look so clean and ethereal , pure, angelic. You do not need to apologize about your hair loss, it has only added to you, I know that sounds ( or written) as a misnomer, but it is true, it has added.
I’m not even interested in hair transplants but I’m obsessed wif ur vids dr you’re literally so funny and yes I subscribed and liked
I've had extreme long hair for few years now. Now I'm bald as yi donated it in solidarity to a family member that went through the worst. To be honest, as much as I liked my hair, I don't really think that it's such a difference for me as I look good both ways, but I haven't yet got reaction from strangers about a bald head.
1st off thank you so much for these informative videos and your honesty. 2nd, with your condition and the fact that you still help people who want that full head of hair speaks so much about you as a person. 3rd, YOUR GORGEOUS!!!
I know u felt down about losing your hair and I don't know what u looked like with a full head of hair but your bald head shape and all is gorgeous and I thank u for embracing it! keep the videos coming and informing people of the pros n cons of elective services. 🤎 from nashvile. God bless you Dr.G 😊
Great explanation! How long do you have to wait after the procedure to go back to normal sport at sports like wrestling or jujitsu?
I’m happy for him.
Very useful commentary.
Thanks!
Do you prescribe finasteride/propecia to patients after a hair transplant?
@Gary So I am on 2 hair regrowth medications, Keeps and Revival after 3-6 months if I see no results would you recommend a hair transplant and if so would you recommend shaving your whole head and getting the density to cover your whole head to disregard getting bald?
I don't want to comment anything doctor just want to say to say God bless you, I have had telogen effilum almost 9 months ago but not fully recovered, doctor prescribed me for minoxidil but that is steoridal minoxidil name is hairmax forte, I am scared to apply since it has steoride. What should I do? Doctor said recovering from telogen effilum automatically will take you years and if you want early then you can take over the counter medicine like minoxidil. What do you suggest? I didn't lose hair but hair was thinned out and doctor said they are prolonged in telogen phase so you feel like less hair and diffuse hair loss.
Can you do a video on eyebrows transplant?
I’m excited to get a hair transplant!
yo Doc, what do you think about hair transplant in Turkey ? is it any good ?
"I'm happy that there are people like me willing to put this on the internet"
I happy you are happy with yourself
You should do one on Arm Wrestler Matt Mask:)
I have a question Dr, with singular follicle hair transplants, do the hair follicles taken from the donor areas grow back over time once extracted? Thanks.
What questions should I ask if going to Turkey for a transplant to help get the right practices
I have binged your channel since I found it, love your content. Can you do a video covering the different hair loss pharmaceuticals such as topical finasteride, dutasteride and RU58841
A minoxidil video is dropping soon. We have many others to film.
this is crazy. On your channel I see people that have better hairs than I ever had (maybe as a kid I had more, but my whole adulthood was kind of "he just don't have that much hair") and they go for transplant, only because they have those "temples" a bit exposed :]
I not only had my "temples" exposed since as long as I remember - but also most of my other hair was simply thin and weak, so I just didn't pay attention to it that much. The dermatologist told me once "I have it too and I don't care, I will just go for transplant when it stabilizes"... and it somehow stayed with me, until now my forehead basically goes back untill upper neck :P
And it's kind of refreshing. I just shave my head, and don't care that much about anything - washing my hairs, visiting a barber, checking if they look nice etc. No need to wait until they dry after swimming. NO PROBLEM. Why would I need a transplant?
one aspires to be cool calm like you.
