Beautiful collection.
Thanks! That was a couple years ago

My favorite brush to use is the xcaliber 0000. It’s solved my problem of making fat lines
@@knowbody9679 definitely a great brush
Thanks for sharing the knowledge. I’ve been wanting to grab a Triple Hippy myself. Also a DC longliner. Practicing coach lines is my next feat
Cody Felix good luck, hopefully it goes better that my practices. :)
I have a couple of sword brushes but have never got used to the shorty handles, just don’t fit my fat little hands. I also have a couple of MAC DC liners I like as it has a longer handle and pulls nice short/long lines.I know many of the more mature pin striping community look at using scroll strippers as a cop out. I use Kafka scrollers, MAC Vortex and Bobbo brushes and love them. It’s tradition that stops many folks trying new things and I’m sure if these types of brushes were available back in the day, folks would have used them. I can only blame my paint mix and lack of ability😊 Great vid dude, love your style, awesome 👍
Gasolinescream thanks bro
I just started yesterday and started with the Mac 10 series 00 sword brush. It was harder than I thought. I waiverd to both sides pulling down with straight practice lines. I'll try the others tomorrow and see if there's a better fit. Thanks for your help.
You're not gonna understand that difference for 6 months to a year. The uncertainty you're running into is just part of the process. Practice a few times a week and you'll very slowly see growth. Measured in months and years. Not days
I practice on a regular basis with my Macks but I just can't make them do what my Kafka scrollers do with ease when it comes to the turns and curves....
Completely true what you said about long straight lines, it just requires a different type of skill. Have you ever tried a Chico brush?
It's actually a dagger style brush but I'm curious to know what you think of them.
Cap'n Cook I hear they were great quality brushes, but are no longer being made. He stopped producing them last year I do believe
You're right, i'ts the reason they just sit in my box rarely used anymore, I know I'm not going to be able to replace them. it's a fun brush, does things that would be difficult to do with a mack sword, you could actually do a little scrolling with them. If you're interested in trying one out let me know and I'll ship it out to you, free of course.
Cap'n Cook That's be awesome! I don't mind sending a couple bucks for shipping. Email me when you get a chance villapinstriping@gmail.com
Villa did you ever get your hands on one of those triple hippies? I'm really wanting to try one of those and also the xcaliber in a 0000. Not really sure if either would be worth the money as I'm leaning more towards scroll striping brushes at this point really digging the 0 and 00 sizes of Mack black widow wizards. They are just all around easier to maneuver for me but I'd like to become proficient with both sword and scroll stripers.
I have not gotten my hands on the triple hippies yet. Actually haven't purchased anything other than the Kafka scrollers in a while. It's hard for me to tell folks what would work for them personally because it really does fall under the category of personal preference like 99% of the time.
@@villapinstriping i understand that I'm experimenting with different brushes myself to see what I do and don't like just figured I'd ask about that triple hippie since you mentioned it in the video and I've been wanting to get my hands on one myself. 🤘
@@thisfool260 I still totally wanna get one! I wanna try that Mack Kelly one too and the New Mr.Oz. you already know how it is 😂😆. Gotta catch them all!
@@villapinstriping if and when I get to place a order with Mack I'll add an extra one of those triple hippies for you. Money has been tight but you have helped me out alot. I kinda put my extra income this week into a certain raffle but I've been scoping out that hippie and xcaliber for awhile so I'm hoping to get an order placed soon. 🤞
@@thisfool260 Aw bud you don't have to. I appreciate the thought tho!
Great vid,, Mack Kelly brush is a great brush and holds a lot of paint, just not for tight turns. For long lines try the Mack peewee, another awesome brush. Now I’m playing with the Mack hot rod surf brush, great for traditional 50’s Pinstriping. It’s a bigger brush but very soft and maneuverable similar to king 13. You really can’t go wrong with any of these brushes, just depends on what you are doing.
Wheels 2 I've seen a young dude scrolling with the Kelly Mack. He's a big inspiration of mine, Carlitos Alvez.. really shows what they can do in different hands. Dude is way better than me.
why not show examples of the lines?
Miss Linda I have over 400 videos of me Pinstriping. I figured there's enough of my examples on my page. The difference in line can be created by many different variations within the same brush depending on down press and brush load.
Show what type of line each of he can create would have taken away from what I was trying to show during this video
I see. I just happened on to this one video when I was trying to find out some information about some paint brushes I have inherited. My mistake, I am not a follower of many people on CZcams but perhaps I should look you up! Sounds like I could learn some thing. Thank you.
@Linda Gossett Feel free to reach out to me personally. If they are Pinstriping or sign lettering brushes I may be able to help you identify what you have.
